[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Ventus finds a battle in Stair City with an enormous man whose eyes nevertheless flash like a trainer seeking a battle. He introduces himself as Bottle.

You find a good spot to square off in the Battle Plateau, which is covered in the final remnants from the Little Cup's stadium. That's as far as the big guy is willing to walk, but you do notice he leaps with surprisingly fluid steps.

The researcher greets the man with a small smile and offers them a handshake, as good graces cost them nothing even in his morose and ruinous state of mind. "Greetings, my friend. My name is Ventus, and its a pleasure to meet your aquantence. If you can forgive me for being curious, though, why do you go by the name 'Bottle?' You don't have to answer, but seldom do meet with others that go by an alias that non-descript, so care to indulge me?"

After that small talk and hashing out the details of the battle/where it was going to take place, Ventus departed towards the Battle Plateau, subtly taking note of the gargantuan man light footwork along the way until he found his place on his side of the battlefield. With a nod of his head, he called out to Battle: "Ready to begin when you are, Bottle! May we both find joy in this battle, and walk away happier than before!" He then flicked his wrist forward, sending out Hanael's and Lilith's Pokeball colliding onto the battle and summoned seconds later!

The lava camel, being the Simple and easy going Pokémon that she is, only blinked a few times before they calmly adjusted themselves and readied herself for battle. The birdpent, on the other hand, gave an look of disdain upon looking around at the modern/polluted city around her and gave a backwards glance to her Trainer, wordlessly telling them that they better plenty of sweet treats to make up for fighting in a place like THIS, yuck! That, and he still owes her for helping summon Primal Alternia, so she deserves to be well rewards for her efforts thus far, hmpt!

Order: Sending out Lilith and Hanael, and waiting for the initiatives! What secrets messages does this big man hold?

You find a jeweler. Asking after his rates, it seems they will absorb most of the value of cutting it. If you wait two days while he cuts it, your profit will go from $3900 to $4500.

The same gentleman would be happy to buy it from you directly for the $3900.

Heart thinks for a second about this offer. Well, its not a bad deal. They come to Cress City today, and they not have plans to leave soon. "I accept your offer kind sir. I can wait two days to let you sir cut the garnet. Its a good deal." Then Heart thanks the guy and leave the garnet.

Some time later...

Heart was walking in the streets of Star City. He was curious to get a certain location. "If I remember right, that gothic guy say he caugh a Gargryph in the Cathedral of Cress City. I want to find that place. I not sure if I can find the place, but its not cost much to search."

Mechanic: Search the Cathedral! The Colletor Side of Heart is tingling to search around that place!

(...) took out his private journal to note this down for the record/further inquiry, recorded a voice message for everyone in the party to explain this fact. (...)

Shiva already knows this, but she'll nevertheless send a 'Thank you for informing <3" as a reply from the new cell when she'll get the message late this day. In the same go, she informs him about how Professor Mallorn residing in Cress City, how he suprised her yesterday evening in the Pokemon Center, and how she was out on lunch with him today.

She's sending this message to Nathan, Heart and Valder as well, so that everyone knows and can pay him a visit if they like on the next in-Game Day.

When Shiva takes a look at the clock on her cell, she remembers it's not working at all, as it got fried in Mt. Sentry.

She opens the package anyway. Inside is...a cell phone, very much like her old one except without any contacts or personalization. She notices that the top secret modifications by the Daycare couple are included.

A message: "We received an alert that your phone had stopped signalling. This usually means it has broken. To activate this new one, just enter the date you first met us, in DDMMYYYY format. That'll prove it's you. Sent this with Mallorn to ensure its safety.

If your phone is not broken, simply destroy this one with a powerful Pokemon move.

Your ally, Golda."

Oh...Indeed, she must have forgotten that it turned all black in Mount Sentry, but she was negatively suprised that it was still not working now - 'Doesn't matter, maybe it was just a bad dream' she thought as she snuggled up back into the pillow.

Only when she has read Golda's kind message ('ally' ringed back melodically in her mind) it came to her that it was NO bad dream. ...All the data... Photos, messages, numbers, erased out of existence because she kept cell with her when enterning the magnetic caverns, foolishly believing that it'll be safe when keeping it turned off.... She felt incredibly luck that PokemonTetris was on her Almanac and not on her cell, as otherwise her Highscore would be deleted forever.

Lucky she was also because she had all numbers she exchanged with people during this journey so far alongside other important ones (Home, Daycare etc.) written down in her journal, so all she need was to save them in the new cell now. Phew... Oh the relieve that she went safe on this. (That's why above, she was able to send the text messages in the first place ^^ ) Photos of shiny Stunky from Ventus etc. are still gone with the wind though.

She also entered the 'password' to ensure Golda that it was her, and sent a 'Thank you, so kind and caring! I really appreciate it... Trip through Mount Sentry killed my phone, somewhat my fault. I'm sorry... Have a splendid day then, both of you!' All of this took her a while, minimum an hour + shower and dressing up.
Eventually, Shiva made her way downstairs and her first destination was the PC beside the counter where she placed the Nuzleaf she accepted back from Nurse Joy (Another pink petal gets placed in Inventory) as well as Silverbolt on the PC to make room for....


