"Ah. So that's probably what his pokemon were fighting over back on Route 05...that would make sense, considering Mamo was the only one not in that little scrap...and he found three? Wow..."

Thoughtful silence...

"...well, something to keep in mind, I suppose...well, what's the next exhibit on the list? Hmmm..."

And just like that, it's back to wandering the museum that Nathan goes. Not enough time for Medicine and the League, but hey, he can always come back tomorrow!

Ralts continues to STARE at Malphena, his arms crossed, still kinda unamused. For someone so small and frail, he certainly doesn't act like it, that's for sure. It's almost like he's older than he looks...kinda.

He listens...looks at Nathan...looks back at Malphena...STARES.

...then he turns away and heads back over to Nathan. Mostly ignoring Malphena again. He doesn't like that she's bothering him and Nathan for who knows what reason...he's going to be keeping a close eye on her to make sure there's no funny business...

"...yeah, I'm...fine. It's just..."

...Nathan starts chuckling.

"...I completely forgot...so much has happened...it just...flew right over my head..."

"...I need to go pick up something at the Center real quick. I'll be right back after I do. Should only take a few minutes. Ralts, Furret, let's get goin' to the Center."

Off to the Center Nathan goes to see what the surprise is! He'll be right back after he's withdrawn the items in question.

Ralts continues to STARE at Malphena, his arms crossed, still kinda unamused.  For someone so small and frail, he certainly doesn't act like it, that's for sure.  It's almost like he's older than he looks...kinda.

He listens...looks at Nathan...looks back at Malphena...STARES.

As the abnormal Ralt's returned his attention to the birthday boy, intent on blocking her out, the Little Miss couldn't help but roll her eyes again and huff as she returned to her own master's side as their no-nonsense, fuddy duddy attitude still persisted despite her going out of her way NOT to antagonize him and 'kindly' catch him up on events.

Honestly, he would be ALL too easy to rile him and toy with if he kept acting so curt and serious around her, instead of living a little by going beyond his comfort zone and learn to enjoy a bit of mischief, but if that's the way he wants to be, oh well. She'll just keep being her dandy self around him until he finally learns to loosens up a bit. Or not. Either way, she'll be having SO much fun with the interesting scamp in the forseeable future, te he~

The researcher, on the other hand, was greatly relieved when Nathan started responding once more, though their cryptic comments certainly left them puzzled.

"Forgotten about something? Pray tell, what-" Ventus started to say, before he was cut off as they sprinted off to the Pokémon Center to retrieve something, the blitzkerg depature leaving him blinking for a several seconds until he heaved a great big *Sigh.....* and place a hand on his head as he shook it.

"At least Nathan is fine, even if he's in too much of rush to explain things properly. By the Tao Trio, that boy is handful and a half, no matter the circumstance....."

His sister couldn't help but let out a giggle of agreement as she nudge his sides for attention, earning a chuckle from him as he swept his hand through her aetherial locks of hair. With Malphena around, he wouldn't have to worry about growing too exaserbated with her sense of jollity and humor!

Only when Nathan has finished his phone call Shiva brings her attention back to where they currently were - on one of the streets of Cress City, heading to the Shack dedicated to Trading Cards !~ The more and more she thought about them, the more curious she grew about them as well.

That means, by courtesy she hasn't heard a word from what they were talking on the phone, but if she'd have to guess, it was probably his mother who called, for a reason that she cannot and doesn't need to know. But from how Nathan was staring at the Pokedex somewhat...stunned? Confused? That was probably it.... If she wasn't mistaken, there was even a tad bit of an intrigued hint on his expression. Huh...? She replies to that with a wondering expression on her own, tilting her head and pondering whether she should ask what's wrong, before Ventus already beat her massively. She'll let him handle things, and as Nathan ran off to the Center as he said, she couldn't help but to watch him doing so while her adult mind fails to definitely understand what may have caused this unexpected fleeing from them. Did...they say or do something wrong?

The Little Miss gave Shiva an openly suspicious look as she approached her master, reading her intentions/feeling written on their expression, before dropping it and giving them a nod of her head, before floating off to the side to give both of them some room. She may be a mischevious trickster with a propensity for pomp and scare, but that doesn't mean she can't be social and/or curtious; its just most of the time she doesn't have to bother with such things. That, and it was more trouble than its worth to give the woman a hard time for her rather rude reaction last night since the matter had been resolved, though if they think she was cowed by her stargazer they be in for a BIG scare the next time they pull a similar stunt....!

Due to this and his mystical friend tugging on his sweater Ventus removed his hand from his forehead and turned to regard her with a faintly surprised look at her question, as he expected you to listen in on the conversation like him, but in the end he shake it off and answer her with a slight note of put upon confusion.

"Indeed  you are correct about the caller her being his mother, and yes she's fine, or otherwise Nathan would have had a much more severe reaction to the phone call. From what I could gather, she has apparently surprised him with something and has sent a care package of some variety, but that is all I know for certain. As you saw he ran off without telling me much at all, though, so your hypothesis is as reasonable as mine for the cause of his sudden flight...... *Sighs* Yes, perhaps that would be the best course of action, as who knows when he'll return or what mood he'll be in by then....."

