[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

His cheer drops and he sighs.  "Taken care of.  Except their Gardevoir got away with both of the kids.  No idea where they went.  That's not something we need to worry about currently, though.  No, instead, there's ANOTHER menace to Celadon wandering around in the night, and there's a chance she might jump us.  I've gotten a little extra help should that happen, though, so that'll hopefully be well accounted for.  And if we don't get jumped on the way to our meeting with Mina?  Well, then we'll lure out that menace and take care of her too.  She's been attacking and killing women in the dead of night for a few days now, and I've had enough of this nonsense with unnecessary death.  

"Let's not worry about that too much though.  If we don't get jumped on the way to the meeting, there's no reason for you to worry about it.  So let's just refocus for a moment..."

"Alright...your drawing.  I think that's pretty darn good.  I'm sure Mina will like it a lot.  Hmmm...what about Yang, though?  You think he'd like it?  Shall we ask him?"

Emily cups her face with at the news that Gardevoir abscouding with Joey/Margret , and she only grows more worried as you inform her of Celadon's latest Vampire, and her string of femine fatalities left in their night time wake. "Oh no...! Mmm...Why is all this bad stuff in the world happening this week, hurting and scaring everying in Celadon? I thought Archie would be the end of our troubles, but more nasty things keep popping up, and they only seem to get worse Mister. Death...it doesn't bother me anymore, but that doesn't mean I like hearing it happen to others, since they don't get second chances like I do.... *Sigh* I just want me, you, and everyone else happy and safe, not constantly facing bad guys, killers, and scary things..."

"...But I can't let this get me down, right? Tonight's a super important night for me, so I need to stay positive, and not let fear get in the way of my dreams! You, Kyubi, Mew, and your funny guard will protect me, and help everyone by stoping that horrible cunt and punishing her for all the deaths she caused. I know you can do it, 'cause I believe you can do anything in the world, Mister! You are a super hero!!!"

"Hehe...thank you for the compliment! I sure hope she likes it too, Mister, because I made it especially to impress her, and show that I am capable of being as good of a artist as her! You are right that Yang should get to see it too, since the picture was made all because of his beauty! I just hope he approves of it too, or not get mad that I drew him without his permission..."

"Hehe...thank you for the compliment! I sure hope she likes it too, Mister, because I made it especially to impress her, and show that I am capable of being as good of a artist as her! You are right that Yang should get to see it too, since the picture was made all because of his beauty! I just hope he approves of it too, or not get mad that I drew him without his permission..."

The encouragement does help put the smile back on Reiner's face.  "I'm sure Yang won't dislike it.  Though I can't really speak for him, of course, so let's see what he thinks."

And out comes Yang!

...once sufficient space in the room has been cleared, of course.

"Well, Yang, it seems Emily's decided to give drawing a picture of you a whirl.  We'd like to hear your thoughts on it since she's been pouring a lot of time and effort into trying to make it look just right."

The lusterous serpent gave both you and the little miss a aloof yet somewhat interested look, before he craned his neck down to get a gander at the piece of artwork featuring his presence. He stared at it for about a minute or two, taking in the sight of him serenely meditating at the bottom of a lake/ocean bed, before he turned to regard Emily with his imperious stare....before twisting his tail around to pat her on the head with it for a job well done. Yang was not the least bit prideful or vain when it comes to himself in general, as he knew with utter certainty that he simply the best Dragon that exists (Legendaries be damned), but even he can appreciate fine artwork such as this, especially coming from the skilled hands of an adorable little girl! Yang's Happiness increases by 1!

"Alright then, I'd say that's an excellent sign.  Now, ready to go meet Mina?  Oh, but before we head out, I need to speak with one of the officers in the area about watching our backs while we're heading to the hotel.  She, Arial, and a very good friend of mine are who will be helping me with dealing with that nighttime serial killer, so there's certainly plenty of help to go around, thankfully."

