The Running stampede was a sight the researcher did NOT expect to witness until the next year in Ginger Town, but he soon steeled himself for yet another erratic, exacting race with the wild beasts! "Indeed! We must advance onwards or be crushed underfoot, so prepare thyselves my friends!" Ventus then recalled Raphael and summoned his kick boxing shroom in their place, keeping Lucifer out to help preform airel recognassance and dive boom enemies from above! "Brothers, get ready to fight, run, and survive this onslot! I'll be by your sides, so do not fret about me!"
Order: Pushing down slope to overcome this herd of Pokémon, with Michael and Lucifer as his given Pokémon at all time in theses Encounters! I want to do at least 3, since I have the Vitality for it, so let me at them!

Well, nice. If Shiva knew what would await here in the mountains, she'd preferably go for Ven's initiate plan and try to get past the Almanac Blockade. Now, there was no escape from the running Pokemon.
... No escape? Climbing is no option, the only way was forward and running Pokemon coming from behind? Time for panic!!!
In that moment, Swiftfire was even more valued and beautiful, and after letting go of her neck - which she instantly hugged closer at the startle of what is coming there - and hopped right up on her back. She certainly knows how to ride Pokemon and simply hoped that she won't suffer any accidently burns. "I'm counting on you, dear one, so please go for it! Nathan, we'll see one another again later, bye and thanks for lending me your fierly horse!" Off she was, in an eager to escape these Pokemon galloping. Looks like the Pokemon were faster, though, as they came closer...

Mechanics:
I'll do at least 2 Encounters. Ready for the first one when the dice are!~

The remnants of the Running tear into your little group!
Shiva: (3)(2) = 5, a Kangaskhan leaps into the gully to separate you from the group! However, you do see a Tropius juuust out of reach...
Ventus: (6)(2) = 8, Rhyhorn. It charges into the cliff wall, giving you a bit of time to get your bearings.
Dragonstrike: (7)(3) = 10, Doduo. A classic stampeding Pokemon.
Valder: (2)(9) = 11, Nidorino
Heart: (2)(6) = 8, Rhyhorn for you as well! The rocky Pokemon does its best to intimidate you, bearing down on you until you have backed away from the rest of the party! They've got their own battles to fight...

Taking the opportunity presented to himself by the rocky dinosaur nearly braining itself on the rocky slopes, Ventus nimbly makes his away around it to approach his REAL target of choice, one he spot through the dust and haze that sent his blood into a boil: a Pinsir! Motioning and shouting to his two brothers, he commanded them to: "Lucifer, use Screech on the vice grip insect, before blowing it away with some stiff breezes! Michael, use Spore until it falls asleep, then struggle with all your might against it with Façade! Do not take this opponent lightly, or it will squeeze the life out of you, so stay cautious!"
Order: Lucifer will use Screech to give the bug one heck of a headache, then use Gust two times this round (3 times in later rounds) to quickly crack its chitenous shell down! Michael will focus of using Spore on it until its asleep, then start laying into it with 2 Facades this round, and 3 Façade per round after the first. When its knocked out, Michael will also use Stun Spore on its unresisting form to paralyze it too, and then Ven will toss his last Pokeball at it. If that fails, leave the Pinsir to be trampled by the rest of the Pokémon, as Ven has no sympathies for its kind!
Moves:
Screech
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Channel (3) - 3 Actions = 5D6 Dice
Effect: Known
Gust
Accuracy: 8D6 - 4/5 Actions = 4/3D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 2 + STAB + SE - Vitality (*1 [If Screech lands]) = 5D6 + 1 Damage
Effect: None
Spore
Accuracy: 8D6 - 3/4/5 Actions = 5/4/3D6 Dice
Effect: Known
Façade
Accuracy: 7D6 - 4/5 Actions = 3/2D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 6* (Toxiced) - Vitality (*1) = 8D6 Damage
Effect: None
After First Round:
Gust will have 5/4/3D6 Base Accuracy, while Façade should have 4/3/2D6 Base Accuracy. That is it for now!

