[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins

Once we left the Gym, she'll head to the Department Store too - selling that Nugget, buying stuff, and finally trade away Beartic. We can go there/windos-shop together and split up after that, to make things easier?

That would be quite lovely, thank you dear! With all these Eggs coming into our group, it makes me wish their was a Method for non-Breeders to get a couple of slots for just carrying their Eggs, but alas, I doubt that ever will be the case....

Your plan is most pleasing, so I am in complete agreement with it!

Porygon-Z through glitches, Rotom through hijacking and sabotaging them, and the Beldum line with EMP blasts when they're angered (according to Beldum's dex entry in Ultra Moon)! Fun, right?

I think we've brought up somewhere that Beldum like Magnets according to the Ultra Sun dex entry, so I guess that would mean they like Magnemite and company as well? (Metang apparently chase Nosepass around for similar reasons...though I imagine getting chased by an intelligent hunk of metal that's flying at 60 mph isn't exactly the most fun thought in the world...)

I actually like the thought of our genderless hunks of metal bonding over their mutual love for Magnetism, so I look forward to those scenes! Not so much Rotom or Porygon Z trying to glitch things up for Mag Mag, though....
Like the wind, I come and go as I please... but I am always there to provide a comforting breeze.

Well, it will took time to find another Beldum to merge them together since he evolve trough union to merge they brains or wait another brain to came. It is dificult to find another Beldum?

I kinda do, too.  Though they'll probably end up stuck together in more than a figurative sense, considering the Beldum line has magnetism running through its veins instead of blood...ah, good ol' pokemon biology making zero sense...

Fair point, though there's a particular reason I'm having Nathan gathering all these pokemon that can break machinery in a variety of ways...

There's only two places they appear in the wild: Route 228 in Sinnoh (and ONLY when there's a swarm), and Mount Hokulani in Alola.  Maybe there's somewhere in Creshire they can be found, but Beldum aren't a species you just find in the wild.  Kinda like Castform, you actually have to be looking for one really hard if you want to find it.

That's fair too, of course.

There's no real reason for me, I just enjoy the imagination of Shiva pretending to have psychic powers with Helios (and using Magical Leaf with Nightshade) just to mess with people and blow minds, only to later laugh at this. This feels in-chara.

Or you could wait for it to evolve naturally instead of forcing it.

Interestingly, though, according to Mega Metagross's dex entry in Sun, it's made of one Metagross, one Metang, and two Beldum joining forces.

Also interestingly, a Metang apparently has the same intelligence as a Beldum. It isn't until it becomes a Metagross that the species actually gets 'smarter'.

Using only Takedown? He will might faint in every battle we do. Remember he have four weakness: Fire, Ground, Ghost and Dark. If I could get any Move Tutor to teach Iron and ZenHeadbutt it would help.

You picked out an egg, though, so you might not have to worry about that.  Nathan's the only one who got an actual newborn from Dagny.

Take Down also isn't the only move in an untutored Beldum's arsenal.  It just happens to be its most powerful one.  There's also Strikes and Knockdowns for dealing damage if you REALLY don't like recoil.

As far as teaching Iron Head and Zen Headbutt goes...well, Metang and Metagross learn Zen Headbutt by level, so that's probably going to take that off the table for the most part.  As for Iron Head...well, you have an Aron with the move, no?  Should be plenty of material for getting help from another member of the group with teaching the move if you don't want to spend points on Move Tutoring yourself.  Probably would be Ventus, since he doesn't actually have any problems with Steel types.

Of course, Beldum have one of the looooonnnngggest hatch times in the games, so it's probably going to be awhile before you have to worry about raising a Beldum.
