Offer him a suitable recompense for such an odd Pokemon. Perhaps I could arrange it to come as a partial share in the patent I am thinking of developing. Then the fine Director would have a steady supply of money in exchange for his charge. Who knows, we may even strike it rich together, haha! Thanks, boss, I'll give him a call tomorrow."

"*Sighs with a somewhat knowing look on his face* .....Very well then, Dr. . I was going to suggest they inform you of any Rare Pokémon you would be interested in and reserve it for you for purchase, but if that is too costly of a business venture I understand. Shame, as I saw for myself they had Dratini , Shinx, and Skarmory Eggs on offer the last time I chekced, in addition to the Kingdra and Rotom me and Nathan I own, but if you can't afford it......"

"(....) Yes, his name is Director North, and he would be more than thrilled at such a proposal! I'll leave him a message informing him to expect a call from you latter, if that is alright with you."

Oh... That means she'll just look things up in books then where this elusive region lies. Maybe. Later. Just out of curiosity. He's continuing to call her 'dear', how cute!

Shiva's mood somewhat darkened, which was visible in her gesture and expression. How can a Pokemon have a closed heart, what causes this? And why? That poor thing... Having no or an icycold heart was equal to being dead in her view. However, before her mood could become any more foul, the words 'artifact' and 'unlock its heart' almost magically cheered her up. "That DOES sound rewarding! And incredibly noble and sweet. I haven't heard about these rumors so far, though... But, well, if you'd tell me more, I'd be more than happy to keep my mind, ears and eyes open for even the smallest hints on such an artifact for you, I'm staying and wandering within this city for a while longer anyway! Maybe my Cottonee can help me on an actual search, but someone I know has a Noibat that already dug up several tresures. He's not working here today, though."

Old Lady Marla Round 1

Leech Seed 1
(4)(5)(3)(4)(1) Igglybuff A was seeded!

"Now, Igglybuffen, your pal Phantump is a Ghost-Pokemon. Your Pound attack will not hurt him. You have to concentrate hard and perform a Strike attack. His Leech Seed won't work until you've taken your turns, so normally it is used toward the end of a fight, but you little ones know that an earlier attack allows more concetration."

Strike 1
2 Dex + 1 Fight + 2 brawl = 5d6
(5)(4)(1)(6)(4) "A very good Strike for a first try, Iggles!"
2 Str + 1 power -3 vit = 1d6 min
(4) Phantump takes 1 dmg

"Buffles, your turn!"

Strike 1
(5)(6)(6)(3)(2) "Quite good!"
(4) Phantump takes 1 dmg 4/6hp -1 pain

Knockdown 2
(6)(2)(1)(4)
3 Str + 0 Power -1 vit = 2d6
(4)(1) Buffles takes 1 dmg and -1 accuracy 3/4hp

Knockdown 3 (a Strike would be better, for future reference, since two Knockdowns do not stack. This way has very little chance to faint them, though).
(2)(4)(3)
(5)(6) Buffles takes 2 dmg. He's out of the battle. "And that's what battling is like! I'll uh I'll teach you about fainting later."

Leech seed: (4) Phantump gains 1 health. 5/6hp
Iggles has 3/4hp now.

"Oh yes, please let me know if you find anything. My card." He hands you a business card.

"The stone I seek is a dark black, shaped like a pillar. They can be dozens of meters tall, and they often have strange designs carved on them. They're very old, so there are plenty of promising places to look around here!"

Director North also tells you where to find the Herdier.

"Nothing else important, Dr. . I wish you a good night as well!" *Click!*

Stared at his phone for a couple of seconds, before sighing and ruefully shaking his head.

"Honestly, I forgot how frugle and penny pincher Dr. Mallorn is, despite his boisterous and friendly personality. If he could afford to pay for me to come all they way to Cheshire and carve a path for me through Unovian and this region's customs , I don't see how a minor stipend to cover the basic necessities is out of his reach...."

With that comment muttered under his breath, Ventus quickly used went over to the Video Caller booth to send a brief message to Director North telling him to expect a call from Mallorn soon about that Beautifly, before he headed back to his designated table in the lobby to continue feeding Haziel seeds, later on releasing Raphael for them to get their fill as well!

(Ok, NOW Ventus is done for the day, unless something in the Center that demands his attention!)

Haniel likes to play a game where Ventus hides a seed in one of his two fists, presents them to the Pokemon, and it has to guess which one contains the seed.

Shiva jofully and somewhat coyly accepted that Pokepsychologist's card, gave it a read more out of interest than politeness, and then put it to the same place in purse where she kept Trainer's Card and Breeder's Lisence.

She seems confident as she gave him and Director North another respectful bow. "Many thanks, Dr...Hypericac (did she pronounce it correctly?), for your time and trust in me! I'll see what I'll find and can do. Now then... That Herdier does not deserve to wait any longer, I'll be on my way right away. With umbrella and everything."

---------------
Mechanics:
Side-quest accepted, Herdier picked up and escorted, any more business in today's Shelter work wrapped up (if there is any?), Tropius picked up and his fruit gifted to Shelter + one more Nabab Berry added to my stock, from my side we can move on to my next matchup in Little Cup then! I won't be able to give any battle intructions today anymore, sadly, as due to time zone difference it's getting late here.

Old Lady Marla Round 2
Marla claps to see Heart having such fun.

Strike 1
(6)(4)(4)(5)(5) Potential critical hit! Iggles is coming in hot, straight for Phantump's delicate leaves!
Evasion: (5)(4)(6)(4)(4) haha, awesome. Critical evade too!
Phantump simply dissolves, leaving a stunned Igglybuff.

Strike 2
(6)(3)(4)(3)(3)(5)
(2)(6)(3) Igglybuff takes 1 dmg. 2/4hp -2 pain.

It giggles as if tickled.

Leech Seed: (5) Iggles is out of the battle!