Initiatives:
Lucifer (6)
Michael (6)
Pinsir (4)
Screech
(6)(6)(2)(5)(5) Lucifer's piercing screech rises above the noise of the stampede. Pinsir is caught in the cone of effect.
-2 Def for Pinsir
Spore
(2)(2)(3)(3)(6) Phew! Most of Michael's spores are blasted away by all the dust rising out of the canyon, but Pinsir inhales just a few...just enough to fall asleep.
Gust
(1)(2)(6)(2)
6 dice, -4 vit, +2 Screech
(1)(1)(2)(5) The unconscious Pinsir pretty much just flops over, taking 1 dmg. 8/9hp.
Facade
(5)(6)(1) Michael comes diving in, to do a much more powerful job!
(3)(5)(6)(6)(2)(6)(4) 3/9hp after taking 5 dmg.
Gust
(6)(2)(1)
(6)(3)(4)(2)
The only thing faster than Michael's leaping attacks is Michael's whirlwinds. This second one picks up Pinsir and flings it against the wall, knocking it out. Soon he's paralyzed as well.
8 Will -5 faint -1 paralysis = 2 Will, a fair tossup
Pokeball: (3)(1)
Will: (5)(5)
The Pokeball breaks. Ventus shrugs and gestures to the Pokemon, letting them trample Pinsir until the bug is obscured by dust!
Ventus spots a (3)(7) Doduo pecking at Pinsir at the same moment it spots him. It runs up to him aggressively.
Ventus and his two Pokemon each gain 2XP.

Even if these Running Pokemon came closer, on the back of Swiftfire Shiva felt not overall hopeless and overrun (not literally!) by that situation. Things were dire, and she got the feeling that this was not yet all the mountains would have in stock for the group, but in that moment she felt an appreciation for Nathan that he was willing to help her with his fierly horse. That was surely what a friend would do, now was it?
Forcing herself to not look back too much, she carefull petted Swiftfire on the neck, trying to get her attention. "Do forgive me for jumping on you so suddenly, and thanks for not unseating me right away. You'll be rewarded afterwards, but for now please use Flame Charge to increase our speed!"
Accuracy Roll Flame Charge: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 0 Brawl = 5 D6
Effect: Raises Dext by 1, which enables encountering a Tropius!!!
Damage Roll: Pointless since we're not attacking anything.
That speed Swiftfire had on if flamecharged was certainly something new and unusual for Shiva as she never rode a Pokemon at full speed, and she had to take an effort to stay seated. This was exciting though if she was very honest to herself/will review this later on. As a side effect, she dared to look behind her... Only for a moment though, catching a glimpse on her other Team Members - 'deeply sorry for fleeing from you people, but I trust that you'll get along as you already participated in the Running yourselves...' - because a huge Kangaskhan leaped directly in the way, causing Swiftfire to balk at the sudden interruption. Weren't these Pokemon relatively rare to encounter? She remembered seeing Ventus on-screen struggling with one in Ginger Town, but... WAIT A MOMENT! Not too far away, she also spotted what looked to be a large green leaf... Almost looking like a wing... Adjusting her glasses to catch a closer look at it, it turned out to be a real and alive Tropius. Well, neat... Didn't Xiani (Reshiram bless her, wherever she currently is) named these as one of the rarest Pokemon encounterable on the Running? ...She did, and yet there was it in front of her... Wondering where it came from since this species usually resides in jungles can be saved for later.
"Swiftfire, don't be scared as you went through such a situation with Nathan already, and please use your speed to charge over that Kangaskan and bring me closer to that Tropius! You know, that green dragonlike Pokemon there in front of you!" Along the way, Shiva also summoned Braixen and Litwick to her - what a neat arrangement of Fire Types here. "Braixen, Litwick, no time to explain! All you need to know is that I desire to catch that grassy dragonlike Pokemon there. Braixen, chant for me as we need that right now aim for it with an Ember while you, Litwick, shoot it with a Confure Ray please!" In the other hand, a Pokeball will be held ready for the right moment...
--------------------------------
Accuracy Roll Lucky Chant: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 1 Perform - 2 Actions = 4 D6
Effect: Known, as it prevents crits for the foe and saves me from rolled Snake Eyes, while good things may happen to GM's discretion.
Accuracy Roll Ember1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 3 actions = 5 D6
Damage Roll: 2 Strenght + 2 Power of the move + 1 Charcoal + + 1 STAB = 6 D6, +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: 1 CD to inflict Burn1. Holding back just enough to save Tropius from reaching -2 Pain just yet.
Accuracy Roll Confuse Ray: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel = 8 D6
Effect: Confuses the Foe.
Further mechanics: Inflicting -1 Pain Penalization on Tropius and reducing its will via Confusion even more, before Pokeball #1 is tossed at it. Tossing a second one if it breaks, then please pausing to adjust to the situation. I want a Tropius that doesn't dislike Shiva for catching it, and I'll make sure to get it!

