"Yes.  We've been abusing power as long as we've been able to remember according to Sinnoh's mythology...it's when we create our own power to abuse and fulfill our own selfish desires that we're at our most dangerous...and most likely to provoke divine intervention of some kind...AZ proved that 3000 years ago, as have some others in recent years..."

"...this is all getting rather philosophical.  I think I'll just leave it there, and I think we can agree we can't allow the Scimitars to create more Genesect.  Particularly if they're allied with Almanac like I suspect they might be.  I'd rather not risk needing multiple Legendaries to intervene after everything's been rather quiet for several hundred years...there's no telling what they might do in response..."

"...Ventus, I'm sorry...I...don't actually know if Silverfish is in the region or not...reading that...it threw all certainty out the window...I'm sorry for unnecessarily raising your hopes and/or resurrecting old fears...but...I still stand by what I said...if there's any way I can help...I will..."

...

"...we need to find that library before they do...we...can't allow them to perpetuate this cycle any more than it already has been..."

...

Nathan stops there, looking serious, sad...

In the beginning, Ventus eagerly drinks in all that Nathan has to say about Genesect with a small but notable smile, almost giddy at the opportunity to FINALLY learn more about his dear old friend, and perhaps uncover a new lead for the group to hunt down!

.....As the boy went on with their tale, that feeling was slowly leeched out of him. Each new unpalatable revelation was like burning acid on his once pleasant (if serious) mood, until finally he couldn't resist staring down upon his private journal with an still, unreadable expression.

...

...

...It wasn't until the young snoop apologized to them that he decided to finally speak up, his voice weary.....sad.....and accepting.

"........Its not your fault, Nathan. It was a longshot at best, but in the end I still choose to hold faith in it, rather than accept the fact that what once was is now......gone. Gone, like so many, many things....."

Ventus then clenches the hand that wasn't holding his journal into a tight first, and his tone turn thunderous and promising nothing but ill for the ones that raised his ire.

".......But I will be damned to Kyurem's frosty domain if I let ANOTHER organization expliot my friend's lineage to wicked ends, least of a foul and arcane cult of fools who refused to leave well enough alone. The Scimitars.....they WILL be stopped from realizing their nebulous goals, even if it means leaving naught but scorched earth in their wake."

He then goes silent once more, leaving Dagney and Nathan to wax philosophically on the nature of Pokémon and human co-existence. Truthfully it was rather interesting and Insight to listen in, even if his own views differed from theirs, but the sociologist was in no mood to engage in discussion of such things. Perhaps later......

" ' Too err is human, to forgive is divine' , Nathan. Humanity has commited a great deal of atrocities in its relatively short existence on Earth, but to forever condemn ourselves for our forfather's mistakes is a folly unto itself. One must learn to absolves of such guilt, and gain a clear perspective. Learn from our history, and forge a present without the glaring flaws of former days, but not be consumed by its darkness, thinking that naught good will come from the slow march of our species through the annals of time."

".....Pokémon are Pokémon, and Humans are Humans. Neither are things that exist that solely exploit one another, but neither are they obligated towards joyous co-existence. What does matter is finding a harmonious balance between our world and theirs, without needless sacrifice or strife on our parts. That is all I have to say on this."

Eventually, however, the empath found it within himself to spare a couple of dour remarks Nathan uttered, before grimly nodding his head at their declaration to put an end to the Scimitar's goals.

"Yes. They must be put to a screech, cataclysmic stop. Sooner, rather than later. To that end, how should we proceed from here? Do we set up a base of operations in Stair City, and began our own investigations into Mt. Sentry to look for the library? Or do we move on towards newer venues, and see if more intel can't be gathered?"

"...we can't stay here.  We need to head to Cress City sooner rather than later.  I need to look into Celebi and potential Relic Stones a bit more...and the Scimitars know we're here.  They're probably hiding right under our noses, just like in Wineberry...it might be a little safer in Cress...I hope..."

...

"...besides, Mt. Sentry is a veritable maze if you stray from the main path.  If anyone can help us quickly locate where this Secret Library might be, or at least keep us from getting lost in the process, it's Tanuki.  She's spent her whole life training in that mountain's tunnel systems.  Nobody besides the pokemon that live there know those tunnels better than she does..."

