Can't wait until Nathan uses it on someone/something! That'll be an unpleasant experience, but hopefully it will be fully warrented!
Also, I stated this in the thread, but I'll restate it here: Ventus has no clue why Braixen hates him, since he does not see the connection between destroying their former den (Which he views as a great act, besides hostile mind invaders ruining his triumph) and their sudden inexplicit hostility. He just thinks they decided to hate them one day without any reason, besides him being fearful/holding rather negative views towards magic.

That's the idea.
Of course, Nathan could always use it non-lethally, but at that point, might as well just be using a Flamethrower TM or Fire Blast. The big draw of Inferno is that guaranteed Burn 3 should you land the move (or having a damaging, highly inaccurate Will-O-Wisp if you tone it down to being non-lethal, but eh).
