This provides a perfect opportunity for the Flash Ball! Shiny magenta Unfezant standing amid a field of magenta flowers and holding one in his beak!

Unfezant was caught!

Unfezant has his hidden ability Rivalry. He also has a rare move: Mimic! He knows all his moves that cost 18 XP or less.
Happiness 2, Loyalty 2, Disobedience 0.

Wow.  Wow wow wow wow wow.

He's not just Shiny.  He's also got his Hidden Ability and a move Unfezant can't learn normally...

WOW!

What are the odds?!

Something this special...he can't just call him Unfezant.  Nope.

Masq.  That oughta be a fitting nickname.  His head plumage certainly stands out enough to warrant the nickname.

Except now Nathan has a problem...he's got 7 pokemon on his person...hmmm...

Well, he could worry about that in a moment.

For now, he'd have to get everyone introduced to the new team member.

Swiftfire and the bees come back out again, along with Masq.

"Well, that seems to have gone well.  Princess, Zippy, Swiftfire, looks like Masq the Unfezant here is coming with us.  I've got some other pokemon and traveling companions you'll get to meet soon enough, Masq.  For now, though, how about we spend a little time gathering some of these flowers?  I've got a basket we can keep them in.  Princess, Zippy, you can gather some honey in the meantime as well."

Swiftfire impatiently paws at the ground.  Weren't they supposed to stay on the move right now?

"Yes, I know we're technically in a hurry, Swiftfire.  We're rather far ahead of everyone else, though.  Let's take a little time to relax and wait for them to catch up.  Plenty of space for you to run around if you want."

Relaxation time for Nathan and company in this flower field (with a little bit of Honey Gathering as well)!  He can worry about choosing a pokemon to send to the PC later.  No League officials out here to tell him off for having 7 pokemon on his person, after all!  Everyone can come catch up to him when they're ready.

All his Pokeballs are beeping and flashing, so he can't wait for very long before the system will autoselect the newest Pokemon and automatically send it to the PC. He's got an hour or so.

Viktor was quite happy to know Kirlia as acept the gift and spin around. Wow. That little Phantump seems have a little of Heart personality with him! Its what they say: When Pokemon parthneers stay much time with their masters, their sometimes inerit some actions of his masters. Viktor give one last shy smile to Kirlia and return to his master. Who was with another tree waiting for the others. Viktor give a subtile invite to Kirlia. Heart was looking for herbs and a few other things to prepare a soup. Everyone might need energy after that encounters.

Action: Prepare some meal to everyone returns! Since Heart is the cooker of the group.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

Drilbur Round 2

Nice. Actually, not nice at all, since the peaceful trip to pick up some wildflowers feels like having turned into a sandy battle against moles. One of them knew Metal Claw... *cold shivers*

Eh, anyway... While her psychic kitten has done an amazing job at teaching that one Drillbur a lesson, its companion hit right back. No way Shiva would allow that, but it took her a little to even apply to the suddenly changed situation. When she did so, she innerly smiled coyly-mischievously as she actually had enough super-effective STAB moves on hand, had she?

For now though, avoid further threat, so she made a hand-gesture to Kyuu to show him it's enough. "Back to me, please. You did amazing there, that was indeed a new move, was it? How sweet... " Of course Kyuu received a cuddle for this, even if they where in the middle of a battle! "Now though, rest assured in your Pokeball... You deserve it, do you? I'll make the moles pay in your name, dear one." Packing that one Pokeball away for now, the one a familiar blue mouse is contained in is drawn instead, and its content appeared on the battlefield in a graceful movement. Before Azurill could even grew concerned about things, Shiva caught her attention instead: "Pay no mind to the sandstorm there, please. I hate it too, but give the best in yourself an your moves nevertheless, you know that I rely on you! Concentrate on the faster mole and pester it with Bubble Beams - Same goes for you Cottonee, just keep draining its life away for now."

Orders: Defeating = fainting Drillbur B has prority. Three BubbleBeams from Azu and two MegaDrains from Cottonee are the choice until either one of my Pokemon suffers dangerously low hp (I'd like to prevent them fainting here) or something else occurs that might need Shiva's inception. She will not catch any of the Drillbur, as they belong to the Plain's ecosystem - fainting them should be okay, though, as it does not 'kill' them, and the fluffball is far away from learning Hurricane yet.

Accuracy Roll Bubble Beam 1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 3 Actions = 5d6
Accuracy Roll Bubble Beam 2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 4 Actions = 4d6
Accuracy Roll Bubble Beam 3: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel - 5 Actions = 3d6

Damage Roll: Still 2 Strength + 3 power of the move, no STAB yet = 5d6
Additional notes: 1 CD to lower Dext by 1. Oh, and one autodamage due to SE to cover up the yet lacking STAB. Metal Claw does SE damage on an Azurill, only on a Marill it'd do neutral damage.

