Neither was Ventus, as a matter of fact! He was just being Bold/Serious/Hard on your character to get him back into functional, non-despairing order, and was just acting (For the most part) like he would go off with Heart and get himself killed if/when that didn't work as expected. He' may hate the mystical and supernatural with a passon that rivals none other, but he isn't consumed by it to the point he would do idiotic and pointless things in the name of zealotry. He more....pragmatic than that.

Now, since Shiva expressed an interest in leaving the area earlier, and that Valder more or less follows the group around by default, the only person that needs to get in line so that Iron can progress us towards Stair/VINES! is Heart. Hopefully Nathan doesn't try to pull a Ventus on them, because that would go over about as well as the times I foolishly tried to do so...

Yes, but if Spiritmon/Heart are deadest on facing those vines headon right now instead of waiting, their if either of us try to stop him we will at that point interfering with his own initiative as a player, which isn't fun for anyone at that point and might get us in trouble with Iron like the times I did it. Unless they give you a special disposition to do so, of course, but that would just end up leaving Spirit bitter about being so thoroughly denied in this instance, even if we are only looking out for him and his character....

Ooh boy, Nathan's going to be BUSY when we reach Stair City...so much for him to do...gotta look into the vines and potential locations for the Lake Trio, gotta evolve Solomon into a Slowking, gotta train for the gym battle, gotta tell Ventus about Dagny and other important figures in Creshire, gotta do another thing...

You know, thinking about it...if we'd have gone through the checkpoint, would the Running have done so as well? I imagine the location would have been left in quite a state if it had...

Probably makes more sense for it to have happened up in the mountains, though, since that's the stampede's ultimate destination.

Lol, it's not only Nathan who will be busy. So many places in Stair to see and visit, do this and that (like Trial-Battle for i.a Tropius and Kabadra, do her own research, call both Professor Mallorn and her father to see what they might tell her about that Poochyena, hang around in a Cafe with Ven to grant him some free time not overshadowed by tragedy/drama etc.)

Please don't tell just Ventus about Dagny and other figures in Chreshire however, as Shiva will not only as well consider another Gym Battle but should also know about all this.

The boy has the suprising tendency to crack under pressure or breakdown understand exacting circumstance as these since, unlike Ventus, the boy has not really begun to handle the bevy of problems he suffered from growing up the way he did. Then again, he's just a child practically speaking, and was not forced to grow up like my character did when shit hit the fan for him, so this sort of reaction is not entirely unexpected. Still very frustrating for my chara, and he's entirely unsympathetic right now to such trauma, but they understand why he's acting like this.

Man, and I was thinking Nathan would at least fight for his friends, but he simple stay there catatonic not even trying to fight. Sorry but I can't help but feel...a little disappointed with Nathan hesitation. I was hoping he at least say something.

You know, people, somewhat I enjoy the thing that while Nathan tends to crack, Shiva herself goes into the opposite direction and developes a will/determination to do something/eager to plot what to do. Especially at this point, seeing how much she already achieved and endured in the so-far journey that she didn't even dreamed of experiencing. Chara-Development, unofficial silent leader?~ Hmm, well, she needed a reason aside from plot-reasons and an my own curiosity what loot and Pokemon await down there to enter these Ruins sooner or later, so there it is.
