Friendly reminder that Ghosts are immune to being trapped as of Gen 6. Not that I expect those ghosts to flee at all. Doesn't say it in the book, but it does still make a lot of sense mechanically.
Can they use that ability if they are KOed and Asleep, though? Also, in this case I'd like the Core Book interp. to be followed if at all possible, if only to prevent another Chandelure-esqe escape on him......

Common sense wise, I wouldn't think they could flee if they were KOed and/or asleep. Chandelure...well, that was it fleeing as a part of Memento, I guess. *shrug*
But again, probably no need to trap these Haunter (if it's even possible) since they're the ones doing the attacking...
...
Uh oh. Hang on. UPDATE! It doesn't say Ghosts are immune to Block effects as a whole in the book, yes. HOWEVER...
...it DOES say they're immune to Shadow Tag's effects in the description of the ability (in addition to Shadow Tag users being immune to Shadow Tag, just like in the games. Can't have those dual Wobbuffet stalemates, after all). *shrug*
Might have to rethink your plan a little, Windos. Maybe.

....Mate, why did you have to bring that up? I was about to go check Iron's version of the rulebook to see if that was true in that version, but I guess you done went and confirmed it. This is going to be a right chore now if they manage to get away now.....
EDIT: Alright, I just edited my last set of orders Iron so that Michael and Apsis Grapple both the Ghost after they have been Fainted, as mechanically they are Blocked that way and its Typeless, so they ain't immune to it either.

They changed very, very little between versions as far as the listings and effects went. They added the new gen 7 moves/pokemon and updated movepools (mostly), made one or two tweaks to some rules (such as Confusion's effects and the multiple action penalties), and corrected typos (there are still a lot, though).
That's why 1.2 is still a good reference for 1.1.0 most of the time. Practically all the ability and move effects and most of the movepools for the pokemon (minus the addition of gen 7 moves) are the same.
I think it's slightly lazy, tbh, but it's that way because they don't want to rewrite the entire pokedex every time a new pokemon game comes out and dumps a garbage truck of buffs on everything. It's like the book is using gen 6 X/Y mechanics with a splattering of gen 7 stuff and almost no OR/AS in the 1.2 version as a result (some other stuff besides pokemon movepools missed out on buffs, too. For example, Weak Armor buffs speed by 2 in gen 7, but it still buffs Dex by 1 in 1.2)

Uh...does he? I think that'd be better answered by the player himself. I don't think Valder has made any comments of any kind in that regard yet...
We communicated via PM awhile back during the second Scimitar infiltration (The small base beneath the Dpt. Store) about whether Valder would be comfortable killing the Scims there if necessary, and Nylon said they wouldn't care either way, so I took it Valder doesn't care about killing either humans or Pokemon. At least, that is what I recall from memory. Mind clarifying things for us @Nylon?
Sorry for being so absent, Zelda BOTW is very addicting (and gorgeous).
Valder doesn't enjoy killing civilians, but he'll do it if offered a big reward. It's not that it's heavy on him, but he doesn't like the chance of jail. Scimitars are worse. Valder doesn't like them and won't hesitate to kill them if appropriate.
Pokemon isn't something he has had to think about. If they threaten him, he will kill. He doesn't enjoy killing crying baby Teddiursas and whatnot.

Cool. Yes, please leave the small Pokemon to catch for someone!~ Besides, if you want to add something to that meeting, you can gladly do so.
I can agree on the sentiment on Zelda. C:

Tell me about it. I beat all the DLC and Ganon the other day after hunting down the last of the shrines (I had to look up where the last 9 or so were, but eh). I wouldn't dare try to do all the sidequests and Korok Seed hunting blind, though. I've been playing a lot of Xenoblade Chronicles 2 since then. Also addicting and gorgeous I'll probably go back to BOTW and play on Master Mode at some point. That oughta be an interesting challenge...and I've still got a ton of stuff to do in Super Mario Odyssey as well...and some other games. But I'll always have some time for our pokerole stuff!
Well, can't say I'm surprised about Valder's morality view...I just hope his trigger finger isn't as itchy as Ventus's...

Don't worry, I have already thought about Shadow Tag's effect on ghosts.

Considering that Ven's willing to explain WHY he wants to hunt down and KILL Chandelure and its a dangerous Pokémon to begin with, I don't think Valder would have much conniptions helping his employer out. Especially Ven plans to pay him BIG TIME if his Haunter actually DOES find Chandelure when all else has failed, besides just caving in the Candelabra out of spite/pseudo revenge against the thing that spawn it in the first place. Which is looking to be a more and more appealing option, if finding the candlestick spirit doesn't pay out sooner or later.....