Accuracy Roll Mega Drain1: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel -2 Actions - 1 Pain = 5d6
Accuracy Roll Mega Drain2: 3 Dext + 2 Fight + 3 Channel -3 Actions - 1 Pain = 4d6
Damage Roll: 2 Strength + 2 Power of the move + 1 STAB = 5d6 +1 autodamage due to SE
Additional notes: Restores half the damage dealt, rounded down - minimum 1hp.

Drilbur B starts to run away. Azurill has plenty of time to take him down - will you let him flee?

Continued:

Drilbur B faints

There's no target for Mega Drain again.

Dig 2 on Azurill
(6)(1)(6)
(6)(3)(4)(6) Azurill takes 3 dmg 3/6hp -2 pain

(...Nope, I will not.)

"Azurill, please show me another Bubble Beam. We will not let him go - they belong to these plains and I'd rather leave them here to rest after this battle, but show them you mean business."

Nathan gives it a half hour or so before he thinks about it again.

Frankly, he REALLY wants to keep Masq on hand right now.  But the only pokemon he can actually send to the PC currently...

*sigh*

Well, he'd have to make it up to Orthros later.

And to the PC Orthros goes for the first time.  Should be fine since Calam, Starmie, and company are all chilling there as well.

And then Nathan goes back to flower gathering with Masq and just relaxing while waiting for everyone else to catch up.

Drilbur Round 3

Well, that 'show them you mean business' partly worked, as one of the moles was down! Victory tasted as sweet as the finest crystals of sugar. Encouraged by that (and ignoring the remaining Drillbur hissing at her aggressively), Shiva did the unexpected - She turned away from the battle, and called out for the Metragross she ordered to stay close before. As soon as it arrived, she gave it only a few words to keep it simple, quick and clear for this particular Pokemon, well aware of the fact that Steel Types are rather analytical and overly exaggerated or emotional orders would have issues to reach through them. More issues one some (like present Metagross), lesser issues on others (like Mawile). "Metagross, you go and find Ventus as quick as possible, please. The one who was moulted on you with me before. Lead him here, to me, where the sun is shining brighter." To ensure Ven following or even catching his attention she also attached a light pink wildflower at the center of the 'X' the Metagross's head featured. If this doesn't catch him, Shiva doesn't know what would, on the other hand she prayed to Reshiram and Zekrom that it may not distress or put him on edge too much...

Once that has been done and Metagross departed, Shiva turned back to her ongoing encounter with the Unovian mole. True, one mole was down - but the price was both her Fairies panting. The last battle with a wild Pokemon was quite a while ago it felt, as well it was harder than she might have expected at first, naturally that this was tirering for both Master and Pokemon.

Probably in a way too meaningful gesture, she recalled both Cottonee and Azurill. They did their part, and she rather not let them go down. In return, Nightshade made her appearance to the field of wildflowers, displaying the same graceful backflip before landing gracefully between the grass. Instinctively, she was amazed by the nature she seemingly was surrounded by - before noticing that the foe was not a bird this time, but a...more 'grounded' one? "Fine, you asked for it, Drillbur. ...Nightshade, end the tirade of sand by brightening up the sun instead, please. Let the field be soaked in sunlight - then show your foe how magically a Grass Type move can be."

Orders for this round: Enough Sandstorm, calling for Sunny Weather is it instead followed by one Magical Leaf this Round. The next Rounds will cast three Magical Leaves, repeating unless the aggressive Drilbur is down (fainted) or something else calls for  inception. The mole wanted a fight, now it can have it! Windos, I'll allow Ven to catch ONE of the Drillbur when he asks. Both are capable to trigger the sandstorm, so it's unimportant which one - though Shiva will prefer you aiming for the lesser agressive one (she remembers which one it is, and will tell/show you)

Accuracy Roll Sunny Day: 3 Dext + 2 Survival + 2 Nature -2 Actions = 5 d6
Effect: Creates Sunny Weather for 4 Rounds!
Secondary Effect: Bathes the wildflower field in beautiful rays of sunshine~ Also triggers Nightshade's Chlorophyll Ability.

Accuracy Roll Magical Leaf: 5* Dext + 2 Survival + 2 Nature -3 Actions = 6 d6
Damage Roll: 2 Strength + 2 Power of the move + 1 STAB = 5 d6 + 1 autodamage due to SE.
Additional notes: With the power of nature, this move even hits shall the Accuracy Roll fail due to bad dice throw.

Ventus is using your Metagross right now, so perhaps you're sending some other Pokemon instead? Or going in person yourself?
It'll be an hour or two before Ventus can get here anyway.