Emily jumps for joy as the awaited time came for her to meet the alustrious Mina, quickly tucks her artpad beneath her arms, gobbles up the rest of her steak with a gusto, before racing straight out of the room and downstairs to the lobby, clearly eager to get a move on! You follow her downstairs, seeing the girl hanging out with Arial and Petrel, the latter of which is keeping her entertained by some light PG conversation and his Mimikyu playing around with the shadows under the table, before you exit the Center to go find Officer Angelica. Fortunately, you don't have much trouble at all in the task, as she ended up running into you, almost sending you both to the ground, but her Chansey was thankfully their to prevent the fall.

"Oh, sorry about that! I just got the feeling that you needed my assistance with something awhile ago, so I've been searching the area for any trouble first, before I started to look for you to fulfill your will. How do you want your will be excercized by us, Sir?"

...before you exit the Center to go find Officer Angelica. Fortunately, you don't have much trouble at all in the task, as she ended up running into you, almost sending you both to the ground, but her Chansey was thankfully their to prevent the fall.

"Thank you, Chansey.  Good to know you're prompt, Angelica.  Yes, I need your help with something.  I'm sure you've heard all about that Vampire from various police reports, yes?  Well, I'm concerned I might run into her tonight while I'm on an errand.  And if I don't, I'm probably gonna go looking for her once that errand is finished.  I've learned some...worrying information about this nighttime killer, and I'm going to need your help to bring her down before she causes any more trouble.  We need to be getting a move on soon, so I'll keep the summary brief.  The Vampire likes using bugs, ambushing targets from the shadows at every opportunity, spams potions like there's no tomorrow, and she has two very, very powerful weapons at her disposal: a large, muscular, incredibly powerful Bug/Fighting pokemon that apparently compares to the strength of a Legendary, and a tazer-like weapon that saps the strength of anything she hits with it.  Aside from her muscular bug, she also has a Shedinja that uses Heal Block and a Beautifly that uses Whirlwind.

"So, here's the current plan:  I've got two friends in the Center's lobby who'll be helping us out with this problem Celadon's experiencing.  I want you to stick with them for the time being and watch my back while I handle that errand.  The lady who's been sticking with me since this morning, Kyubi, is going to be walking with me and Emily, the 11 year old artist.  If any of us get jumped by the Vampire on the way to our destination, we'll have to deal with the issue immediately in whatever way we can using what information we know.  If not, we can plan how we're going to lure the Vampire out once my errand's complete.

"Now then...one more thing.  Before we head out, I want to give you these:"

Reiner hands Angelica two of the Ranc Berries he has on hand.

"You've been friends with your Chansey and Golbat for awhile now, right?  Maybe a little nudge would get them to evolve.  If you want to evolve them, those should make it a little easier on ya.  And once that's all done, I'll introduce ya properly to the two you'll be working with tonight and then we can get going."

You unflitchingly faithful servent cringed when she realized that you have become aware of the Vampire and the targeted serial killings on the fairer portion of Celadon's population, but she recovered quickly, as she knew that you were a powerful and capable being. The Police and Gym might not be able to track down and pin that blood guzzling monster and bring them to justice, but with you on the case and hot on the killer's trail, Angelica felt that everything was going to be alright. She would just have to work extra hard protecting you from the Vampire, if they decided to ambush them from the shadows like the craven coward that they were!

The Police Officer was quite surprised about the amount of information you were able to gather on the killer's Pokémon and their capabilities, but she chalked it off to her lord being extremely wise and resourceful, as he always is. The mention of a Bug type who's powers were comparable to a Legendary made her more than a little worried facing off against such a titanic threat, especially when her master said it was STACK and RIPPLING with muscle mass, but they managed to steel themselves and nod along to your plan, having complete and utter faith that you could see everyone through this in one un-pulped piece!

Angelica give you a firm, crisp salute when you finished converying your orders, and respond with : "Understood, sir! I will protect Emily and Kyubi to my fullest ability, and provide addition support from the rear when its feasible. In addition, Emily safety will be my first priority if the Vampire engages us, but I will react as you command, and adapt my action accordingly!Everyone safety tonight is my highest concern...especially yours, sir!" The woman of justice looked dead serious in her statements, and you had quite the strong feeling that she was willing to do any and all things to fufill those goals....even if it cost her life. Absolute Loyalty sure has its perks, eh?