Nathan's not really that interested in Doduo. At all. And he could see the occassional Absol still...(he REALLY hoped Shiva would be okay...Kory had said riding pokemon in the Running was incredibly dangerous...)
He did remember Shiva saying something about a Tropius, though...well, a Skiddo would be neat to have too, considering how expensive getting one from Mallorn is...
Gonna ignore Doduo (and most other pokemon in the Run). More interested in Skiddo, and Nathan doesn't know Shiva found a Tropius already, so those are my preferred two targets! Wonder if Nathan will manage to encounter one of them...

The ruthless scientist was actually secretly pleased that his Pokeball failed to catch the Pinsir, as watching it being stamp, crushed, and being eaten by the herd of rambunctious Pokémon was visceral enjoyment for him! Sure, it was heartless of him to inflict his hatred of one individual of the species onto another, but he quite frankly didn't care that much. A horribly cantkerous Bug type was slayed today, and that was enough for him!
Of course said creature dining on the smooshed bug, a Doduo, must have felt that Ventus was going to try and make off with its spoils, and so when it decided to run him down and skewer him and his brothers with their beaks, he deftly sidestepped them at the last possible moment and continue onwards through the crowd! Unfortunately for him, that Rhyhorn he abandon earlier in pursuit of Pinsir must have taken extreme offense at being ignored by such puny targets, so it took the opportunity to interpose itself in the researcher's path for a chance at vengence!! To this, Ven was unfazed, and reacted promptly by commanding his Pokémon to: " Michael, intercept any Rock type attack that Rhyhorn tries to send your brother's way, and use Absorb to swiftly make them anemic and infeble! Lucifer, use Iron Tail to penetrate into its rocky hide! Let us teach this dinosaur to leave well enough alone, brothers!"
Order: For a change of pace, Michael will just skip using spore this time around and siphon away Rhyhorn's life with 3 Absorbs per Round while also playing as interference between its Rock attacks and Lucifer. The afformentioned bat will use Iron Tail once per Round on the rockysaur, as that is all he can reliably do in terms of SE damage!
Moves:
Absorb
Accuracy: 8D6 - 3/4/5 Actions = 5/4/3D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 1 + STAB + QE - Vitality (3 [2 If Iron Tail's effects proc]) = 3/2D6 + 2 Damage
Effect: 1/2 Damage converted into HP, min of 1 HP per attack made with this move
Iron Tail
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (3) + Brawl (2) - 3 Accuracy = 4D6 Dice
Damage: STR (3) + 4 + SE - Vitality (3) = 4D6 + 1 Damage
Effect: Roll 3 Chance Dice to lower target's Defense by 1

Shiva is struggling to stay on Swiftfire in all the chaos, but the Lucky Chant helps.
Litwick: (5) +5 = 10
Braixen: (4) + 5 = 9
Tropius: (2) +3 Dex + 3 Survival = 8
Tropius Round 1
Confuse Ray
(2)(1)(2)(2)(4)(2)(1)(4) Tropius walks right into the spinning spell Litwick weaves, even if his aim is a little off.
Tropius is confused!
Lucky Chant
(4)(6)(4)(3)
Lucky chant is active! Echoing off the mountains, this is an awesome place to use it.
Natural Gift on Litwick
3 Dex + 3 Fight + 3 canalize -3 actions = 6 dice
(4)(2)(5)(2)(3)(6)
Natural Gift became the Ground Type!
3 Str + 3 power -3 vit = 3 dice
(4)(4)(4) Litwick takes 4 dmg! 2/6hp. Wow.
The Nanab Berry is all burnt up!
Ember 2. Presumably holding back, since you only want 2 dmg.
(6)(3)(2)(2)(2) Hit!
6 dice, -3 vit = 3d6+1
(4)(4)(4) Weird coincidence. Tropius takes 2 dmg 7/9hp.
Pokeball: (4)(6)
Will: 7, -1 pain, -1 confusion = 6 dice (1)(1)(3)(6)(4)
It says they are mellow Pokemon, but this one is essentially rampaging.
The Eye of Apsis ends this battle prematurely! Tropius was caught!!
Solar Power, 0 xp moves, Growth, Razor Leaf, Stomp, Synthesis.
1 Happiness, 1 Loyalty, 1 Disobedience from the rampage.
Nanab Berry: Dry and Delicious
Tropius produces $50/day worth of fruit, but you have to sell it that day. Plus it produces a Nanab Berry that lasts indefinitely, but is of limited use/value.
2 XP to each Pokemon and to Shiva.

Running from Doduo: 3 dex vs 2 dex
(4)(3)(5)
(5)(4)
Sudden death tiebreaker:
Nathan (5), Doduo (3) Nathan gets away, but he runs right into the sights of a (7)(7) enraged Snubbull!
