[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Looks 10% more cute now with a Kirlia Slipper on its back. (I'm also starting to question this Luxi's Ability.)

It was quite a delightful scene to watch her most beloved Pokemon and this unknown dragony Pokemon interacting with each other. However, unmistakably Shiva got the feeling that not everything was...right. Yet, that is. She has never ever in all her life met a dragon Pokemon that she would call 'shy', not even towards her and her affinity for fairies. Not 'wary', but shy and very polite.

Another smile is gifted to this Pokemon, this one compassionate and kind. "It's alright, Cottonee. You too, small and cute dragon. But listen... Are you enjoying your life in this cavern? Me feels that you, despite the precious tall grass and precious flowers, don't do so fully. But I'm feeling....potential in you, lil' one. I don't know why, but I do. All dragons have some sort of potential, in your case I'm sensing...'something', I'm not quite sure. It feels pleasant however. You deserve to shine, such a cute one that you are...  Am I the first human you've ever met? If not, am I the first human that is friendly and fascinated by you? Maybe it's...fortune that we meet."

A portion of Gourmet Food is also offered to Luxi, not from Shiva's hand to not overdo it accidently but from a tissue depicting the usual Whmisicott dancing between leaves. "For you too. Breakfast!" To show that this food was good and sweet, Shiva does take two pieces from the pile, one she ate herself and one Cottonee took directly and totally unafraid from her hand.

After the training session Heart sit on a rock to wait for the others.

A few Slakoth slowly work their way over. One of them gives Heart a flat shard of mica stone.

Heart looks the little Slakoth. He take the stone, smile to him and say: "Thank you." Heart then begin to examine the stone.

Insight (3) + Knowledge (3) + Alert (2) to notice any detal.

You notice this was probably torn off a bigger hunk of mica. It has random scratched markings on it, but you can't determine any pattern to them.

Yep, Unown Thorn leaves the wall and tries to scoot over onto the page! It's much too large, of course, being bigger than your entire journal. The Futhark are even larger than normal Unown. So it just hovers there next to your journal, waiting to see what happens next.

It doesn't react to the content of the sentences.

Another chuckle from Nathan.

"Well, it's certainly nice to see that enthusiasm.  I've been studying your 'language' if you couldn't tell.  It's thanks to Solomon here that it's even been possible for us to understand it in the first place."

Nathan scribbles something else in his journal.

"If you would humor me for a moment...today's a special day, you know.  The day that we really take the time to appreciate that special bond between friends...I can't help but notice that you're...well, the only one of your kind around at the moment, I guess?  Are there other Elder Unown around somewhere?"

He flips the journal around again.  One page says YES in Elder Unown, the other says NO.  Hopefully 'thorn' gets the idea, since that'll make answering the question easier.

It hesitates, then goes for Yes. Its eye glances down the tunnel Mr. Finder had instructed the party to take.

Yep, you're the first human Luxi has met! When you say 'fortune,' Luxi winks.

Luxi eats, keeping one eye fixed on you the whole time. It doesn't seem unhappy about its current life.

Heart decided to keep the little stone with him. "I might need to ask Ventus or Nathan about this stone."

It hesitates, then goes for Yes. Its eye glances down the tunnel Mr. Finder had instructed the party to take. 

"Alright...so there's more down that way..."

"...here's another question, then.  Are you looking for some friends to help you spell a message of some kind?"

Oh, Shiva doesn't mind it this weird Pokemon being some sort of a...hard nut to crack, to put it bluntly. Dragons usually are stubborn, that she was aware of - but she won't let go now anymore. Occassionally she picks up a piece of the Gourmet Food herself to eat it herself, but 97% of it Luxi are for Luxi to consume. Sharing food with a Pokemon was quite an act of faith for Shiva. Sharing food with a dragon....What was she doing here again?

"Oh no, I wasn't indicating hat you may be unhappy. Not at all! If you're...enjoying life, that's great to hear. But still... Listen to me please. Life with a human may be different for a Pokemon, yes, no lying on this. But it brings chances, opportunities and advantages a wild Pokemon may never or only very rarely experience. That's actually the biggest benefit." Another smile, before Shiva picks up a piece of the Tall Grass from beside her and turns it between her fingers. Very carefully and playfully, she then strokes this Pokemon's green nose.

"Some people keep Pokemon as pets, enjoying each others company and friendship. Some people battle with Pokemon, helping them grow and develop their skills by that. Some others study Pokemon, fueled by a desire to find out more about them. I'm...well, what am I actually? A bit of all three with a tendency to the first type, I'd guess. It fills my heart with joy to care for my Pokemon, beings responsible for their health, food, wellbeing and happiness. You'd get all that for free, nothing a wild Pokemon would ever know. Battling... I've been opposed to it not too long ago, before I realized it's vital for a Pokemon to grow and for the bond between them. Unlocking a Pokemon's potential to shine against others, that's what I've become decent in. Your potential is what intrigues me... Weird how my gut feeling is just 'right' when I don't even know what kind of species you are, huh? Haha, so it's not just you who's meeting someone you've never heard of for the first time."

"Studying... I'm doing that my way, mostly while caring for them. Cottonee here for example was a normal Cottonee when I got her, very neutral about me. Now she has become my most dear Pokemon and I became her most important person. Only few make it this far. Or ask my other Pokemon here, Lilith!" * turning head to her to speak over the shulder or to the side instead of to Luxi* "You've been somewhat sceptical of me at first as well, were you? Wandered off, making me search you. I've always searched for you then. No, we're closer, and you're not worried anymore. You seem to trust me, and there's room to strengthten this bond further."

Back to facing Luxi Shiva goes, a warm smile on her lips again. "Fortune... A unique chance... This is a unique opportunity for the two of us. Another human may or may not meet you, and treat you differently. I'm offering you a home and cudly and warm place to sleep, we can even take some of the Tall Grass with us for a homey feeling. I wouldn't force you to like me, but consider the opportunities, small dragon. What are your thoughts? Want to...give it a chance, maybe?"

The Unown flies to No. In fact, you're getting the impression it doesn't even have or know its purpose until words appear for it to join. Definitely no overarching motivation here.

It sneezes again and gives you a frown.
None of the things you list seem to interest it. It stretches again, eats some more food, and relaxes into a sitting position. Down here, spending most of its time as a statue, is how it's always lived and seems to be just fine for it.

Nathan takes some notes, then flips the journal back around for Unown again.