..........Cottonee and Braixen she'll pick up now, as promised to one of the Nurse Joy. The first thing Shiva does is investigate Braixen's arm withe the splint, having a sorrowful expression on her face when she spoke. "Oh, dear one....How do you feel, did you take the sedation well? Do you feel any pain? Oh well... You did amazing though. Really... I know it was hard, but in the end we defeated the Dragon. I caught it for safe containment... Haha, no both of you, I won't keep this NASTY creature."

As for Cottonee, Shiva had the most warm hug prepared that dripped with so much tender love that it was almost painful on it's own. "Oh you, dearest fluffball.... Been scared for you... Thought death will part us.... B-But I'm amazed how you made such a fast recover! You're really okay? You enjoyed the heatlamp?"

Mechanics:
The first Encounter of the Day for Shiva will contain of exploring Cress City a little (I'll post what she visits) before being crowned with lunch with Professor Mallorn. But before that can happen, retriving her Pokemon that were under medical care and checked upon again! Braixen won't battle today by any means, the night 24hours have passed, but splint can be removed the morning of the next Day by a Nurse Joy. If he wouldn't hate Ventus, he could do so, but that'll just won't happen.

Furret is currently not outside his Ball.

Bottle sends out a Butterfree the size of a man and a Golduck that's a head taller than Ventus!

The Cathedral is covered in dribbles of wax, but not as much as you might expect. They were all cleaned up probably about three days ago, and the gothic walls have already gained that much new wax. Most of it is white, but interestingly you notice a range of scents around the various candles.

There are four big stained glass windows on each side, displaying heavily idealized versions of the more powerful legendaries. Each and every one has a human in the picture too. The front door is a detailed mosaic containing hundreds of more common Pokemon native to Creshire.

The ceiling is multi-tiered, a bit like a pagoda, and covered in a maze of gutters, downspouts, and gargoyles.

You don't see any that you suspect of being a Gargryph out here.

Inside, there are more gargoyles, just small ones. They decorate fountains, rainbarrels, and even drinking fountains and plumbing.

The entrance hall contains several fonts where you can wash up. Quiet music is playing. To one side, you can see a small library. To the other is a small room filled with multi-colored pillars; you can't see quite what they are for from here. Ahead is the main room of the cathedral.

Instead of pews, it has a range of comfy seats, from armchairs to kneeling stools to beanbag chairs. There are places where you can light provided candles or incense, make donations to a variety of charitable causes, or meditate on baskets of objects. Some of these objects just look like interesting everyday items such as rough stones or smooth driftwood. Others are pieces of Pokemon, such as Stantler horns or iridescent Kecleon scales that change to match the color of whatever they're touching.

It's possible to pull a curtain down and create small private booths for a little solitude.

There's a pulpit and a massive pipe organ for services, but nothing like an altar.

The domed ceiling contains a big golden birdcage. Inside are three small, red birdlike Pokemon, looking cheerfully around the room. From his travels, Heart recognizes them as either Pahar or Palij; he's not sure which.

Oh, I totally forgot something for Nathan.

In the morning, the instant he wakes up, he hears a voice in his room! It's a loud whisper, coming from his backpack. It sounds like it's saying "Dih-cah-lih, Dih-cah-lih" over and over!

Ventus could only initially raise an eyebrow at how unabashedly they all but stated they were a great big lush, before he let out a chuckle and gave them man a cheerful smile. "Well said, Bottle. I prefer to go by my given name, as while I have other titles to go by if I choose, I choose to be known for who I am rather than by my accomplishments. If you are interested, perhaps we can go out for a drink together after the battle? I've had a....rough day yesterday, and some artificial spirits might bolster my own!"

When the boisterous man summoned their Golduck and Butterfree, again the researcher had to pause for a moment to marvel how large they were - 'Only fitting for a man of his stature, but still a surprise none the less'- , before he began to calmly issue orders to his family members. "Haneal, Amensia to fortify yourself, then burn down the Butterfree with Ember. Lilith, Leer to cow the opposition, then harry the Butterfree with Peck. I do not want that insect to set up without it paying a hefty price in the process, so take them down!"

Order: Haneal will buff herself with Amensia to better tank any water attacks that Golduck will no doubt send her way, before using ember 2 times on Butterfree. Lilith will use Leer to lower both opponent's Defense and soften them up, before she starts to Peck 3 times the living daylights out of Butterfree. If Golduck uses Aqua Jet on Hanael, have Lilith intercept it for Hanael if possible. If Either Pokémon fall bellow half HP, heal with a Potion, with priority going to Lilith. If Golduck uses Water Sport, still user Ember on Butterfree as if this man is a bulky as he appears to be than the Auto + 1 Damage and the min Attack dice will do more damage than not. Name of the game is get rid of Butterfree, so let's get on it!

Both of Shiva's Pokemon are doing great. Braixen's smile is a little weak, but Cottonee is her normal mischievous and cheerful self already. Eager to explore some weird scents in Cress City!

Heart was quite disapointed for not have find any Gargryph in the Cathedral. "Ahhh what a shame. And here I am expecting some kind of chance to capture Gargryph...I think I have to come here tomorrow I guess..." When Heart was about to leave he see the group of bird pokemon. "Wow...now this is something rare. They are Pahar or Palij. I not sure witch one. But I know they come from Tandor. A very rare species of Flying/Fire. Ahh if it would be possible to capture them." Heart them begin to search the place for a person to tell him from where is come from that Tandorian Birds.
