Once that has been said, Shiva said not a single word anymore and just let this one sentence echo in both the room and her mind. As well as "I was right - you did all this to protect me when I couldn't do so on my own..."

Of course she was incredibly exhausted and desired for rest. Yet she was subliminally a tad bit afraid to fall asleep at all, despite Nathan said he suffered no nightmares since he owned that dog, despite her own Pokemon assured there is nothing to fear. Guess Shiva simply has to get used to all this first, and remind herself on trusting her Espurr in this. She'll hang up her new dream catcher tomorrow, as she doesn't feel like getting up now.

...Eventually, she drifted away into sleep though.

Mechanics:
From my side, the new day can dawn them. The first thing Shiva will do once waking up is see how she feels - no nightmares, luckily! - the thought of work at the Shelter starts today will also get her going. Might be a good call to remind her on this, Ven, or shortly tell her how work for him was yesterday...

Day 32 begins.

You're awakened to the sounds of sirens blaring at 6am. These emergency klaxons are atop every important building in town. Every TV is equipped to display an emergency broadcast.

"Please remain calm. This is an emergency broadcast for the locale of Stair City and surrounding areas. Gym Leader Dagny has declared a state of emergency. This is a precautionary action only and there is no need to panic. Those who reside on the outskirts of town are asked to relocate to more central locations within the day. The Gym is also available as emergency residence. Further information follows, tune to channel 8."

Channel 8 shows fuzzy video of those cursed vines, trying and failing to climb over the ancient city boundaries. Then a Tangrowth and a Claydol are visible onscreen, surrounded by floating debris. A sudden Rock Slide covers the short city wall with lesser stone, and Claydol vanishes. Tangrowth retreats as a team of League trainers arrives. The lead trainer is floating on a Bronzong, and another has a Cryogonal, which they use to fly above the vines suddenly flowing over the city boundary. Tangrowth is quickly subdued - you can't tell if he's slain or just KO'd.

"A strike team of League trainers, in cooperation with Gym trainers, met with attacking Pokemon from the Skull Ruins early this morning. The situation is under control, with Arcanine and Typhlosion burning back the vines as they form. Trainers with strong Fire Types are asked to consider volunteering with their Pokemon to relieve shifts."

It cuts to video of this. The vines are well under control, but relentless. Machoke, Lairon, and Dugtrio are working to excavate the rubble or lay down new defenses of ancient stone.

"Again, the situation is well under control and there is no need to panic. This is a precautionary measure only."

Orthros sits bolt upright immediately when those sirens go off, as does Kirlia.  Nathan's a little slower, but he's still pretty dang quick.

Nathan answers the call from Dagny first.  Mom would have to wait for a moment.

"Dagny.  I just saw the news.  What's up?"

"Dagny.  I just saw the news.  What's up?"

"If you saw the news, you know what's up. Situation is getting worse. Time to act is now. I'd love for you to bring anyone who's tangled up in this and meet me at the Gym. What do you say?"

The instant the sirens go off, Ventus is already out of bed and fully alert/energized, his eyes widened and slightly dazed as he briefly thought if it was another drill that Ghetsis had planned, or if it was an actual emergency situation in the base....beyond he came to his senses and violently shook his head to dispel such notations. 'Blast it....I'm here with Shiva, far removed from the old Plasma base and the wretch people that run it... Kyurem curse those exercises and training that ingrained such automated responses in myself...' the former recruitor thought to himself, fully getting his bearings and calming himself down from that moment of panic....only to nearly let out a swear nastier than anything a sailor could come up with at the emergency broadcast feed.

"By the wrath of the Djin and the Tao Trio, SOMETHING must be done about those blasted Tangrowth, vines, and the tyrannical Claydols that control them all before they end up ensnaring Stair City! The Cheshire League should elevate the severity of response towards the Skull Ruins and start deploying more exacting measures if they don't want their region overgrown and chocked by those evil, EVIL vines, or start calling in favors from other Leagues if they are more equipped to handle mess! Bah!" the researcher lowly growled out to himself, clearly displeased with not only how things were escalating in regards to that treacherous place, but also the (in his eyes) gross lack of heavy measure not being taken at this point. He didn't know what this place's military was like, but Unova would already be fielding all their Fire, Poison, Ice, and Flying Shock Troops and called in the Elite Four + Champeon and unleash holy hell on the Skull Ruins if this happened in their back yard!

However, seeing as he had a distinct lack of powerful Fire/Ice/Poison/Flying types (Haneal still yet to learn Lave Plume, much to his sudden consternation, Apsis couldn't Spray Acid for long stretch of time, and Lucifer only knew Gust) and still had a job to do that day, there was nothing he could do currently. Instead, he let out a sigh and turned towards Shiva to check on how she was fairing to the unexpected wake up call. "Shiva, has the sirens and news caused any difficulties within you, or are you alright? While getting up this early and hearing such terrible omens on emergencey broadcast is quite far from what I call an ideal morning, we need to put this out of our mind for the time being and prepare ourselves for today. Our Pokémon are ill equipped to meaningfully contribute to the current defensive block that Stair has enacted to counter those Vines, and we still have work at the Shelter to accomplish this day. Let's grab breakfast after we've cleaned up, and meet up in the lobby with the rest of the group and inquire about their plans for today. I'm not in the mood to speak or even see Nathan now, but I refuse to keep myself in the dark about his activities and remain ignorant."

Order: Get ready to head down to the Lobby and meet with Heart, Nathan, and Valder (@Nylon , where are you?) with Shiva, discuss plans with them, before he heads off to the Shelter to do his second day out of six days (If I recall correctly) of work. He's a pragmatic sort with prior obligations, so the Vines are not his first priority, sadly.

Heart already awaken and ready to deal with issue about the vines. He had no idea what might will happen today but he wants to help with everything he can (teach Mach Punch and Ember to Rose since its a 14Xp and 0 Xp moves each one, and to Koa Slash with 20 XP move). He talk with his roommate Kurp to requisitive his help. "Kurp, do you by chance have any Pokemon with Fire moves to help deal with that vine issue? You no force to deal too, but a extra pair of hands would be might be apreciate."

Then Heart go to the lobby to wait with the others (and with Kurp if he want to join. Any help is welcome).

My only question is....should I be aboard? Are you safe? You should get out of Stair City ASAP, no matter what the authorities are saying! Take Swiftfire and get out while you can. They always underreport these things to make people feel safer..."