The unexpected gift of Ranc Berries, though, brought a look of faint surprise on the officer's face, before the grim determination she previous had was replace (for the time being) with a sense of geniune adoration, bliss, and heartfelt thankfulness. She gave you small smile and a nod of her head, before releasing her Golbat, which quickly took to the air and started to flutter erratically. Unexpectidly, the bat was NOT under then geas/mind control that Angelica and Chansey were under, and you saw him giving you and his master furitive glances, taking note of how utterly devoted she was to you. So this was the bloke that Ann was enamored with, huh? Doesn't seem like...wait, is that a Team Rocket cap on his head? It IS! The Golbat looked briefly startled at the revelation, before they smiled and let out a happy screech, swooping down beside you and giving you a pat on the back with his wing. No wonder his master loves the bloke so much, if he's a part of his old gang of devious buddies and bandits! He's going to get along just fine with you, and appears quite eager to start whatever task you have for him/Angelica.

With Golbat's seal of approval in place, your officer hands him and Chansey a Ranc Berry, which they are more than happy to hastily devour. Once the berries were fully digested, their effects trigger, raising both Pokémon's Happiness by 1, and causing them to glow bright white light in an instant! Chansey form expanded in size by a substantial amount, an you could see frills beginning to form around its torso. Meanwhile, the inverse happen with Golbat: his body become much more compact, and his wings were re-absorbed into his body....only for 4 larger ones to spring back out in their place! The evolutionary light gradually faded away, revealing Blissey and Crobat, ready and willing to fight!

After a moment of celebration between Angelica and her Pokémon (There was much hugging involved, and you were dragged into it as well!), you all headed back to the Pokémon Center lobby, were everyone else was awaiting the beginning of tonight's series of operations. Wonder if everything will go smoothly as you hope? Hmm...

Heh.  Good to see there's definitely still some personality to her.  He'd have to talk to Valarie about possibly getting her some kind of promotion or job transfer later...both because she was seemingly doing spectacularly with her current job, and because she'd probably prefer to be able to assist him if needed.  Accidental servant or not, she is still a person, after all.  Reiner wasn't going to treat her and her pokemon like mindless slaves.

"Angelica, just so you know, I'm worried about that big, bad bug as well.  You're not alone in that. That's why I'm asking for your help, as well as the help of some of my associates.  Between 4 of us using 2 pokemon each, we'll hopefully be able to handle it.  This Vampire needs to go down before she causes any more trouble for Celadon.  Now then, let's get to the introductions, shall we?"

(Back in the lobby for final preparations)

"Alright gang, this is Officer Angelica.  Now, I know I said she has a Golbat and a Chansey, but they just evolved, conveniently enough.  All the better to fight big bugs with, right? Go ahead and introduce yourselves, and then we'll split into our two groups and head out to the hotel."

Arial decide to be the first one to introduce.

"Heya, name Arial. Maniac, misontropic, madman, hater of humanity in general, aaaand Reiner bodyguard. Well, I try to do that but I kinda kick his face this morning, heh. Oh, and a profissional to be almost be killed in various ways. Nice to meet you Officer Angelica. Or not. I kinda have some loose screws after a Mew almost psychic me to the dead. I kinda deserve it."

Arial was eating a piece of pizza he order and he and Gaspar as both eating.

"Someone want a piece? We really have a stuff stomach to fight that Vampire. I just hope its a traditional vampire and not one from Twilight. I hate that series. Still have nightmares."

Reiner mentally facepalms.  Wow...Arial has like, no sense of tact nor self preservation.  How was he still alive and not in jail, again?  Oh yeah, right...useful meat shield.  "You've always had a few loose screws, Arial.  Just because you got hit by a Psychic attack, that doesn't mean it was a Mew that did it...and no, I don't want a slice of pizza.  No time for snacking right now."

Hopefully Arial would get the hint and stop talking about Mew in a very public area.  Not that anyone was likely to believe him, but...can't be too careful, right?
