(12-03-2017, 05:53 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: Kirlia gives Ventus a grateful look.  He's surprisingly strong for a Kirlia, but literally supporting someone is still a stretch for him.

...and then Kirlia looks at the pokedex...what did Nathan read on there that was so stressful?  He kinda wished he could read like Solomon could right now...

...he looks back at Nathan...still pale...this wasn't going to get any better, was it?

...he looks back at Ventus...nods.

Kirlia doesn't like it much, but he can't fix this problem himself...

At Kirlia's permission, Ventus managed to crack a small smile, before glancing once more at the half out of it and most definitely unbalanced boy, and decided that a small breach of privacy was in order so as to not overly stress them to the point of physical illness. Using one hand, he retrieved the boy's Pokedex and took a gander at what caused such a severe emotional reaction from them.....and his gripped significantly tightened on the poor device when he read Marta' Email in full.

"......Fuck," the researcher swore under his breath, his face now the definition of irritation born from worry over someone else and receiving the worst news imaginable, before he let out a heavy sigh and showed the message to Kirlia as well, then stowing away the device into Nathan's belongs and fully picked up the young trainer in his arms. "Kirlia, would you mind going over to the table and retrieving Nathan's journal, while I request shock treatment aid from the Nurse? I believe Nathan is in need of it and some bed rest, before he's ready to talk about this," he said to the boy's best friend gently, and then turning around to approach the Nurse and asking for assistance on this. Joking aside, he was NOT a medical doctor by profession, so the now traumatized boy would be better off in the hands of someone that new what they were doing.

Still, this couldn't help but get him to review what medical knowledge he was taught from his mother, and what he picked up from the university (Leveling up Medicine for 6XP right now, since its only natural this event would provoke such a sudden increase in medical competency).

Order: Make damn sure that Nathan gets treatment for this panic attack, gather up his various things with Kirlia and keeping them safe until the boy gets them back, before waiting the night with them/outside their room/nurse room to make sure they are alright. He'll also retrieve Carnivine when it finally comes out of the PC when the time comes. He can sleep upright in a chair and is a fairly light sleeper if something on his mind, so he can rest the night while keeping vigil with Kirlia if allowed. Essentially, I believe both Ven's and Nathan's night are over at this point, unless Dragon wants him to make a miraculous recovery...

Kirlia shrugs when Ventus shows him the email, slightly irritated.  He can't read, so just showing him the words doesn't do much good.

He's a little pale now as well, though, since Ventus thinks this is THAT bad...he's got no problem with following Ventus's suggestion.

He was going to be up for a good portion of the night worrying about Nathan...and he wasn't going to turn down any assistance, either.  (ie this is going to be a decent chance for Ventus to interact with Kirlia. Same with anyone else who wants to join in on this, for that matter.)

*more noming of not-burned Marsh Mallow plants* They tasted so sweet that it hurts, but they tasted incredibly delicious. Doesn't matter where the others went to, as she had her quality time right here. Eh, let's hope Ven doesn't end up worried where she was... "Sacred, you say... This sounds like the summoning of the Southern Wind Incarnate demands well-placed preperation and shouldn't be done half-hearted. Hmm... Well, I'll certainly need the help of the Mamo living in Preserve then. I have the song, they have the flutes the song is written for... And yes, I can feel that this here is pretty incl- wait a moment, Azu! WHERE DID YOU WANDER OFF... oh. Oh there you are... and you're...dear one..."

True, that energy could only mean one particular thing as she remembers this from Fennekin... It had such a pretty blue color, and she could only sit there and watch in awe. Another evolution, and it was due to her... My, things certainly developed into a positive direction if remembering how Azu hid away in her sleeve as she's been given this Pokemon to care for after the others have rescued this blue mouse from the river.

As soon as the evoluuuuution ended and the other Pokemon where already celebrating with her - now she knew her blue fairy-mouse WAS magic - Shiva couldn't help but to approach on her own, pick up her new Marill and give her a hug that practically dripped with appreciation and was just as warm as the bonfire was bright, followed by sweeeet draining kiss well-placed on her Pokemon's cheek. "Hehehehe... You did is... No, WE did it! You're grown so much confidence, it's almost hard to believe that I helped you on developing this. But, LOOK AT YOURSELF! Your Water Gun and Bubble Beam will be way stronger now, I'll find you a battle tomorrow so you can see on your own... Hehe...oh well... You look incredibly pretty with your flowercrown of roses in your new appearance." Indeed she did, and Shiva spend a few moments just smiling down at the Pokemon in her arms while adjusting it.

...Guess this was also the trigger she secretly needed, as given the looks of it, she'll dance the hours away starting NOW! Her natural grace, the treat this Eternal Bonfire was anyway and the fact that Azu evolved vie becoming happy certainly made this into quite a show; Marill, Braixen and if he dared and agreed to it even Tandal himself where her partners. When Marill was not having fun with her Master, she continued escaping from willow cages and summoning roses to entertain the other Pokemon, as a final act she even turned herself into a vivid fountain by sporting a very thin yet potent stream of water several inches high, completely moistening the area! (Learning Water Sport for 5XP here) The bonfire kept happily burning nevertheless.

(Took a little, but I found a theme for this whole scene... A blue fae-mouse's happiness and Eternal Bonfire's joy)

Once the Nurse on hand presumably summons some assistance and/or takes Nathan to the ICU for shock treatment, Ventus let out a tired, worried sigh at how things just continue to escalate in regard to both the Vines Crisis plaguing Stair City and the ever compounding problems that put an increasing strain on the boy's frail psyche. Then, with permission from the staff, he took two chair from the lobby and motioned for Kirlia to follow him, all the way to the room that the Nurse indicated was the boy was being treated, and sat the chairs down outside the doorway. The researcher took the seat farther away from the doorway (They were sidebyside), and patted the one beside him for the young psychic to sit.

