I was just being artsy/poetic in that instance, mate! Still, purple is a rather powerful color, historically speaking, so those flames might have had some impact on Shiva's/Ventus' moods!

Or their lifeforce.  Litwick's flames grow bigger while they're continually feeding, after all (as shown in the anime)...and considering Shiva did just that earlier...

K, it seems Ven doesn't want to kill the moment by telling her how Heart and Nathan had their difficulties (very appreciated, though!). She'll rather quickly notice how they're avoiding one another though - like, during not-elaborated breakfast before continuing the path. It's only a matter of time until she'll ask someone, probably Ven to get a neutal viewpoint of it, what happened - and she won't be pleased by either of them. Mediator-Skills...
