For the longest period of time, no response....until you heard muffled noises coming from the big ball of sheets.

Straining your ears, you could hear the sound of sniffling and whinning, and underneath it you could hear Kyubi's voice, faint to almost the point of being imperceptible. Perhaps getting closer would help you hear her more clearly?

"Th-th-the ex-x-xamination.....I-it went w-well. Th-the d-doctor was n-nice and...and friendly, and d-didn't ma-make me f-feel w-weird. M-M-Mr. Mime....h-helped me in-understand h-how it w-worked, and....and all a-about my....my....m-my......!"

At that point, she broke down, her response devolving into sobs and whining. "*Sobs....* M-my child is......! *Cries heartbrokenly.....*

Reiner struggles to say the next part.

Maybe trying to get Kyubi to focus on a more immediate issue will help.  Reiner's not exactly given Kyubi a lot of detail, but it should be just enough to tell her Reiner isn't doing okay either.  And he's had to sit right next to her on the bed since he's feeling a little dizzy from the intensity of Kyubi's emotions.  He's audibly taking deep breathes, trying to stay calm.

He won't cry.

Not for Clair.

Not when the emotions aren't his own.

...he needs comfort just as much as Kyubi does, really.  The question is: will Kyubi calm down enough to focus a little on Reiner's problem a little?  Reiner's gonna be in a bad way if she doesn't...the best thing she can do to help him is to calm down a little and partially focus on his problem instead of putting all her attention into her own...

@Spiritmon : I couldn't find your last post for some reason, so I'm just going to use the version I archieved. Arial's messages begen with the first word of that given block of text underlined, while the first word in Riza's/Mine Response blocks of text are bolded.

Riza delightedly smiled and let out a pleased *Hzzzzm…..* of approval as you dug into your pot roast in earnest, nodding her head once in satisfaction. With a healthy and a voracious appetite like that and plenty of rest, her precious friend would be back in full fighting form, ready to Survive whatever the world throws at him once more! One thing is certain for her, though: she’s not leaving him alone ever unless given a BIG reason not to do so. The last time she was away he nearly was blown up by evil slime pile and ended up interacting with that Annoying Woman, so she must be extra vigilant for his safety for now on!

Your friendly neighborhood nuclear abomination continued to give the Cleric a leery, intense look at your gentle request, causing them to start to figit uncomfortably under her scrutiny…..until she let out a *Bzzzzzzzsssssk…..* noise that sounded her distorted version of a sigh and turned her away. If her master wanted her to play nice with the overly nosey fish thing, she would obey his request, even if she much rather like to have the option to make glowing green fish sticks out of the Alomomola if it became too nosy for its own good. Best be grateful for that, Cleric!

Your new resident caregiver, meanwhile, lets out their own audible *Sigh* of relief at the reprieve she was being given, turning towards you to give you an incline of its head/body + a kind smile in response to your words and gesture . Normally she’d object to being told to being told how to do her job, but that…..bug gave her the hibby geebies something FIERCE, so she doesn’t mind giving them as much personal space as they want! Besides, there was plenty of other Pokemon that needed/wanted her care attention, so it was their loss really! Durendal just shrugged their shoulders and nodded their head at your request, as that was what they planning to do, so no conflict of interest there!

The Bug Metahuman crossed their arms as you defended Nelly, still not entirely impressed or trusting of the spunky young woman, but by the end she let out a grumbled *Chitter…* acceptance, the reluctance in her ‘voice’ and body language extremely apparent.

She almost startles as you reach forward and grab her hand, and what looked to be a weirdly colored blush manifested on her face as she meekly looked away and nodded her head. Oh no, now Arial is making her feel weird, but in a…good way? So confusing…..but so interesting too….

Bringing up the offer to explore your home region someday surprises her out of the strange feelings she was experiencing, causing her to look at you with a familiar sense of awe as she nodded her head. Tandor was a fine place in her distorted opinion, with lots of lush, tropical areas for her and her Bugs to hunt in, with the best place of all being Bakyel Forest. Maybe they could pay Big Mama a visit there, if she didn’t mind her bringing company!

She accepts the walkie talkie with a befuddled look you miss as you explained the code names to her, as if trying to comprehend how such a thing could let her speak with Arial anytime, anywhere, but never puts it away with a nod. She’ll figure out how to use it tonight, when she has plenty of time to look it over without worrying/looking after you.
As for further questions, she pauses to think about it, before shaking her head no. All things seemed clear to her: Care for Arial, Protect Arial, Tolerate Arial’s New Friend, and Get A Bug/Steel Pokemon to Help Arial Hunt Glowing Green Monsters. Simple!

Arial was a little startled when Riza gentle take him to the couch and then she bring his food. He is not so much acostumed to receive this type of threat with a woman giving to him food (even its a cute bug-woman). He decided to focus in eating the food to reasuare her he will be okay. "Thanks Riz. I will of course eat something. Be almost exploded really open the appetite of someone." Then he vigorous begin to eat. He didnt know how much he was hungry.