".....Ah, I just remember that not all Pokémon are capable of reading human text, so that was why you were frustrated with my actions. *Sigh* I'll recount what was sent from Marta, but I ask you remain calm Kirlia. Nathan being made invalid because of this is already horrible, but I don't want you to Faint from anxiety as well," he said, before he quietly told the boy's best friend what was in the text in perfect and almost painful detail. Ventus then let out a sigh and placed a hand across one of his eyes as he bowed his head in distress/frustration. "Things are only growing worse, and the pressure is mounting for all of us to find a solution to eradicate those Vines, before Stair City is lost underneath their creeping grasp. I'm worried that Nathan won't be able to handle it all, that he'll break down or go into apathy as a defense mechanism, and that he'll just....silently suffer it all until those points. I may have reason to hold him in contempt for his past transgression, but I don't enjoy the fact that he's slowly unraveling from all the problem landing on his plate. *Sighs*.....I wish I could teach him my emotional control, at times like this..."

"There are many Mamo Elders in the Storytelling Center who may be able to help you somewhat."

Kirlia nods along. He is always willing to suffer Ventus when the latter is being helpful to Nathan, and he already had an inkling of what was going on in Stair from his vision.

The Nurse brings Nathan a cold drink of pure water and an ottoman to lift his feet up a bit.

Whether it's a blessing or a curse, Nathan is still aware of what's going on for the most part, but he's very much in a bit of a daze.  He doesn't argue with any of the suggestions given, and rest is definitely something he needs right now.

2 days...at best...Stair might be gone in a week...

It's something he reviews in his mind over and over and over again until he finally dozes off from exhaustion...

"Glad that we can agree when it comes to Nathan's wellbeing at the very least, Kirlia. *Sighs* Though I wish we had more common ground between us, I suppose this is how thing will remain for now.  You view all matters through the lens of Nathan's own feelings and beliefs, while I am the sole governer of my will despite the ties and influence I share with my family."

The empath briefly falls silent as he says this, contemplating what he's going to say next to the young psychic, before he shakes his head an outright says what is concerning him. "Kirlia, do you have any idea how to keep Nathan grounded through these rocky times? Neither of us want the continued threat of a nervous breakdown weighing heavily in our minds, so any solution would be helpful...."

Heart decided to take a stop in the Pokemon Center first to heal his team. He too take a few changes just to make sure it will work well. Heart change Mudkip for Tynamo, to finally begin the training to evolve, and for Caesar. Its time to put the two to work a bit. Heart then release Tynamo who planing in the air. If he recall, Tynamo evolves to his next form when learning how to produce eletricty for themselves, but Heart doesnt know how to do that. He decided to ask Ventus some tips and help.

"Hey Ventus. I would like a little help. I capture a Tynamo, and they only evolve when they learn how produce energy for themselves. How I can do that to make him learn?"

Kirlia shrugs at the statement, casts a worried glance at the door.  He could easily feel Nathan's worry, panic, insecurity...it was oozing into his emotions as well, though the reasons are different by far.  He very much wished he could actually help Nathan right now...

At the next question, Kirlia has to stop and think for a moment...how does he explain it?  Hmmm...well, maybe if he does that...

Kirlia points at himself.  Holds an arm straight up, lays the other across the top of it, making a T shape.  Leans the top a bit, as if it's tipping over.  Looks a bit sad, feels rather burdened.

Then he points at Ventus.  And Valder.  He would have pointed at Shiva too, but she's not there right now.  Holds both arms straight up, his hands forming the line across the top this time.   No wobbling.  Still feels burdened and sad, but...less so.

And then Kirlia slumps a little in the chair...whew...that was harder than expected, with Nathan's emotions bleeding into his own so easily right now...

(I will presume this scene happens when Ventus hands out the 700 Poke to you, and before Nathan has a fainting spell?)

*Flashback?*

The Pokémon researcher give them a look of mild surprise at the news of the collector capturing a native Unova species, until a wide smile breaks out across and he clapped his hand together in delight at their accomplishment. "Oh, you capture a Tynamo here in the swamp? Wonderful news my friend, especially since I don't recall the species being native to these parts of the world! Then again, the same could be said for my dear Lilith (Who he had recalled after all the unwanted attention she was attracting), so I guess this just another surprise that Cheshire had in store for us!" Ventus said, before he puts a hand on his chin and ponders what he recalls on the Tynamo line and other Electric types that had the same evolutionary requirement.

"Hmm.....as for evolving it, I've heard trainers and researchers using Magnets and electricity generated from other sources to stimulate the produce of electricity in these Pokémon, so that option could work. I've also heard rumor of a specialized procedure where they hook up a Pokémon to a custom circuit and force a current throught it until it began to produce its own energy, with specific circuit breakers in place that block man made electricity but not Pokémon generated source to prevent it from just channeling the energy it receives, but I doubt we have the resource or time on our hands to set something similar up."

"What else, what else....oh, I've heard that teaching the Pokémon a powerful Electric TM move also greatly helps in evolving them, but that option is a rather pricey one unless you are willing to barter away some of your Rare Pokémon to obtain one. Being surrounded by technology greatly increase the evolution time, but given that we are in the middle of a mostly pre industrial village, that won't help you either. Finally, their is also repeatidly practicing with its innate Electrical moves in and out of battle until they finally acquire the ability, a fairly time intensive task but one that is gariteed to eventually produce result. Ah yes, and before I forget Nathan has his own Joltick that he's trying to evolve, so he might have brainstormed some methods I have forgotten! *Takes a deep breath, before giving Heart another smile* That's all I am able to recall right now, I'm afraid, but I do hope that what little advice I have to offer is of use to you!"

*End Flashback?*
