Besides, would you rather Nathan use Orthros since that's the only fire type he has on hand currently?  Or Calam with Swords Dance boosted Night Slashes and Razor Winds that only need 3 successes to crit?  Far worse options for this battle, imo.

As long as Nathan is not trying to outright steamroll Ventus, then everything is muy Bueno to me. If he does go all out to legitimately crush both them and Shiva, Ventus is just going to out and out forfeit the match, as he wants a friendly battle, not a contest of wills or strength. Since that would be counter productive for both their goal to understand the power of the Vishnu ship, and Ven's Pokémon doesn't get any XP for their hard effort, let's not get to that point...

Using Orthus would more or less end the battle immediately, as neither Ventus nor Shiva would really want to fight against you at THAT point (The former would be irate, and the later would be traumatized), and Callam isn't totally indominable.....just a pesky threat that would be ganged up upon immediately, like poor old Michael.

Let's hope the outcome to the battle doesn't leave us all bitter, and instead happish!

Internet Connection suddenly combusted on me, that's why I was off all of a sudden. It should work now again.

If you'd send out the hound, Shiva would rethink quitting the battle and probably won't talk with Nathan for a looong time, so I'm delighted that won't happen. Punishing someone with ignoring is a hard thing if keeping in mind how compassionate Shiva usually is. ._.

Just don't try and outright steamroll Nathan in turn.  Michael's Round 1 didn't exactly look like he was pulling his punches very much, since both Grid and Starmie could have been downed instantly were it not for the shenanigans Nathan opted to use instead of all out attacking.

Absorb was only that powerful due to SE and HH, while Façade is his only real attacking move besides Tackle, which power would quickly be diluted by both your Pokémon's natural Vit to 2 Dice of damage ( STR (3) + 2 - Vitality (3) ) . That, and he WAS fighting against a Psychic type with Confusion abilities and a bug with Paralysis, Screech, and Fury Cutter/Electro Web/Electro Ball, so I thought using Façade only once per round would be fair enough, especially since he's not using Spore and Leech Seed to be even MORE annoying...

Starmie using Psybeam was an error on Iron's part.  Was supposed to be Psywave, which wouldn't have dealt the SE damage and has no Confusion chance.  And Starmie also doesn't know Confuse Ray yet, nor is the Confusion status the ultra powerful accuracy reducer that it is in the Celadon campaign.

Breloom also doesn't have to worry about bugs too much because Fighting resists bug.  Thus, he takes neutral damage from bug moves.

I had every dice calc this time, which tends to reduce my errors. But now the stakes are higher!

Michael would have 3/8 HP, as being hit by Leech Life would reduce HP to 2, but Toxic Orb would raise it back up to 3. Grid would still be in the fight with 2 HP due to Leech Life draining 1 HP from Michael.

Overall, both sides didn't suffer overly much for this round, beside Paralysis being proced onto Porygon, but that just nullifies the Agility boost, so its all good in the end! Michael is taking quite the beating, though; I know he can take the damage like a boss, but I really don't want to push his limits...
