Well, after the rather fruitless search for Genesect info earlier, Nathan still feels a need to say something to Ventus concerning the topic.  "...there was something on Genesect here, just so you know.  Slaking found it.  He almost had to turn the place upside down to find it, though."  He doesn't yet elaborate further than that, though, and is quite content to walk off for the time being.  The full news can wait until later if it must, when they're all getting ready to leave Atheneum behind.

I'm gonna say Nathan and Kirlia saw that evolution happen for a couple reasons: For one, Valder can't read the Old Unown text, so Nathan being on hand to translate that on the spot is helpful.  Two: Kirlia's happy for Theo, but...also still kinda nervous around him.  Not as nervous as before since Theo's no longer part Dark type (and thus his Night Slashes aren't quite as strong), but...he's definitely still a powerful Steel type.  Still, he's very glad that Theo seems to be happy with the evolution.  (and it also definitely feels a little weird for him, being able to more easily get a read on Theo's emotions now)

(….)

Suprisingly (or not), Ven doesn't react in anyway to information concerning Genesect that was deliberately told in such a tantalizing manner, only staring at them for a moment before nodding his head and letting them walk away unimpeded/depart from their company. He's obviously has a vested interest in the Mythical Bug, but for now it was....subdued by his own reservations and concerns, so he's content to remain blissfully unaware of what Nathan knew about it for now and possibly forever.....

Heart takes notes in his notebook to show to the party later. "Thank you Slowking. Also, I take that Delta Pokemon book please to read okay? When I finish read do I need to give it back?"

"Yes, all reference books must be returned before leaving the Library. It wouldn't do you any good outside the Library anyway."

When you finish reading your one specialty book, you instantly gain a point in that specialty. That's all that happens mechanically. As Dragonstrike mentioned, it may be wise to spend XP FIRST, then use the Library to pick up your 2nd or 3rd point in the specialty. We can help you with the math if you need it.

Here is some info I've typed up about Deltas previously, which Heart now knows in great detail.

You learn there's no limit to the potential number of deltas.
You can see why the Scimitars might be interested in obtaining them, for new moves and abilities.
You learn no one has yet learned to breed them properly, though it might be possible with the right Destiny Knot. You also cannot create a predictable Delta species by mutating a Pokemon, with the possible exception of certain massive energies creating a Steel type Delta.
Delta Pokemon can be stronger or weaker than their counterparts; they can even be the same typing as their counterpart!
Most Deltas shift only one of their two types in Creshire, with some exceptions. In other regions, you yourself have observed that many Pokemon have both types shifted (Delta Metagross, Bulbasaur, Snorlax).
The most common Delta Pokemon in Creshire is a Fighting Type Delta Buneary.

According to science, there's nothing inherently wrong with being a Delta Pokemon, though there are many superstitions about them and some are unpleasant typings like Ghost or Poison. The Deltas in Holon are subject to further mutation, which is a scientifically proven health issue.

There's also a mention of Delta Incense, but the book doesn't say what that is.

Maybe there are records in the Library of Ditto undergoing seemingly random Transformations like this?  No better place to try and look for some than here, right?

Also, now that Nathan has an Eviolite of his own thanks to Valder, he makes sure to also hand Ventus's back to him and get back the Never-Melt Ice. (@Lord Windos)

Nathan has no luck with that, but he's not sure if it's because no such Ditto has ever existed, or because the Library is so crowded with disorganized books.

You find a few vague references to different phases of the moon that might correlate: Herolune is an obvious one. Oddish loves the full moon, too. There's an old legend about a man who became a Zangoose on certain nights when the moon was right.
Other Pokemon associated with the moon are Clefairy, Lunatone, Mightyena, and Houndoom.
There could be other celestial or seasonal patterns involved too.

What better place if not the Aetheum huh? What is inside the Book of Delta Pokemon @Iron? And is Slowking have give Heart some sort of map book of Mt. Sentry?

Nope, they can't locate a map anytime soon. It wouldn't stay up to date without magic anyway.

Shiva does also greatly enjoy the fact that she is able to carry eight Pokemon at once now after having registered Delibird to a Ball of hers, slightly amused that her suspicion of Bill's PC not being able to reach Atheneum like nothing/as easily as the tunnels of Mount Senty turned out to be true. Young Delibird can stay out a little and accompany her, or get to know her other Pokemon. ^^

(So, eh, what are its Stats, Iron? And, can it pull off gifts at random with present?)

Mr. Finder has actually asked Slaking a question and is being plied with books, but he's not letting you guys see any of them.

