[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Forgive me if I sound a little more irritable than usual in some of my posts today.  Been a rough day at work, with a lot of little annoyances making my job more difficult today on top of being a little tired.  And I still have homework to do afterwards. :/

Shouldn't be snoozing any time soon, though.  That's not going to happen until later tonight.

A note for clarification: Ventus probably missed it, but his conflict with Nathan is FAR from being one of the things weighing heaviest on the boy's mind. He's got other, less resolved conflicts to worry about. Nathan's not really thinking about anything related to Ventus at all currently.

Fine, Dragonstrike, I respect your points about Orthros - but that also clears the path for issues with Shiva. She'll still care for him, but your chara will likely be met with incomprehension about anything concerning the Delta Houndour at first. Keep it close to Nathan + don't force her to accept it (it's still a dream demon that she semi-lured onto herself!) and things should be...alright I guess.

Sure, they're rarer than most pokemon, but even some normal pokemon are just as rare (For example, Hawlucha is only found in the wild in Kalos as of right now. Or how about Comite outside of Tandor if we want to use a more relevant example?).

Delta Pokemon are not just very rare Pokemon, they are mutations in Shiva's view. Comite, Hawlucha and Fennekin from Fireweed Forest are not.

Some Deltas come from meatspace Creshire, too, according to the group's latest research (mostly Nathan's, I think.) They're not all from dreamworlds and distant steel towers. Mutations are not the horrible thing Scifi might lead you to believe - every new species is the result of a mutation. Deltas are transitional species.

Nathan will be careful with things concerning Orthros.  I've said this many, many, MANY times.

And how about Yena in that case (even if she's not a different type, a poocheyena with bug-like wings is very much just as odd)?  Or deltas that aren't mutations, usually from adapting to their environments (ex: regional variants)?  (Though Nathan still hasn't met Yena, so he can't use that particular argument IC yet)

Ventus knows that he's not the main source of the boy's recent woes, but doesn't really care or have incentive to investigate them any further unless Nathan approaches them with their problems (Which will happen when Swinubs fly, I imagine...). As far as the researcher is concerned, something is bothering the boy, but its not his problem unless they bring it upon him!

I indeed honestly pondered to give the male Poochyena away to Professor Mallorn for containment and research after Shiva sucessfully caught it, but abstained from in as I realized the young hyena could be very useful when dealing with Ghost types, so keeping it.

Alola Forms are no Deltas, neither for Shiva nor for me, so that doesn't really count as a point.

Technically Delta or not, there's similarities.  Different type, changed appearances (though only fan 'Deltas' typically do it), learnsets adapted to their new typing...what makes them so different besides the original idea in the TCG not including altered appearances (though they would commonly radiate a strange aura instead in the artwork, even the naturally occurring ones) and the official names?

There are a few similarities, yes, but there is no point in arguing here about it, so please stop trying.
