[Dragonstrike]

Nathan's Pokemon have found a strange, strutting bird Pokemon. Almost its entire body is a beryl green, except for its magnificent crest, which is the same shocking magenta as some of the long-fringed wildflowers on the plain. Golden scales fall from its feathers in a glittering rain whenever it preens or struts. When it senses Nathan coming, it startles and wiggles sideways until it merges with a patch of magenta flowers. It holds still, and becomes almost invisible.

'An Unfezant? And it's sparkling...'

Of course, Nathan knows what those sparkles typically mean.  Max shines with a similar light on very rare occassions.

The bees are behind Nathan now.  The last time they encountered a Flying type, it didn't end so well...

Nathan dismounts Swiftfire and slowly moves a little closer...he sets down some dry food and an Oran Berry and backs off a little...

Maybe this shiny Unfezant would appreciate a snack?

If Nathan was felt at ease leaving Ventus' company for the time being while exploring the area, the very same principle holds true for him as well, though not nearly to the same extent given his own emotional fortitude. The young dancer deliberate efforts to avoid him and his Metagross mount ellicted a sigh from him and a slight frown tugging at the corners of his lips, though. 'Nathan and Shiva both want me to forge a strong, friendly camaradence with Kirlia, but how am I supposed to do that in the first place when they are clearly view such a thing as an uneasy, dubious prospect? So long as I'm at odds with his master and my views towards them are decidedly negative, their will be no progess to be made with any sort of friendship endevour, and I'm not just going to let go my rightful grievences with Nathan for their shake alone,' the sociologist thought to himself, before clearing his head and releasing Lucifer into the open air to scout for any particularly interesting Items or threatening lurking outside the group's area of visibility. It always pays to be prepared and vigilent in all manners of things, after all, and he wasn't going to let his row with the boy drag him down enough to forget that fact!

Order: Ventus is going to use Lucifer to search for that Held Item, and also keep an eye out for anything unusual/dangerous looking out in the field as well. Time to see what nature's bounty hold for his treasure hunting bat!

Ventus' mount takes a step forward, then gently steps back without ever putting weight down on that foot. Ventus drops down and finds a strange musical instrument. It's a delicate little sphere made from woven reeds, almost airtight, but obviously primitive. A coating of shellac covers the ball. A few pieces are loose inside, producing a wide variety of pleasant notes and textures of sound when rattled. You could rattle this for an hour and never hear the same noise twice.

A lumpy piece of paper, like a card, is attached by a fine cord.

Unfezant is busy pretending to be a flower. After a time of waiting, Zippy starts to hesitantly fly toward Unfezant's head to collect his pollen. A blast of pheromones from Princess makes him retreat with a little bit of shame and confusion on his face.

"Rose! Return!" Heart was deadly worry about Rose condition. She almost faint or got slash in two against that Scyther. Even with the typing advantage...that bug is strong. Too much strong. "But thats not mean I will give up! Koa!" The green dragon shout a roar more then ready to avenge Rose. "Show that Scyther your strengh as a dragon! If Scyther attack first focus in dodge his attack! But be careful, his attacks was strong enough to cause pain even in rose so watch out! When you got the chance show him your new move with a potent Slash two times ! But hold the Lethal damage, since we need him alive. And if he faint because of one Slash, hold it! Then I will use the Pokeball!"

Action: Koa to evade the next attack if Scyther go first then use Slash two times! Lets see if that Scyther like to feel his own poison against him!

Ventus gave his mount an appreciative pat for their keen observation skills, before they begun their investigation of the odd yet delightfully chaotic instrument, a curious smile forming as he shook it and listened to the broad range of unique sounds it produced and examined the tag attached to it. "Hmm.....this clearly is an musical device produced by the native swamp folk that live around here, given its overall all rustic design and make, but I'm at a loss its true function is. That, and it seems this was produced as an Item to be sold or part of an exhibit, judging from the card attached to it, though I can't make either state in confidance given how degraded it is. It is fascinating and fun to listen to regardless, though!" the researcher said to himself, jingling the Spherical Rattle a couple more times for good measure, before hopping back onto his Metagross and awaiting for Lucifer's return.

Thinking of the devil, the little drake swiftly returned to his master's side, swooping down from the air to perch on his shoulders and letting out a tiny unconcerned croon that conveyed nothing was amiss in the Plain to them. It was then that they noticed the strange ball that they were holding, tilting their head at the new Item they found with his own characteristic brand of curiousness, before they faced their master and let out an inquisitive screech? Ven couldn't help but chuckle at such a display, and with one hand held it out the instrument for them to pick up and do their own examination of it, saying to them : "Ah, I see you are quick to notice my latest aquistition, Lucifer! I don't know what it quite is besides a musical instrument of some sort, but its finely made and produces the most wonderful noises, so would you like to play with it for awhile?"

Order: Head back to the central area where the group meets, and give the Rustic Rattle [Name Pending for Evalution] to Lucifer to see what exactly happens/how they react to it. Hopefully they like, but if not its something that Ventus can hang onto and get appraised later for its true uses!

Nathan then sets his Pecha Juice down in front of him.  He backs off again, but he's a little closer this time, a Flash Ball in his hand if Unfezant agrees.
