[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Giving him one temporary last stroke over his right cheek, Shiva just watched Braixen leave in direction to the den then. Whatever may be wrong - and she was sure there was something wrong - fox shall have his chance to defend what holds importance to him. There was something in the lonely silent breeze that blew through her hair while she stared at the spot she saw the tail tip of her fox disappear. Nevertheless she turned around heavy-heartedly and began her way back to the spot where Nathan was residing and waiting for them (May it be somewhere on the Route or the Center of Wineberry, I'm actually not sure on this). This time, she just needed to trust Ven... Trust is a fragile plant.

She was sure Braixen will find his way back to her eventually. He was loyal and happy enough with her as his Master and caretaker to not try to deliberatly escape her.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It didn't take long to spot Nathan lurking, and with the former happenings between them she approached him a little more carefully to not startle or discomfort him. She greeted him normally and in the normal soft voice, though.

"Greetings, Nathan. Sorry that we - I - kept you waiting, and thank you that you did wait. Ven should arrive so soon as well, or so do I hope... Meanwhile, you care to tell me whether youreceived any calls from home? Nurse Joy contacted me along the way, saying that Professor Mallorn missed to tell us one thing, but also that he'll leave that to your mother."

He sighs, still not looking directly at Shiva.  Kirlia is doing his best to encourage Nathan.  After a moment, he sighs again.  "Look...Shiva, I'm sorry...I let my emotions get the better of me and made an incredibly stupid decision acting on them..."

Regret is a powerful emotion.  He means what he says, but this was going to hang over him for awhile...

...Neat. She actually did not expect him to open up that soon. It was clear that Kirlia played a big role on this decision, which was actually good and bad. Good, since his encouragement suceeded; bad, because she was unsure whether the apology will be true because of that. Another positive aspect Shiva notice was that Kirlia was leaving her alone for quite a while now. The reasons for that...well, she wasn't actually that inclinged to find out. Better enjoy this 'freedom'.

She only looked at him for a while after the initiate wary expression faded, not giving any hints of a reaction on the outside.

... ... ...

Maybe it was a suprise that she kept that soft tone. She didn't mean to blame him nor his actions, and least of all she wanted to hurt him. Shouldn't have tried any mindgames. While she thought bringing up his home in Trillium would soft-force a reaction from him, it only made things worse. Meh...

"...You did indeed acted in a way I would have never expected you to do and brought not only you, but all of us into needless danger and fights that could have easily prevented. However, I'm glad that you realized that and feel sorry for that. Just...don't do such stunts again, alright? We likely won't have the same luck to get out unharmed from more bases, the residence of The Almanac if we ever find it, or the elusive Skull Ruins themeslves. If we don't stick together there, it's likely that things wll be way lss fortune for us."

Another moment of silence...there's nothing more to say on that matter, really...well, except that last point.

"...and Ventus hasn't come back with you, because...?  If there's any time to stick together, it's now, when our enemies are likely on high alert."

"...I doubt they're on high alert. If they want to come, let them come, sooner or later they will. But they likely have noticed that their elusive jar with the weird content and attatched network of wires and chips is missing, as well as their Neverstone, and that someone messed with that solo Scimitar. Anyway..."

At his comment on Ven being absent although he was with her before, worry emerged in Shiva from somewhere deep, Kirlia would likely notice if he wasn't that selfish and concentrated on Nathan (in this moment, the thankfulness that the psychic Fairy didn't care increased), but she did a fine job on concealing it and leaving the things she cannot change alone.

"He'll come back eventually. He always does, I do hope so that he also does in one piece. Don't know if there is any point in searching for him, I guess I'll just stay here waiting. In the end he returns while we are off searching for him... He said he wanted to pay his own tribute to the spot where I met my magical fox, and desired me to not wait for him." ... "I feel that was a lie and he nevertheless went hunting with his Arbok. Oh well, I hope they won't entcounter a Flareon."

(While waiting, I guess I'll send in a Tutoring Session for Helios. Incoming.)

