But... As said, I'm somewhat lacking good Held Items for my Pokemon and am highly curious what can be found within that coal steem.

Now the question remains is that can he view the battle and shout orders to his Pokémon while they are across the gap? If not, I don't see how I'm supposed to complete this Encounter in any way but blinder than a bat like with Chandelure, which I would consider distinctly unfair in this instance since unlike their's more than a good chance both my Pokémon could get greviously injured or DIE if they happen to both know Explosion and/or Stone Edge and Ven can't be on scene to command/recall/heal.

Could Ventus just ask Shiva to loan her Tropius in exchange for Grid as a mount for him to fly/cross over the chasm with his Pokémon, and have her order them to do so in the first place? Ven could also have to use Grid the tie himself to Raphael, have Lucifer use Tail wind, and have his archangel Extreme Speed fly them to the otherside pronto. Which option would be best Iron, if any?

Yeah, you could borrow a Pokemon before the Encounter proper starts. Tropius is the best at bearing airborne weight and is probably the simplest solution.

Okay, just for expedience shake at this point just let's just assume Ventus decides to alert everyone that he's going to take care of the Rocky Duo ahead while they clear the area, and automatically seeks out Shiva to arrange that Tropius will be his ariel mount in that endevour. All of Ven's flying Pokémon (Raphael, Malphena, and Lucifer) will be accompanying him while he travels, and he won't issues orders to his family until the conflict starts. He also won't issue orders to Tropius at all, since he doesn't want to impose on it anymore than he is doing. Roll Initiatives for all!

I'll just transpose this into the Game thread to serve as his orders for the Encounter, alright?
