[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(06-13-2018, 12:28 PM)Dragonstrike Wrote: I'm working on that story post now, btw.  And yes, Windos, you can expect Kirlia to 'impede' Ventus's departure.

Fair enough, but as I said, he's not going to be a very expressive audience and/or not react at all during and after the tale, and probably leave right afterwards without comment for a nap/prolonged personal time. The only reason he's staying is because he doesn't have he energy and right mood to fight/argue with either Kirlia or Nathan right now, and not because he's intimidated/cowed by either on of them blocking his path, so keep that in mind.

Oh, and unlike everyone else, he doesn't really care for Antheneum, but in more of the apathetic sense than dislike, as his main purpose going their was sealing it and defending it from the Scims, and not looking for any Knowledge/Tech in particular. All those activities there was a nice bonus to him, sure, but by no means is he inclined to explore or stay at his current local any longer than the bare minimum. If he wanted to research, he'd  much prefer traditional, non heavily hidden/guarded/definitely arcane in some way library on the surface, even if those ones are no where near as comprehensive in the scope of what they have available.

Haha, then the timing for you beinginvolutarily less active was right. The library of Telperion University is mentioned to be huge though, so that'll be a proper place to research all the various topics of interest without an arcane undertone - if it'll be acessable for non-students that is.

So, just to ask again since I don't remember seeing you respond to this question yet, was there anything in particular you wanted in exchange for the spare Eviolite?  That's something I'd like to know before I add it to my Inventory tab.

You could offer something, I really don't know what I want.

You want to just arrange for another favor like you did with Spirt/Heart in the meantime, then?  Nothing wrong with an IOU imo.

Which crown, though?  Fire/Steel Crown or Dark/Steel crown?

Flashforwards are always welcome. I'm very much in favor of doing multiple things simultaneously. I don't think anyone should ever worry that participating in a conversation is going to prevent their character from having ample opportunity to do something else - we're not keeping that strict account of time here.

Especially in the Library, where time flows strangely and you have access to a Healing Machine.

That's good to know, thank you! Well, it seems that conversation has already ended while you were away however, lolz. I'll get to post what Shiva's doing next in Atheneum, then get dinner~

But if time flows strangely... Would we in-chara even notice when we're getting tired and it'd be about time to get some sleep, or can we assume that things just continue? o.o I've been also wondering whether you'll let us outplay the whole journey back to the surface or just handwave to that like you did at the end of Chapter I - I'd appreciate the latter, but I'd also like that Shiva can farm some MSC on the way back for crafting these Apricorns into Balls (it can happen automatically however and I'd just add some of that MSC into Inventory).

Whether we do or not, we can rest between activities in the comfy chairs in the Library, so does it particularly matter right now?

Heart also has to go visit Larvesta again on the trip back (and Carbink is close to that point as well).

Right now, Ven doesn't have anything he's looking for in particular in Antheneum, and he's bone tired physically AND emotionally, so he's doing nothing but resting and helping out Valder when he can. That, and since I don't have access to my house's wifi yet, I can't really do any intense or in depth RPing, so him staying out of action is the best course avaliable. If you have anything in mind that my character would be interested in the library despite his weariness/reservations, though, by all means lead him to it Iron.

I'm fine with not autoing the return trip, as we no doubt will Encounter many different trails on the way back due to how much Mt. Sentry re-arranges itself on an daily basis. The fact that Heart and Nathan have preplanned activities and the Scimitars are making their move towards Antheneum certainly requires some active intervention on all our parts!

Hmm, from the way it seems the travel back might certainly bring or need some active intervention - but it'll also take loooong, so maybe we could keep it to mandatory encounters and important things like that Larvesta for Heart and Co.?

I have a few plans for the return trip, but it certainly won't take as long OOC as the inbound trip.