"Four strangers walk into their base like it's nothing, steal two incredibly valuable devolution items from under their noses, and walk past two rather suspicious guards on their way out?  They'll be rather wary."

Kirlia might not care much about what Shiva thinks, but he knows Nathan does.  It's a big reason this mess started again in the first place.  He'd been keeping an eye on Shiva so Nathan would know everything was going to be fine.

Whether Nathan gets notified of the worry or not, he's rather worried himself...he's got a hand on his forehead again..."Shiva, I highly doubt he's 'paying tribute' to that area.  Whatever he has planned, he shouldn't be doing it by himself...that's too risky right now...and we're supposed to be leaving, not goofing off around here..."

Another sigh.  "...but fine.  If he's not back soon, though, I'm going out there to look for him, and I'll drag him back here myself if I have to.  And the odds of him finding a wild Flareon are probably next to nothing, so I wouldn't worry about that.  I'm more worried about what trouble he might be getting himself into..."

Helios was awake as soon as Shiva recalled him from his ball, and just looked up to his Master wondering what was wrong. They were a little away = out of eyesight of Kirlia and Nathan (how rejoiced she was that he didn't just ran off to search for Ven!) to not trigger any show-offer-detected-feels from the Abra. However, he was making good progress, and Shiva was somewhat sure that he'll be a good Alakazam one day. Well, if they ever make it past being an Abra, but it's not like both Master and Pokemon were working on this. Alakazam, known for their immense psychic powers, would be quite a development if taking a look at Helios. One day he'll shine, one day he'll show those nasty Poison Types...

"Be welcome back, Helios. It's been a while, was it? Well, I do hope you enjoyed your rest and undisturbed sleep within Pokeball. I also hope you kept in mind what Ventus teached you about the basics of meditation. Reaching a relaxed and free state is key to the alpha waves of your brain, as a Kadabra you will be able to emit them at will. For now, please keep on practicing your concentration and focus whenever you have the time to do so, use that silverly spoon as a help if you wish."

" ...You remember the last time we were trying out creating illusions and copies of yourself? You did quite a fine job then. Please show me that again, and try to bring up not only two authentical copies of yourself this time, but three." She hesitated quite a bit before speaking out the next words - oh, the uncomfortableness of the thought! - but there was nothing that'd speak against that if she keeps it under control, would it? 'Know the enemy' was what Ven told her, and that was the reason he knew exprcism chants... Maybe Shiva could and should take an example on that concept? While the answer was likely 'double-yes', it still gave her shivers. "I...also was lucky enough to find a TM. Practically, that's a CD that will teach you a move on instant. I'd enjoy YOU being theone to learn the move it contains, I'll just...have to get used to it by myself..."

-------------
Mechanics:
Tutoring Session for Double Team on Abra, No.2 out of ???. 5 Sucesses were scored at the first Tutoring Session, 5 more needed to master the move. No XP are granted for Tutoring Sessions.

Tutoring Roll: 3 Insight + 3 Knowledge + 2 Move Tutoring = 7 D6

I also wonder how Helios reacts to the declaration of him being the one to learn another move by TM, and whether he does notice that Shiva is pretty sure on her decision, just have to get used to using THE Poison move.

"Nathan, if he survived a vile attack of a Skunktank, some strong force is needed to kill him off. He may not act like it, but he can take good care of himself. ... I didn't accidently chased him off by...hugging one too many times, okay? And if there was a Fennekin in the forest that even came with me, I like to believe there are more Fire Types in the forest. They just don't show themeselves to people~"

Abra would actually be happy to learn a new move! As long as he doesn't have to stay awake spamming it. When he grows up, he'll be a chessmaster Pokemon of the highest caliber, obsessed with strategy and versatility. Or at least he would be in the wild.

(1)(4)(2)(2)(3)(6)(1)(1) That's only one success.

On second thought, maybe Abra is a little worried about that move. The copies he summons up keep melting into piles of a purple toxic goo. The more this happens, the more frustrated he gets, until you are forced to end the session early.
