[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
There's currently no way to remove a set chant of luck - unless Storyteller could think one up. I'd believe it's not impossible to end it, but it's certainly not easy...

Oh and Lucky Chant should have ended by Round 5, right guys?

Might be a good thing.  Do you think Terra would ease up a little on his own now that he's seen how squishy Nathan is?

Nope.  Lasts the whole scene according to the book.  Great move, Lucky Chant.  (Not that Terra needs to Crit stuff anyways)

Yeap, he would notice you are struggling too much, even in the context of the challenging test he set up, and would start pulling his punches so he can see what you are capable of under fair/more lax conditions. He's still trying to win, though, so if he starts getting pummeled he'll crack the pressure right back on high, so you've been warned!

Boo. Ah well, on with the match!

In case you guys are wondering, Terra can lift up to 294 kg with 5 STR, and Basteele only weighs 252 kg, so what he did was possible!

Wish I had Paralyzed Solomon instead of QA them with Melly, but you live and learn I guess. Hindsight is 20/20, and all that!

Well, if you had wanted to do that, Melly would have had to survive taking a Brine (even accounting for Manectric having 5 Base HP, she didn't).  If I get a (5)+ on Initiative (like Snivy and Solomon just did), you can't go first without a Dex debuff of some kind or Priority.

*Shrugs* Its not like QA did much of anything, and I forgot that Solomon knew/could have possibly known Brine, so before the dice were rolled I though she had decent odds of either doing go damage or Paralysis. As I said, hindsight IS 20/20, especially when you know all the details!

You know, I'm kinda disappointed that Nathan didn't react all that much to Terra's story or his display of Strength, now that I think about it. On the other hand, I do love the scenes with Solomon, so I guess it all balances out in the end.

…...When I go to do a Façade for the first time in ages, the dice backstab me. Lovely.

Actually noticed something rather unfortunate about Forretress's weight: it's just low enough that it's a terrible user of Heavy Slam.  It's a little better at it in the games since the weight comparison is percentage based, but its maximum power for the move in Pokerole is 3 as opposed to 5.  Blegh.

Gyro Ball, however...(unfortunately, Nathan and Valder can't make very good use of this either, so they're both rather gimped as far as STAB moves go for Pineco and Forretress unless Chalkboard has possible alternatives)

Remember when I started the whole thing of Nathan mirroring how Kirlia was feeling?  Yeah, Gallade is rubbing off on Nathan still.

Glad you like the Solomon stuff, cuz more is coming!

At least it's literally impossible to hurt yourself with Absorb, I guess?  Even if you do 1 damage to yourself, you'll heal it back instantly, so...

Huh? From what I read, the move have a base damage of STR + 1, with + 1 Damage Dice being added (up to a Damage Roll of STR + 5) for every 50 kg Basteele weighs over her opponent, and given that most Pokémon are nowhere near as heavy as a Forrestress that means it does bunches most of the time! Snivy would have been smooshed by Heavy Slam, for example!

Terra could make FANTASTIC use of Gyro Ball, especially if he Paralyzes Basteele before hand, but even if Heavy Slam can only do STR + 3 damage at most, its still more than enough between STAB and high STR to brutalize everything short of a Bulky Water/Fire/Electric/Steel/Heavy Rock Monster!

In that case, I would think even stoic Gallade/Nathan would be somewhat impressed with such Strength and cluelessness, but eh.

Will react to their reactions and Mikey's ^&(*^(& Up after I get done posting in my game thread!
