(That +loyalty made me laugh, so kudos to you!)

The researcher, without any hesistation at all (Though Rapheal/Lucifer were watching Machop very closely) firmly gripped the body building Pokémon's hand and hoisted them up on the tarn's bank! "There we go! Climbing these mountains is difficult enough as ordinary human without equipment or Pokémon assistance, but that doesn't appear to be a daunting for you friend! Well, now that you are up here, what are your plans now, Machop?"

Ah, Horsea weren't that rare... Or was it just because she seemed to be not that good at fishing? Or there wasn't anything elusive down in the depth? Sure, she owned a Dragon Scale as it been gifted to her by sailor on the HMS in Corsage, but the time it'd take to evolve one of these into a Seadra and then use that Scale she's been keeping as some sort of charm to evolve and trade the Pokemon away for somethingselse... Eh, she'd prefer to invest that time into Pokemon she desires to keep and care for, actually.

With that said, she pulled the rod back in and motioned Azurill to follow her, as they made their way back to the party. Greeting that Machop and handing the fishing rob back to its respectful owner with a "Thanks for lending, Ven... Had no luck though.", she placed herself beside the shore, resuming to stare at her reflection in an undisclosed manner. That place had a mystical thing about it, which was greatly to Shiva's taste - or was it just her imagination? Whatever it was, she neither couldn't move on like that, these scratches... Eh... Maybe it'd be a good call to buy an antiseptic agent somewhere in Stair. For now, that water will do - carefully extending one hand, she touched the water surface, before taking some of it into the cupped hand and letting ot flow over any scratches she might have suffered to reach this tarn, while Azurill is allowed to take a cautious swim in this water.

Once that has been done, she finally turned to Valder and Nathan. "So, sorry for the delay. Now, there you go..." *placing the bottle containing the elusive water near both Calam and freshly-evolved Haunter, awaiting their reaction* "Anything unusual about it?"

There's nothing unusual about it, other than its amazing clarity, but Azurill gains +1 Loyalty for you working so hard to take her to this place!

Nathan and Kirlia are looking towards the Skull Ruins while Shiva is fishing and Ventus is messing with that Machop.

Almanac was there.

And there were vines in there somewhere as well...and way too many ghosts to count in the lower levels...and mannikin kings...plural...

Mesprit was probably only one piece of the puzzle...part of the journey would probably involve finding Azelf and Uxie as well...maybe Stair City might have a library with some clues?

Shiva approaching startles him a little and breaks that line of thought, though.

"Hm?  Oh, right, the water.  Calam?"

Nathan just shrugs when Calam confirms there's nothing 'magical' about the water.

"Not really surprised about that, to be honest.  The few travelers who see these bodies of water always seem to comment on how amazingly clear the water in them is, but not much else.  The Skull Ruins, though..."

Back to staring at them.

"...they reek of an eerie energy that everyone can notice.  Only the bravest and most foolhardy people go there..."

"That's indeed a valid question. Today I act like a magnet to Pokemon." Heart then remember about the Geodude who follow him. "I forget to tell something: When I was out, one Geodude was following me. Did anyone know something about it?"

Machop splashes in the water a bit. But then he goes back to Ventus and points Westward, along the spine of the divide. That seems to be where he ultimately shall go.

The researcher pondered at the martial Pokémon's commitment of scaling and traversing the entirety of the west side of the mountain range, before they smiled and nodded to them. "Then I suppose this where we part our seperate ways, Machop. If your goal is to cross these perilous, pitted, and powerful mountain, then I pray to Reshirim that you journey is, if not safe, then uneventful in the worst of ways. Still, it would behoove me to only give you well wishing for you travels, so here," Ventus said, before he reached into his satchel and pull out a few: A small and easy to open baggie that he often stores sandwiches in, two Apples, an Oran Berry, a bottle of that clean water, and a few strands of spider silk he had collected earlier.

He opened up the baggie and place the fruit, berry, and water inside, closed it up, before fiddling around with it and the string to create a sort of makeshift satchel that could be easily carried on either their arms or the neck. The sociologist then handed over to the wild fighter and said to them: "Its not much, but I know how hard it is to savage food and fresh water in places like this, and storing them even harder when on the move. Take these supplies, and use them as you see fit. May you be well, Machop."

Once his meeting/encounter with the Fighting type had concluded, he wandered over to where Shiva was angling at, and soon enough his fishing rod was returned with a sullenness aura of discontent/failure. In response, he gave the fae lass a look of sympathy , then patted their head with an easy going smile. "Fishing, while requiring some modecrum of skill and ample patience, is very much 'hit or miss' in regards to what you end up reeling in. At time you can catch rarities such as Corsola, while at other time you get naught but Magikarp or Goldeen. Its the nature of the practice/lifestyle, so don't feel too put out by your lack of success!"

At Nate's comment on the ruins, he found himself in complete agreement with the boy for once, but still had a little more to say on the subject. "If its anything like Celestial Tower  or the Relic Castle out in the Unova Desert, then its a place to avoid unless you have business or some goal that necessitate you being there. Unfortunately for us, with the Scimitars and Almanac's arcane movements with regards to Ancient Cheshire, sooner or later we will have to explore the place ourselves, especially if we consider Kirlia visions of the dreaded place and my reading with the mystic at the Festival. All we can do now is prepare for that eventful day, but its something to keep in mind..."

Heart's question about Geodude was just meet with :" Oh, they just follow us around for whatever reason. Pay them no mind or treat them well, and they'll do the same in turn for you." Ven then, with everyone's attention now on him, said to them all : "Now that we had the chance for some respite and that Lucifer has helped chart a path for us, let's move onwards now, shall we? I rather escape the mountains before night falls, as who knows what could be lurking up here at that dire time of the day..."
