Lololol, probably, the dice just may have other plans that we, simply mortal beings, cannot know and even less understand.

I just happen to like math a lot (it's my fav subject).  Probability isn't too difficult, so it's pretty easy to remember some of the more basic maths in that specific category.

Of course, I barely remember Calc 1-3 and some of the finer details of Statistics and Probability because I don't use it too often :/

But to know all these calculations you know a lot. I just remember the basics of the roll of the dices when I need to make a move. And sometimes I screw in these rolls.

AKA: The Dice screw you over, or the DM rightfully fudges results so that you don't end up Burning, Paralzying, AND Freezing the target all in one go. Which is completely understand, as an 86 - 96% chance to proc at least one Status is.....powerful.

Now I'm wondering how much it would cost Raphael to get Tri Attack as a Surprise Move.....

*has flashbacks to Windos's campaign*

It's not quite the same, but it's also worth mentioning that on average, the expected result of procing a Serene Grace, Water Pledge boosted Tri-Attack's effects...you'd expect to proc all 3 every time if the rolls were all perfectly average (ie, you roll every number, 1-6, once each in all 3 sets) since they all have 6 dice in the pool.  Scary stuff.  (Or you could get 3 (6) results in 1 pool and none in the others if you lumped them all together in the same pool instead of 3 separate ones, I suppose...)

Kinda the same for one with 12 D6, except I can't say exactly which two dice would end up being (6) results in a pool of 3 sets of 4 dice.

And base Tri-Attack, perfectly average rolls would proc at least 1 effect every turn.  But again, can't specify which one, obviously.

Let's also keep in mind that the only way to get a Tri-Attack Togepi in the games is from purifying a Shadow Togepi, so...yeah, that'd probably have to be an EXPENSIVE Surprise...

Regardless, Tri Attack is a SCARY move no matter what level of Chance Dice its sitting at, as having a base 60% to proc a Status Ailment per hit is pretty frightening! Since Magneton gets the move naturally, it be all to easy to put the necklace on them and just spam that move to kingdom come until something procs, and if Raphael gets it they can boost it up with Nasty Plot to make it all the more POWERFUL!!!! Flitching, Yawn, Encore, and Triple Status Proc? Yes please! Of course, that if its even possible to begin with, but if not their is till Magneton/Magnezone!

Oh yeah, speaking of Tri Attack fun facts...reminder that it was a TM in Gen 1!  You know, in case you wanted to teach Clefable, Wigglytuff, Alakazam, Slowbro, Cloyster, Hypno, Chansey, Starmie, Mewtwo, or Mew how to use a normal type move that had no secondary effects until gen 2.  (Dugtrio and Magneton actually couldn't learn the move in Gen 1, weirdly).

Of course, then you could trade them to Gen 2...or transfer them to Gen 7, which then means they now have abilities as well (Serene Grace Chansey, anyone?)...

Psyduck also got it as an event move in gen 2, and Spearow can learn it as an egg move.  Fun.

Yeah, 6+ chance dice is where it starts getting ridiculous, and Serene Grace is OP on moves with multiple chance based effects.

Porygon-Z is gonna have a LOT of fun with the randomness of the move when it learns it, even if the odds of procing an effect aren't quite as good.  Nasty Plot AND Agility with STAB and a Download boost, anyone? Wink

Dag nabbit, if Porygon Z tries that combo on Ventus, Imma sending out Remiel to stomp on that combo HARD if at all possible, or Hanael to use Amensia to simply nullify Dowload/Nasty Plot. Or Michael with Spore and Mach Punches galore. Or Acid Spray + Posion Fang + Wrap + Ice Fang them down. Or Raphael to nuke them with Nasty Plot Aura Sphere/Air Slashes, Encore them into a bad Action chain, Charm/Yawn them etc.. Or Swift Swim Dragon Dance Kingdra Bubble Beam to drown them. Or Abaddon.

.....huh, on second though, Porygon Z isn't THAT troublesome at all for Ven and his family at all! Hehehe.....

...nothing really is if Ventus is fighting with most of those kinds of tactics.  Seriously.

Well, assuming Porygon-Z's Tri-Attack doesn't mess up the tactics with paralysis and/or freeze, that is.  (though a Safeguard would just nullify that instantly, so...)

Just one thing: That scene in the lobby is after or before Heart go to the Shellter take Nidorino? Since he awake earlier to go to the Shellter take Nidorino to have time to wait for the others.