As he gave his most blessed girlfriend a nod of his head, he caught a glimpse of something.....white and furry hiding behind her legs, causing a different for of confusion to alight in his mental crawlspace.

"Shiva, something is obscuring itself behind you, and I'm not quite sure what it is. Is it perhaps a new Pokemon of yours I haven't meet, or did I accidentally drop my Reshirim plushie behind you somehow....?

While not working, Valder buys one Dry Food and entertains himself with feeding Ventus' Natu with the newly bought treat. If Natu reacts very positively Valder will probably buy some Ultra Snax for his one-day pet/comrade.
 Valder is also sightseeing while doing this.

That ghostly Misdreavus - 'What did Ven call her again, Melphena, right...?' - actually kindly greeting her before even making a bit room earned her (Misreavus) a thankful and appreciated look from Shiva. She wouldn't have thought that the ghost can be so, well, kind, after it gave her the fright of the Day earlier! Maybe almost setting Lilith against her with the readiness to Feint Attack her into oblivion to teach some manners has left a lasting impression? Shiva still has Yena to defend herself against Ghost Types in particular, but 1. she hasn't the butterwolfly with her at the moment, and 2. Shiva wouldn't let Yena hunt a party member's Ghost Types unless it gives her real reason. Like getting too close to her. Or, the other possibility, maybe Maphena has enough fear and startling sucked from Shiva for a little? It'd relieve her if that's the case, but she fears for the next blow.


"....Oh. Well, nice to know that his Mum's fine! It's...surely something that they can call each other effortlessly and don't have to deal with an instable connection. Hmm, then he probably has ran off to the Center to accept this care package if she placed it onto his PC. Guess we'll find out more soon, if Nathan's up to share once he's back."

Shiva would be sad if Ventus would have dropped Reshiram Plush somewhat and somehow, he better takes good care of it! Now, as he said that something was obscurring itself behind her, Shiva actually looks down and behind her in curosity, chuckling behind the pages as she spotted her white fox being shy. She knees down and gently offers her hand to Vulpix to show that she's there. "Haha, that's the Pokemon I got traded by an Ace Trainer for that Druddigon. It's not endemic to Chreshire. Isn't she a cute white thing?"

Vulpix shyly-curious looks up to that young man in a green sweater, wondering who that is.

Her rings glow in the dim light as she dances from one shadow to another, the eight points of the compass. Koa dances in the center of the pagoda and she on the perimeter, but they move in sync.

+1 Dex, +1 Str for Koa. In other words, his grace is amplified.

Umbreon's fur erupts in a shower of very pale lights. Through the lattices in the pagoda roof, moonbeams lance down, striking all around Koa in mock battle of Fey against Dragon.

Pokemon of similar kind can talk to each other in a very basic "language", but since Ralts is the Emotion Pokemon he can understand quite well what Malphena is trying to get across. Interestingly, Pokemon understand Common far better than they understand another Pokemon of a different species!


There are three things in Nathan's PC. Two are Mail. There's a card from Mom, which is quite similar to the one he gets every year - usually ranching puns. (Spiritmon, maybe you can think of one for me.)

The other is from Uncle Oscar. It says "Happy 15th!" in red ink, which your mom has tried to subtly correct with a big red marker. Inside the card is a print of a Keni Morgusi card! A Skarmory, darting down through trees, carving them to mulch as it dives! The move on the card is "Fly", 9 damage (out of a possible 10). This is a rare card design, but of course it's not worth anything as a mere print. 

In your PC you also find 5 BIG slices of chocolate Gateau! (each is a Full Heal outside of battle). All together they spell out "Happy Birthday Nathan!!" with a blue Rapidash. Its horn is a big candle, and each hoof is a smaller candle.

Heart have finish the song and when have finished he was able to see the beautiful Moonlight Umbreon have bring to the battlefield. Heart was delight with such light, and the same time, determined to go foward to this battle. "I think it is time to show our strengh Koa my good friend. Are you ready buddy?" Koa nod his head and show his claws, more than ready to show his strengh! "Koa! Prepare yourself! First use Slash! Hold your lethal power! Then use False Swipe, but with style my friend!"

Slash Accuracy: Dex (*4) + Fight (3) + Brawl (3) - Actions (2) - Perfomance (3) = 5d6
Damage: Power (3) + STR (*4) +/- Rivalry (1) = 7d6/6d6
Effect: Hight Critical. Lethal (Hold)

The card from his uncle is.  What prompted this?  Hmmm...he's never met anyone from his dad's side of the family before, and they never really visited the ranch or anything...

...that's a LOT of chocolate...no way was he going to be able to eat all this by himself...the blue Rapidash reminiscent of Max is a nice touch.

...it's not the genuine thing, but it's still quite the sight to behold.  And it's a Skarmory too...

...maybe Uncle Oscar picked it out because it quite neatly mirrors Marco's Skarmory...almost.  The Skarmory on the card is clearly using FLY instead of Fly, but it's close enough.

...

Well, all this gets carefully packed away for the time being.  Back to meeting up with Shiva and Ventus at the trading card shack!  

Nathan's not in any particular hurry on the way back, but he does have a small smile on his face, and Ralts looks really happy.  When inevitably asked what's going on by either Ventus or Shiva, he just says he'll show everyone later.