Arial was almost amused too see Durendal and Sekmet reaction about Alomolola. "Sekmet. Durendal. Be please dont be so much agressive towards our new team mate. She is not much acostumed and is kind her nature to take care of any pokemon including you two. Alomolola, please dont be so much evasive towards the space of others. Sekmet its a bit...private about her personal space get it? But I apreciatte your dedication as a Healer and nurse. Your help you be very much helpful." Arial then do a respectful bow towards her.

Arial too notices the sentiments Riza feel related to Nelly. He wave his hand trying to disband the negative energy. "Ah dont worry about her Riza. Nelly its NOT a bad person. I could see that during our battle. Emotions can be easily show during pokemons battles. Besides, I need to work in my social skills too Riza. Since I am a Rocket, conections and links its something very much important. Besides, she is very helpful in training me about using my energy in combat. With will be very useful during our mission in the Nuclear Factory." Arial feel there was more behind than just distrust and to calm her he grab her hand trying to calm Riza. "But I know what you mean. After everything I have face before, some cautious its always useful. I promise I will take a eye just in case Nelly do something. I promise."

When Arial hear Riza was before in Tandor his eyes wide in surprise. "You was in Tandor before? Wowzer thats a surprise. I think when we finish the thing around here in Tandor I will owe you a proper tour in Tandor. In my home city to be more precisely, BealBeach City. Its a City surrounded by the ocean and with some beautiful beachs. I think you and your bugs will love it." Arial couldnt avoid but to think how it would be look Riza with a bikini. He disbands that think right away. No time to have this type of though! Focus! He blush a little then finally return to speak again. "I-I understand the the need to take bug/steel will take half a day. Thats why I will give you this." Then he take a little walkie talkie (the same he have use to talk with Reiner and the others). "This is called walkie talkie. This thing will make be able to talk even in range distances. And vice-versa." The Arial take his own Walkie talkie and his voice project to Riza Walkie Talkie. "Cat calling ladybug. Are you listening?" Then Arial smile again. "In case to avoid problems, we shall use codenames when we talk though the walkie talkie. You shall call me cat, and I will cal you ladybug. Just press this button to talk, and relesea the butto to hear my voice there. When you find a steel/bug, just use the walkie talkie to update your mission. Any questions?"

Arial coudnt help but see how much cute is Riza when she is blushed. Ah, how much he love that bug woman! But for now he need to focus in the mission in hand. "I very gladly Riz. Thank you. I owe you a date later when we finish this Nuclear Factory thing. I promise." Arial smile too looking foward for make up with that promise. He is madman with word.

Arial was happy to see the accpetance of Riza in coming with him to Tandor someday. "Awesome! You will love the place. Well, its been a year since I go to Tandor because of certain events about Nuclear Crisis, and a few problems with Nuclear Pokemon (I even heard a Nuclear Gyarados appear in Bealbeach City...). But after some time, Tandor its now okay and ready to receive visits. And you can find many types of pokemon you never see in other regions included bugs: Cubbug, Cubfly, Firokes, Harylect, Sporanee, etc. And there even a Legendary Bug who live in Baykal forest." Arial than stop talking for a second and blush a little embarassed. "Haha, sorry about that. Sometimes I become myself a little excited when I talk about my homeland. Even knowing I endured many hard moments there, Tandor will be always be my home. Its like they say: "Home is where you feel you heart feel happy." 

When seeing Riza understand everything and dont have further questions he clap his hands together. "Excelent! Than lets finish our lunch than wait for Reiner arrival. He might be already here by this hour. He might be not be very much happy with me disobeying his orders to stay here in the Hotel, but I must endure since I am his henchman. But dont be worry about me Riz. Reiner might be look a little scary sometimes, but deep, deeep, deep, VERY deep inside him, he is a nice guy. You will learn that after work with him for a while. I just a little worry about how the battle end. A battle with such proportion between Z-Moves explosion is something very much worrysome to say at least....witch remind me: I might want to ask Proton or Petrel one Z-Crystal and Z-Ring too! Heck even if I have Mega Evolution on my side, unleash a big powerfull attack against your foe its always awesome! Remind me to ask that later Riz ok?" Then Arial begin to return to his eating. He stop midway and offer a seat to Riza too. "You can sit if you want Riz. I like some company to talk." Then he open a smile.

