[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
Oh. Well, I'll rather stick with my viewpoint stated here, and will keep silent about this conflict now until GM came by and gave the final word on things.

Besides, @Iron, I'm waiting for your reveal whether Shiva made it to find something about Kobta-tongued Fern in-game - just wanted to give that note to prevent it from being forgotten!

As far as Delta Forretress goes, Windos, I'm fine with making an exception for it provided:

- You tell Nathan it's being traded to Dagny
- And you let Nathan be present during that exchange

Perfectly fine with those conditions, though you may want Nathan hide the HM with someone else/in a secluded locations first before the meeting, just in case Dagney searches both our characters and confiscates it for whatever reason. Being deliberately dodgy about how a Forrestress learned ROCK SMASH is also ideal, and Ven will bring that and the idea of hiding the HM away before the meeting. Liability insurance, and all that.

For Scyther, they can learn Rock Smash AFTER they evolve and receive camp training, since that is within the guidelines you set up and its not all to crucial for them to learn the HM right away. Don't like having to delay it, but I'm willing to do so in this case.

In that case the HM should be hide by a ghost. Perhaps Viktor or Malphena could hide in their bodies since they are ghosts. Both of them hiding in some place with his ethereal bodies.
Kogeki currently ability to active in battles: Anticipation.

I'd also recommend delaying Larvitar and Marowak until we're back on the surface.  Be honest with Nathan about the purpose at that point and I can reasonably have him make the exception IC.

Why delay it, and wouldn't Ven openly telling them those Pokémon were all but going to be illegally sold/acquired not only rile them up badly (like the time they questioned where he got the Dubious Disk), but also implicate them in such a crime? The main reason I want it done now is so that the trades can be done discretely as possible without risking anyone's neck but Ven's , so being honest about Ven selling them on the Black Market to no doubt unscrumpulous persons after hearing Nathan seriously lecture NOT DOING THAT OR BAD STUFF HAPPENS seems....disingenuous and too contrary for it to work IC. IMO, its better to keep this as secretive as possible, to avoid as much backlash as possible.

There's two things I'm worried about IC:

- One: Nathan doesn't know when Ventus caught those Ground types, so the request to teach them the move out of the blue is...questionable
- Two: Marowak has 2 Disobedience and 0 Loyalty

Plus, Iron recommended we delay this.  Probably partially so we can move on with the day without getting hung up on something that can wait.

Ven would tell them that he caught Marowak before the trip to Mt. Sentry, and that Lavitar was caught during the trip, and decided that he wants to capitalize on the chance of teaching them the HM Move for the reason he described. Its sudden, but so is the desire to do so, so its impossible for that action to not seem surprising.

As for Disobedience, Ven IS the Pokémon Disobedience Researcher. He was able to get Apsis not to eat Pokémon even when she was not fully obedient, and Ao Guang mostly listens to him in and out of battle (and is sufficiently cowed whenever Ven gets REALLY steamed), so a simple Marowak isn't going to be a problem for Ven to handle, nor will a Lavitar.

I think I know why Iron wanted to delay it, and I don't believe he'll mind if we can agree to let that happen before hand and with miminal time wasted (AKA: Nathan auto agrees with a small scene about it).

Now you're worrying me a little...

I'd rather not do it right this second.  I don't want to make an exception IC in front of all the other party members when they've agreed to the guidelines.  And I want to do...something else, first.

Ah, in that case I can understand not teaching some of Ven's Pokémon Rock Smash. Appearances and fulfilling other plans needing to be fulfilled are important, after all! Could I bring up why Ven wants Forrestress to learn the move and get that done, though? Regardless, I'll just get Nathan to teach Marowak/Lavitar/Scyther/Forrestress the move later (unless we good on Delta F learning it!).
