[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
@Nylon

Are you also going to try catching that Delta Forretress as well? It seems like that Pineco might not be a Delta.

I thought I'd inform the other charas that there's a delta Forretress they can catch, but I don't know if Valder is willing to train and care for it. Maybe if I had realised it was a delta I'd catch it earlier before I ko'd it, but I have only myself to blame for that.
I'm honestly not that interested in the Pineco either, but I'd like to see what's up with it. If anyone wants it he would be happy to give it a better home.

In the games, it only ignores Abilities, but in this TRPG, if anything would force a move to fail, Mold Breaker ignores it.

Opponent used Mist?  That's fine, you can use Growl anyways.  Opponent is a Flying type and/or has Levitate?  You can hit them with a Ground move regardless.  (Funnily enough, this means you can hit Rotom Fan with Ground moves without having to ground it like you have to in the games)

Of course, not sure if that means it will still ignore things like Sturdy's 'Focus Sash' effect and Multiscale like it does in the games (it ignores those because the abilities affect the moves' damage potential, not causes the move to fail...though it also ignores Sturdy because the Ability causes OHKO moves to fail, so...).  So here's another question: Are we going to follow the list on Bulbapedia for the Abilities Mold Breaker ignores, @Iron, or keep a simplified (yet still slightly stronger imo, but only slightly) version that only focuses on nullifying move failures?

I'll stick with the Pokerole interpretation. Mold Breaker won't apply to lack of dice or lack of successes, of course, but your Mist example wouldn't prevent Growl.
It specifically mentions that Mold Breaker overcomes type immunities, so aye, Dragon could hit Fairy and Ground could hit Electric.

Ah, that makes sense.

Is it unaffected by previously used Potions actually, or will it restore all HP no matter what? If things get really really dire, I might just use it at some point.

I have it noted as being unaffected by Potion effectiveness debuffs.  Half of infinity is still infinity, after all.  But yeah, definitely a last resort item since it means you can't use any more potions on that pokemon for the rest of the day...
Correct.

Both the Pineco and the Forretress are deltas. Though I think I may have applied the resistances wrong.

Actually, the air was so moist that it changed the effectiveness of the types. That seems more realistic to me.

Alright, sounds cool.  Looks like they are part of the same evolution line after all, so it looks like you can get a Delta Forretress anyways if you decide to hold on to it.  I'd call that a win for Valder for sure!

That's indeed a question I'm interested to hear your thoughts, Iron:

From the description and mechanics of Silver Wind the move's very similar to Fairy Wind, which Shiva constantly used since Day 1. It's a TM- and Eggmove for Tricwe. Would she...be able to teach that move to it at 4 points in Move Tutoring Speciality? That'd raise the yellow bug's usefulness immediately.

It'll be on her ? list, but knowing Fairy Wind is not enough to be able to tutor Silver Wind.

K, thanks for the clarification! In that case, maybe Shiva can negotiate something with a Bug Catcher she'll search for in order to trade Smore and Harylect to... Maybe, I'm in no hurry. I also missed to ask, but standard 3 Base HP for the pre-evos and 4 for Harylect, correct?

If anyonelse of the party would like to have either a Smore or a Harylect, a deal can be made of course, but if none speaks up I'll assume none's interested.