Kyubi Grief Spiral Recovery Roll: Empathy (10) + Love/Compassion/Loyalty/Happiness for Reiner (6) = 16D6 Dice
Dice Results:

Less than 0: Her grief MAXES OUT, and she does something less than....pleasant.
1-4: Failure to get through to her completely, and Reiner grows increasingly distressed/breaks down himself (Your call, mate, but he's going to be messed up either way!).
5-8: Still a Failure, but Reiner doesn't get any worse, and has another chance to either try against or do something different.
9-12: Success, with her grief output halted and the pressure it exerts on Reiner eliminated, and she sort of calms down enough to listen/answer question more coherently. Still a mess emotionally speaking, though, so that needs TLC.
13-15: Big Success, with the above happening but she manages to snap out of her grief and recover from it enough to actually give Reiner adequent support for his woes.

If your words had any impact on Kyubi's grief wracked state of mind, it was not an apparent one, as she still continued to keen/wail her heart out at the loss of her child. However, it seems like the near crippling negativity she was broadcasting had leveled off for a time, and she gave off the impression she was still listening, so you another chance to try and get through to her, or try yet another approach to at least partially ameliate her woes. Use it wisely now!

It was hard to tell exactly what position and where she was in that great big bundle of sheets, and the ambient distraught feelings further compromised your ability to think and focus your search, but you managed to grit your teeth, locate where you think one of Kyubi's shoulder is, and gently rest your hand upon it.

Almost instantly her keening cut off, the oppressive, grief fueled, and psychically amplified + broadcast miasma that threatened to crack your mind like an Egg vanished too along with it. It happened so abruptly that it left you feeling light headed, bewiddlered, and woozy, not unlike the sensation of being vigorous spun around....

Reiner's Recovery Roll: Insight (2) + Channel (3) = 5D6 Dice

....which ended up causing you to slump right on top of the big ball of covers, now experiencing a bought of Confusion, which will work how it does in Iron's campaign, IE: - 2 Insight and doing weird stuff if you fail the roll. The only exception is that if a character has 2 Insight, it will be reduced to 0 instead of 1.

In other words, since Reiner has only 2 Insight right now....

Reiner begins to make slight burbling noises as his face is smothered by the covers, his mind fogged up and senses numbed as his limbs failed to properly interpret his orders, result in him weakly floundering on the covers.

.....he's completely out of it right now, and out of your control.

The last things his conscious mind conceives is feeling the covers underneath him began to shake and stir, followed shortly by what looked to be a fuzzy image of Kyubi's head emerging right from underneath the spot you thought her shoulder was and pushing your hand to the side in the process. He couldn't see her expression clearly- his eyes refused to focus right - but mercifully his ears were still working as he picked up the kistune's muffled but unmistakable voice, confusion, concern, and remenents of her former heartbreak contained in its tone.

"......Reiner......? Master.....? Master.......what......................................"

Before he could hear the rest, the last of his coherent thoughts faded away, leaving him senseless and unaware of himself and everyone around him for the remainder of the night, as he rest/recuperates from his Confusion.

He should be fine by early Tomorrow Morning.

First, though, let's see just how long he was 'Mindlessly' Confused!

Time Elasped: (5) Lucky for you, Reiner was only outa it for an hour! Now time to make a couple of rolls to see what he got up to in that time frame.

...Slowly, consciousness returns to you, head still muddled and senses/train of thought addled by the Confusion brought upon by the swift reversal in Kyubi's mood. Never the less, you have managed regained a limited degree of awareness.....

....though not enough to realize you are Confused in the first place, or recall anything that happened in the hour you were 'Mindless'. Trying to remember in that timeframe only left you with fuzzy, distorted images and sounds that made you slightly sick and you head ache, so no luck there. Finally, as if to round off things off, you currently don't even remember how or why you ended in this state in the first place.- the furthest you can remember is entering your room to talk with Kyubi about something, but that's about it. Perhaps you'll remember it all eventually, or if the memory is triggered by something....

In short, after doing a quick mental assessment and scanning your memories, you only knew that you had passed out for some reason, which elude you due to the minor case of amnesia you have (again, for some reason), you felt strangely.....buoyant, for a lack of a better term (for you), and finally you felt blissfully warm, comfortable, safe, lovingly cared for, and the soothing feeling of fingers parting through your hair....

....Huh?

Wait, what was that last part again?

As that thought colested in your mind, you realize your eyes have been closed the whole time, and that something was going on.

Mystified, you open your eyes.....

....and find yourself staring at the white fabric of a dress?

This caused you to slightly crane your neck around to get a better idea of what you were seeing....

.....and discovered several things.

One, that the white dress was in fact Kyubi's, freshly mended and cleaned.

Two, you were currently cuddling with her, blankets now layed across the both of you were pressed up against her side, both arms clinging to her waist and head pressed against her upper chest, just above her breasts.

Three, she was currently caressing your hair while you 'slept', and looking down upon your form with that familiar loving/adoring look, though this time it was heavily shaded by stress, concern, and anxiety.

By the look of things, she hasn't noticed your return to 'full' consciousness, continuing her tender, comforting ministrations unabated.
