Yes, he did.  And that had been building since Arrowroot.  Before that, even, but Arrowroot was where it started becoming a problem for him.  There were warning signs.  And Heart only compounded the problem instead of solving it.

Context is important here, Spirit.  That battle was just the last straw before Nathan cracked.  He KNEW an Extreme Speed from Raphael would likely end that battle, that he couldn't really contribute to it any more at all, and that he probably wouldn't get attacked if he didn't fight back.

His contributions to that journey to the cave were minimal in his view, consisting of Lucky Chant and putting together the puzzle pieces everyone else had dug up.  Nothing super meaningful for someone who usually is directly involved in the action himself.

Ventus would be of the opinion that Nathan more than pulled his weight, with his help in fending off the various Pokémon along the way to The Tusk , his knowledge/reasoning ability to finding it in the first place, helping with the Southern Wind ritual, AND negotiating with the Eremit to resolving the crisis in Stair being the main examples he would bring up in that argument. He's still somewhat irritable that Nathan shut down in the middle of the fight, but he's willing to forgive and 'forget' since the main purpose of their quest still was accomplished, and nothing ended up amiss for their inaction. My character's not totally without sympathy to their plight, after all......he's just mostly so at this point, unless the boy's cup runnith over with problems, so to speak.

Yeah thats right...@Iron since the ability to remove Curses like Forest Curse and Earthpower blessing is in Level 5, in witch level I can "give" a pokemon the Ground-type like the old man? Is in the level 5 too since the ability to remove Curses is the same to give something like that, or in highter levels?

No, that would be a truly superhuman ability. It cannot be purchased with any amount of XP. Anytime the rulebook says something like "Cannot be removed without a medium's help" or mentions the need for some kind of supernatural help, that is what the Earthpower specialty is explicitly good for. As you've guessed, there is the potential for other uses down the line. It's not mandatory though.

Another thing you could consider is the Lore specialty, which would give you knowledge of Earthpower but not the ability to use it directly.

I think we should stop for now with the discussion to not flood too much the meta thread and give problems to Iron. So yes Dragonstrike, both Heart and Ventus still mad with Nathan (for various reasons). Even if he DID not do anything now, his past mistakes dont help the situation and fragile peace. Heart moto is: "Always forgive when possible but forget never". Yep. Nathan have much work to do. Both with the ritual to bring Mesprit AND to deal with his party members. Deal with pokemon is one thing, but deal with people is something he needs to learn. Social skills Nathan Warren. Social skills.

That should be kept in character and definitely never out of character. Nathan is working on a Hero's Journey of his own, where his character will change and grow over the course of these interesting campaign events.

I'm finding it somewhat interesting how different this journey for Dragon's and my chara actually is. Yes, circumstances and background are totally different, we know this already, but so far it seems to me that Shiva is developing/growing in a good direction even though she has developed these depressive traits and considered ending things when she was at her lowest, she has already changed in some way during Chapter I. There's so much more room, I'm looking forward to what is still in store. Nathan on the other side had to i.a. face all these conflicts and the responsibility he has with Kirlia and Mesprit which are weighing down on him, but it can only get better if things are at rock bottom.

Meanwhile, Ventus has more or less has transformed from an all loving and caring sociologist into a paranoid, magical/arcane hating 'ex' criminal sociologist, with a penant for murdalating wild Pokémon to feed his/if they hurt his own Lethally. Still, generally personality has remained consistent from beginning to now, just with his less savory traits coloring it as time goes by and he doesn't keep a tight enough lid on his 'dark side' . Not sure if lack of/slooooow character growth with Ventus is a good thing or not, all things considered.

Yeah, those things canonically have always existed within Ventus, but as time goes by we see an ever greater list of them.
