Such a rare offensive/defensive beast is sooo incredibly valuable, I don't think any normal person would ever want to part with it...

Shiva would have not much of a problem trading it away for something nice or, more in-chara for her, handing it to Professor Mallorn for containment and study as much as he wants, since she still doesn't enjoy Delta Pokemon. Or she would simply gift it to Heart, knowing his fascination for these.
Does that mean she's no normal person? ╮(￣ω￣;)╭

I also recall a statement saying she prefers if they stay in their home regions.  

Well, Creshire is (probably) the home of Delta Onix and Delta Porygon, and likely many more Deltas to come, so...

Also, back on the topic of the Delta Onix for a brief moment, don't forget Wrap's effect at the end of the round, @Iron!

You know, since Nathan has a Ditto and the party isn't THAT strapped for cash, Ven and Nathan could work together in order to breed more of these Delta Onixs for research/anyone in the party if they want. If not, Ven could evolve it into Delta Steelix and give it to Dagney to breed for Ven and all sorts of goodies, as a Defensive/Offensive Behemoth like that seems right up her ally. Or Ventus could keep it, but since he has Apsis already as his designated bulky snake, that's a minimum possibility. He could also give it to Valder or Heart, since that would well and truly cover their mercenary costs/friendship gifts for quite some time!

What do you think would be the best course of action, mate?

Ventus would have to know Nathan has a Ditto in the first place.  And there's also that...weird thing about it that might complicate matters slightly...and the fact that Nathan doesn't want to solely use Ditto for breeding...it's not a terrible idea, though.  Would take some time to do as well...but it'd definitely be interesting for giving other members of the party besides Ventus and Valder a pokemon with (waaaayyyy) above average Base HP.

This reminds me of how I was kinda considering Onix as a possibility to help cover that flying weakness waaaaayyyy back in Fireweed Forest. 

I'm sure either Heart or Valder would be VERY happy with that Delta Onix since they both wanted that encounter too.

Not sure what the best course of action is, really.  They're all decent options.

Ven doesn't share her phobia towards breeding them, so he'd be probably be unhappy about it but still breed it if that will be his choice. Sorry love, but when you have something this unqiue on your hands and are able to reproduce it (literally, in this case), then you sieze the opportunity!

Besides, if I breed it I can make Delta Onix an investment instead of a one time payment, can share its children with Heart/Valder, and still keep it in the game instead of banishing it back to Iron's notes. Nice, eh?

I definitely would like to see some Delta Onix action.  As I've already said (in the Celadon campaign, but eh), I'm a sucker for using this stuff that all this hard work has been put into...within reason IC, of course.  I can only imagine the frustration of going to all that trouble to make something unique and super special...only for it to just be tossed aside or not meet expectations or whatever.  It's always nice when the work turns out to be worth it.

I can actually think of ONE way to lessen some of the breeding complications Ditto might have...but at certain times, it probably wouldn't help at all because it'd be overwritten entirely by the effect it's trying to nullify...

If you're going to give it to Dagny and arrange some kind of deal where she breeds another one for Ventus...well, I can imagine that'd be a...weird deal.  We'd also lose the benefit of having a Delta Onix that knows moves other than its starting ones (though it's also worth noting that Steelix has the elemental fangs in its repertoire...and that Onix's HA is Weak Armor, while Steelix's is Sheer Force.  Not necessarily going to stay the same with Delta Onix, but it is worth noting)

Indeed! Of course, considering that Beedrill hasn't see the light of day since you balled her Thursday night, she's not doing to much right now! She'll see use at some point, there just hasn't been a good opportunity for it yet.  Better than there being no possibility of GTH Beedrill doing its thing though, considering the circumstances basically made that entire load of work designing them really low payout if I hadn't obtained her.

Now THAT sounds like quite an interesting proposition if I have a say in things.  Ventus finally gets the Scizor he wanted originally (and I'm sure Scyther doesn't give a dang about being traded right now), and Heart finally gets a super special pokemon (and considering the circumstances, Delta Onix probably also won't give a dang about being traded either)...one which can also still evolve into a Steel type...and is also still part flying.

The only potential issue is that in the short term, the deal is probably weighted in a little Ventus's favor since Scizor have only 2 Disobedience and normal Onix have...4.