...

"...though we might be waiting a few days for her to be available if the Little Cup isn't finished yet..."

Never mind the fact that Ventus doesn't necessarily know exactly who Tanuki is yet...

"Hmm, point made. In that case, we should depart for Cress City post haste after Shiva's Gym battle, and begin searching for leads on all things concerning the secret library. However, I doubt that we will entirely escape Scimitar scrutiny, since if they were able to infiltrate Stair City under Dagney's watchful gaze, then its likely they have other bases set in or around the other major metropolitan areas of Cheshire, among other places."

....

"Forgive me for ask, but who's Tanuki? And why is she tied up in the Little Cup? If she can help us navigate the maze that is Mt. Sentry, then she'll be boon regardless, but I would desire to know more about her , rather than she remain a stranger in my eyes."

"Hm? Oh, right...not Creshirean...my bad...Tanuki's the Gym Leader of Cress City, and the cultural leader of Creshire to Dagny's technological progression.  Really likes arts and crafts of all kinds and pokemon that everyone tends to underestimate.  Knowing that, it's not surprising she's the announcer for the Little Cup, so she's currently here in Stair while the event is ongoing."

"I believe that little Minccino is still announcing, but only one round is left and that's tomorrow. Anaster vs Spider in the final round, Anaster the favorite to win. Listen, take anything Tanuki says with a grain of salt. That's all I have to say on the matter."

I think I should make a dinner for everyone. The biggest and best dinner I ever made! To commemorate our depart from this City. I must go buy the ingredients but before that..." Then Heart take his phone and send a message to everyone of his members of the party: Ventus, Shiva, Nathan and Valder."

Then Heart send the message and wait a bit to hear the response from everyone. And buy the ingredients.

Shiva would probably get your message while being in the elevator that takes one from Stair City to Route 4 and the other way round, staying close to Lilith and unwillingly scenting the elevator with Spritzee's calming lavender scent after having told her to please not emit that romantic scent of lilacs and grass from this morning when they're around many people. One run-in with someone who wanted to impress and lure her into going out with them was enough for her for quite a while.

She was just checking how today's weather will be via cell as the in-coming message from Heart almost-startled her. Reading it caused pretty mixed feelings within her and she couldn't help but to frown on the memory of how the last dinner turned and ended... Taking a look at the currently not-visible stars in the sky as well as at Lilith in a manner as if she was expecting to find advice what to do now as she + Pokemon have left the elevator, she eventually decided to being smarter this time and not just agree to come just because.

(I'll get to meeting the Fortune Hunter in a little, @Iron.)

"I do hope you are correct Nathan. While I would love the opportunities to cull their numbers, I'd rather not we be accosted by those wretches and have to do what's necessary to fend off or subdue them at this juncture of time...."

...

"Ah. Hmm....she sounds to be a excellent source of behavioral and sociological information concerning the Pokémon and people of this region, but that is neither here or there at the moment. I don't quite understand the appeal of the Little Cup myself nor its stringent regulations, but I can understand and appreciate the creative thought process that goes into and underlines it, so Tanuki's involvement with the tournament seems reasonable in light of all this information."

"That is quite convenient, since we can consult with her by tomorrow afternoon as to how to navigate Mt. Sentry if we are willing to delay for that length of time. I'm a pessimistic and skeptic at heart, as befitting my professional, so rest assured that'll I thoroughly vet whatever information she provides before blindly and/or heedlessly following."

Ventus then clasps his hands together, and gives a respectful bow to Dagney.

"I thank you hearing me out, my friend, and helping us derive additional insight on the Scimitars goals. Now that we have an idea of what they are truly after, we can better focus and coordinate our efforts to decimate their fiendish designs on Cheshire. If you acquire anymore information on their activity and Genesect, I humbly request you share it with me, and I in turn will regularly update on what we uncover on them as well."

"Due to the urgency of the matter at hand and not wishing to burden you anymore by taking time out of your busy schedule, I'm afraid I'll have to delay of conversation concerning the social and behavioral of your Steel types. Unless you have time to spare and wish to get that out of the way, that is, in which case I would be more than delighted to hold that discussion with you right now. Oh, and you are welcome to join me as well in that case, Nathan, if you have any desire to what I do in a professional capacity."
