[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
Pokeball: (4)(1) vs (3)(2) Got it in one! This Haunter is identical to the other.

Valder/ @Nylon knows that if Haunter goes down there solo, the two Pokemon may just fight, or Haunter may be the one drive back, and Haunter could even take injury. That's a third stage vs a second stage, and Chandelure's toughness hasn't been assessed yet.

There won't be any way to observe an interaction between the two Pokemon.

So this will have to be something that Nylon specifically authorizes.

Edit: This'll probably come down to an Insight+Fight+Intimidate vs Will, to scare Chandelure up. If you want to spend any XP, Valder. (assuming Chandelure is down there)

Nah, not purposely seeking anything out.  Just headin' to the shrine with a Furret, Ralts, and Castform in tow.  A roll will be fine if anything does show up.

(1)(2) = 3, rare encounter

As Nathan is strolling through the park, an Emolga wakes up and chirrups at him from a hollow tree! It seems grumpy at being woken up so "early" in the day, but it doesn't seem aggressive.

Whoa, is that an EMOLGA?!

Well, didn't expect to find somethin' that rare on a casual stroll through the park..heck, he didn't even know Emolga lived around Cress City...seems just a tad grumpy, though...well, nothin' some general good cheer probably can't fix, right?

Nathan's in a pretty good mood, so he waves at the flying squirrel-mouse pokemon.

"Mornin'!  Sorry about wakin' ya.  Since you're up though...care to join us?  We're gonna be havin' a small picnic here in the forest since we haven't had a proper breakfast yet!  Lots of honey to go around, and a few other snacks I picked up a little earlier.  Always room for one more!"

(Sweet, that means I have two Haunter/Gengar [Since that is what they'll be when traded] to barter with! Not sure if Cress is the right place to flog them, though, so some Teleporting might be necessary to find the right place for trading.

As for the Haunter/Chandelure Conflict, you are right about that, but I'll state that Ven will give over one of his Sitrus Berries for Haunter to hold onto should Valder/ @Nylon agree to this plan of action.)

Emolga flies down and snatches some honey and whatever kind of biscuit or whatever you have. Then it heads on up back to its tree, but not all the way inside the hollow. It converses with Nathan in a constant stream which seems to change from grumpy to happy to nonchalant and back to a rant.

Yeah, that makes Haunter as valuable as a third stage mon, and it's hard to get to their nest without getting disappeared. That disobedience tanks a lot of the value though. Gotta find the right buyer.

There'd be some fruits, biscuits, some granola bars, maybe a few nuts, the usual pokefood...bit of an on-the go type breakfast, something simple that doesn't require a lot of prep.  They can definitely stop here for that picnic before continuing to the shrine.

Interesting that this Emolga seems to definitely not be a morning pokemon...but at least it seems to be kinda happy to be included in this?  Maybe?

Well, whatever the reason, it's just nice to be sharing this time with the various pokemon Nathan's got around him.

"Out of curiosity, ya get a lot of company around here, Emolga? Don't mean to pry if it's too personal a question. Just curious is all."

Emolga shakes his head, and explains to you in great detail exactly what his daily life is like. You can't really catch any of that. Many Emolga are nocturnal, though, according to the Pokedex. These deep woods Emolga are pretty reclusive.

Heart nod his head in anticipation for the incoming battle. He punch one first to another. "Lets go find a good place for battle then. I excited to begin our battle! Nathan and Valder, you can join with us to witness the great battle!" Then Heart follow Shiva and swap his party to bring his best combination (PM with the information coming @Iron!).

After that swap of his team, Heart follow Shiva to their battlefield. Heart could see the Skull Ruins, and couldnt reject to feel a uneasy feeling about that place. With the vines. He know they have win and be able to throw back that evil thanks to the help of the Sage, but he knew sooner or later they will need to fight against Claydoll and his army of Tangrownt. Koa was in Heart shoulder and snar with the vision of the Skull Ruins. Heart then try to calm his draconic friend. "Dont worry Koa. We are safe from the threat of the Skull Ruins for now. Thats why we need to get stronger to fight against them."

Heart then see Shiva. He know she feel a bit insecure, knowing her. Heart then give a weak punch in her shoulder to make her feel better and alert for the battle. "Earth calling Shiva. Commander Heart talking with you." Say Heart with comedian side. "Dont need to be worry Shiva! We are not in some sort of battle of life and death here. Thats just a friendly battle between us. And I quite happy to have the chance to battle with ya. But I just want to say one thing: This may be a friendly battle, but dont think I take easy with ya! Lets do our best okay?" Then Heart offer his punch to Shiva punch back (something like a bro first, or in this case a Bro/Sis punch @PhantomUnderYourDesk).

After that Heart was finally ready to bring his pokemon in battle. "Lets go them! Here my first two pokemons!" Them he throw his pokeballs in the same as Shiva.

A lot of boredom in some of those words, though, I imagine.  Which I'm sure Ralts would pick up on.

"Not a very exciting daily routine, huh?  Yeah, I hear ya...I come from a rather quiet place myself...Trillium Town, farther north.  At the foot of an active volcano.  About the most exciting thing that happened there though was seeing the Running start around the slopes of the volcano...from a loooonnnngggg ways away.  And that only happens once a year.  Not very exciting in the long term.  Lots of cool hiking trails in the forests around the mountain's base, though.  And I guess it is a bit of a crossroads for the northern part of the region..."

Nathan snacks on some stuff, thinking.

"...ya know, ya ever thought about maybe traveling?  Would probably be a great deal more exciting.  I know my life certainly has been since I set out...been across maybe half of the region by this point..."
