Okaaay.....didn't expect the Chandelure to griefspiral Ventus with Memento, but that will sure as hell be a scene to react to!

That Chandelure just really didn't want to fight, I guess.  Must have figured it would be better to just end things quickly instead of risking its favorite hangout being destroyed because of some random intruder attacking it without warning or prior provocation.

Whoa.  That's more than what I could sell the Clamperl Pearl for...

Thats why Heart prefere a more friendly aproach. Sometimes, things can be resolve without the need to battle. Thats is something Heart learns from Shiva. Thats why he have his mantra: "Lets do some Shiva style". Not in mockery but in admiration.

If you improved the pearl's jewelry value, you could also make some extra $$. Put it in a nice stand, polish it, maybe even cut it (google says that's a thing).

Though a Pink Pearl is much more useful, it's also a more renewable resource. As a Gen III Pokemon, Clamperl is uncommon but not rare. The majority never reach evolution, though, to produce a pearl. And then you have to find it...

True.

Yeah, unlike Clamperl, the pearls themselves are a once in a lifetime thing...and I doubt evolving a Clamperl via trade produces a pearl, either.  So while Clamperl Pearls are technically renewable, they're super duper rare...

Even if I were to obtain another item that boosts psychic attacks, though, I'd probably still hold on to the pearl because I have so many psychic types that could benefit from that kind of item, either now or in the future.

Well, its dead because of the stunt it pulled, as what it did was roughly equivalent of nuking him mind and souls straight to hell and back. Ventus hides a lot of his darkness and pain, surpressing, depowering, and denying it so that it does not hinder him, destroy him, or cause him to become a monster. His iron clad grip over himself and his emotions he's developed over the decades + his insane levels of endurance/DETERMINATION/resilances + actively trying to HARD to be a 'good' now is pretty much all that is keeping him sane and 'stable' , and this is on top of dealing with his phobias, traumas, regrets etc..

When you literally tear all that down and instill a deep, powerful, and pure sense of Hopelessness and Negativity onto his existing deep seated/BAD issues..........you get the picture.

Its not a pretty one.

I was originally going to have Ventus try to eat its soul in revenge, or at least tear it apparent himself, but I figured he'd be too weak to do that/that would going abit too far, and just had Apsis kill the ghost instead. You don't fuck with him like that without paying severely for it.
