Besides, @Lord Windos, wouldn't you want Ven to send a message to us telling where he is and whether he and Valder arrived in Ginger Town at all? I know you're a little ahead of the timeline than me and Nathan are, but it wouldn't hurt to let us know and at least Shiva won't head to bed right away after speaking with Nathan, so there's a good chance that she'll receive the message.

Alright, I'll have him record a message to both Shiva and Nathan, stating he's running an errand for Belle and Tramp, and won't be back until later at night. Since he's currently trying not to faceplant into ditches and run afowl nasty Pokémon and people in the dark, though, don't expect him to look over his text messages right away.

Sounds alright. Professor Mallorn will be there tomorrow, so if Ventus will be present as well, he can have my Electric rodents on loan for study then before Shiva will head off to the Daycare (stopping by in the camp to put up Nidoran for trading) and likely not come back until night.

Ventus can be quite the sweet talker, smooth charmer, and all around attractive gentlemen if he give an honest effort at trying to woo a lady. See Sochi for a great example of that in action, and maybe Shiva and Ventus in the future...

Now that Nathan has brought up this topic, I have realized this could be a chance for Ventus to participate in the Running after all. He has no desire to run afowl with the coppers or interact with them during the event, but if he learns about Nathan's plans to subdue that Absol/joining the running...he would have more than an incentive to join up. He knows how dangerous both of those things are, and would feel sufficiently motivated to join up and participate despite his reservations. Remember, safeguarding his friend is one of his primary goals in life!

Well, Nathan joining the run, Ventus will definitely hear about right now.  Absol...only if Ventus decides to participate after all.  Which is the same amount of info Shiva's getting.

Only reason Nathan asked about the topic now is so he could figure out if he has to warn Ventus about the upcoming danger since he knows Ventus was at least interested in the event, seeing as he got that text concerning the Running previously.

I thought he's somewhat shy/not sure about treating Shiva like a lady? At least you once said so... Doesn't mean that she wouldn't enjoy it though (oh, of course she would!~), but it might increase the 'he's acting weird around me'-issue. At least for now, when she has no idea about his hidden interest.

Speaking of joining The Running... Imaginable off-character scenario:

Shiva, living in Ginger Town after the journey, makes it a habit to join The Running and make it a total blast by overshadowing all those ordinary Ponyta-Riders on a fire-spitting Oblivicorn, over the time she made it to tame it enough to ride it. (She'd run for T.O.R.C.H.I.C.K.) After The Running, meet up with Xiani and drink herbal tea.
