Welp, that was a mighty fine 180 I managed to pull, as Ventus is more or less completely restored to his former natural chipperness! The consequence of that, of course, is that he no longer gives a fuck about Nathan unless he choices to do so, or they give him reason to. If they can't be happy as friends, then he can do without! Its quite a liberating feeling, you know!

Even then, there's SOME part of Ventus that still cares, considering Ventus didn't dump all that on Shiva for Nathan's sake...

@Dragonstrike : Subsequently, he's more than happy to conduct that trade with you right now, as Iron and Valder could allow me to just auto create the King's Rock, and it would only take a few moments for him to switch out Michael for Slowpoke, equip it with the item, and conduct the trade!

Well, we don't know what Iron needs to do as far as the King's Rock stuff goes, so we probably need to wait on that first.

I imagine Ventus is in the Center's lobby while Nathan's out looking for something to trade for those Poison types.

Anyway, didn't Ven received the message from Shiva? You said he's waiting in the Lobby and eventually Shiva will ge there as well, but still.

Sorta. He going to get along fine with the boy fine now regardless of how they treat him, but he's also not going to let them hinder him any longer if he feels they are being too 'Nathan', and will subsequently ignore them or act contrary to their will depending on the situation. So less of being the connection between them, and more being the mediator. You know, just like always!

He did receive her message, but he's just going to wait for her to finish her own bonding time and let her stumble on him naturally! That, and he still wants to conduct that King's Rock forging with Valder while he still has time, and maybe even the trade with Nathan if Dragonstrike permits!

Ventus is not the type to deliberately undermine or ruin their relationship with others, as even if you don't necessarily agree or get along with someone, it doesn't mean you have to be an vindictive arsehole about it. Its not his place to screw around with his friend lives outside their connection with his own, unless they choose for him to do so. He has a sense of decency and kindness about him, you know.

That, and key wording here: unless he chooses to do so. He can still care about the boy however much he likes....its just that he's not going to be constrained by said compassion unless they give him a suitable reason to do so.

That sounds indeed rather liberating. I hope that Nathan can adapt to the situation, since as soon as Shiva realizes she cannot bring them close to one another again, she'll be frustrated at first (not to a point wher she is threathened to fall into another epidode though), then accepting to that and moves on. Not hoing to get ruined and hindered in het own things just because of her travel companions.

Hmm, I guess I'll let you people conduct the fusion of a King's Rock and possibly conduct the trade before I'll bring Shiva towards any of them. She's exhausted from all the things plusv the egg is close to hatching, so forfeiting dhoppingvat the Department Store.

And seeing as Shiva was in all likelihood going to bunk with Ventus (Blegh.  Why does he get all the special attention from her, anyways?), and Heart and Valder were going to either outright avoid him or do who knows what...guess that means he's going to have to put up with someone chosen at random...

Oh no, its still entirely possible for Ventus and Nathan to become the best of friends, like he is with Shiva (Though I imagine not to the extent to romance)! Its just that Nathan has to work for it now, and that will most likely involve him turning down that stubborn streak and opening his mind to foreign ideas for a change. My character will invest exactly however much he wishes with being friendly/being a friend to Nate, but the boy has to start ponying up as well if he just doesn't want to be relgated to the loose aquantence zone forever more!