Delibird can give random gifts with Present, as Plot Device. I will roll 2d6 with the most common items being nearest  a total roll of 7. Items will be appropriate for Delibird's travels.

If not (and regardless), he simply returns it to where he found it and goes to his hammock to brood/ponder over the holy text, trying to decipher the meaning behind it and how he could possible unlock this 'Truth' that the luxuriously fluffly white dragon god has seen fit to seal away from mankind and Pokémon alike...….and if he should in the first place. After all, Reshirim must have had a good reason to do as they did...….hmm.

As with everything, he can use it as long as he's in the Library. If you have any specific questions about what the book says on a particular topic, I will give you some bullet points, but the passages I've already quoted are the ones that seem most important to you and are things you didn't already know. You already know the basic oaths and prayers, obviously, which take up a lot of the book.

Valder doesn't know what to tell Theo, he's thankful for the care.

(I'm performing in a circus/theatre tomorrow and I should go to bed a bit earlier. Good night)

Alright. Sooner or later Slaking will find the key and hand it over, but with a stern look and a warning. "Be very sure you want to open that book before doing so! It looks like a powerful grimoire of some kind. Don't like Crocanaw's cartoonish look fool you. I get the feeling those dark threads tell the real story."

Slaking suddenly notices a dim light glowing above the closed marble doors. "We have visitors." He touches a panel and a one-way peephole opens. You can see an ARMY of Scimitars outside, each wearing a gauntlet. There must be fifty of the robed figures. They are examining the reinstated force field, the steps, the Apricorns, and the Guardians, careful not to touch anything. But some of the Scimitars are firing attacks with a wave of their hand - purple and red and greenish beams of power lancing out to strike the forcefield.

Eventually one knocks on the marble doors and you can see him mouthing, "Hello?"

The eldest Scimitars look like they are about to confront the Guardians.

Slaking: "Hehe, if they get your riddles wrong, they'll be sent right back into the shifting passages of Mt. Sentry. And that shifting will be hastened, and several Onix will be summoned by the vibration. Hooligans." He doesn't seem TOO worried, perhaps because his Library can't get any messier.

"Intriguint. There so many things to learn in the pokemon world. Delta Pokemon to have the same typing as their counterparts. Thas pretty fascinating." Heart makes notes and copies about that information in his notes and journal for future references (same here in the character sheet). "Thats explain why the Delta we have meet until now have only typing change: Delta Onix who changes his Ground-type to his Flying-tpe and Orthros his Dark-type to his Psychic-type. But there is some delta pokemon I noticed have a add typing such the hippopotas we have meet who have the Fire-type along with their Ground-type. This mean there is Delta who have a extra-type instead of a change?"

Heart couldnt hold himself with the excitment with such discovery. He will need to somehow tame his own Delta and begin to research more and more. "So it is possible to make more Delta Pokemon, but only with certain methods and circunstances. Hmm...perhaps I shouldnt share this information with Shiva. As much she is my friend, she dont like much this Delta species thing. Her fear is clear. Well, I dont know if that fear is only towards Orthros (who I not blame her for fear) or the Delta Species in general. Ventus hate towards Ortros is very much evident too, he problably gonna storm me or something."

"Nathan would problably like that bit of information. I think I the only one who really want go deep in that search in the group. *Sigh* The price of knowledge I guess..." Heart then look the book again. "A fighting-type Bunneary? Hmm...that would be interesting to see. Maybe I should try catch one in the near future when we return. For research reasons. If I recall right, the Mega Evolution of Lopunny is Normal/Fighting. I kinda curious to see what kind of typing a Mega Delta Loppuny get. Maybe Fighting/Ghost? That is a rare typing..."

"Artificial Delta Creation...that is a possibility. That would explain why Dagny have a Delta Porygon. Her Porygon was problably expose to high levels of energy who change his properties, and making him change his Normal-type to Steel-type." Heart raise a eyebrow about the information with Delta Incense. "Delta Incense? What is that thing?" Heart was curious and search on the pages of the book but couldnt find it. Then Heart hear about the Scimitars. 'Is their come already?!"

...well, that's certainly...peculiar.  Seems to line up a little too well to be a complete coincidence...but there's not enough evidence to say the correlation is indeed the cause...

...not that Nathan has long to think about that.  He and Kirlia look at each other for a moment.

...this is quite easily one of the scariest moments they've been confronted with to this day since they first met and became friends.  Only the incident with Seikamater tops it so far...there's no way they'll be able to fight their way out of this one if the Scimitars get in...there's way too many of them...

"...and is there a backup plan if they do somehow get in, Slaking?  They're after the Gauntlet and any information on Genesect that they can find...maybe even more besides that..."
