[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

After both your orders are taken, Mr. Mime escorted you both to the deceased Archie Sterling's office you held a discussion with Mew a couple nights prior. Once seated, Lindworm took his time pondering over the topics he wished to broach with you, until he finally spoke up in that calm and polite tones of his.

"The messenger sent to me stated that not only you requested aid my aid, but wished to render it to me as well. I tried to inquire further as to why you desired both of these of me, but she declined and deferred answering to you. Now that we are together, I would like some light shed on those questions of mine, before I deliberate and make any judgement."

He paused for a few seconds after saying that, before continuing in a fainting questioning/curious tone.

"....How exactly did you come to own holdings in this.....hotel. I mean no offense when I say this, but.....all of.....this *waves a hand over all the finery and wealth surrounding you* would be well out of your reach, even with your......flexible means of making a living."

Reiner mulls that over for a second before continuing.

"Well, there are...two things I wanted to ask for your help with.  The first is more immediate, though you're free to decline if you wish, and the second...well, it partially relates to something else.  The first..."

"...recently, trouble unrelated to what I'm supposed to have been doing has been finding me, one way or another, and I've been keeping the messes from getting any worse than they already had been by the time they found me.  This more recent issue, though...it's tough.  I need to head to a seemingly abandoned Nuclear Research Facility downtown for personal reasons.  The place is a fallout zone, and the National Guard is struggling to keep the place quarantined.  I'd rather not touch the place with even a 10 foot pole, but...there's a few things that are requiring me to go there, none of which are even remotely related to my work."

Reiner closes his eyes in thought.

"...myself and two others are prepared to go in there and try to clean the place up a little.  With Erika's permission, I'm allowed to bring one more person and get past the quarantine line with no objections from the authorities.  Unfortunately, I don't know many good Steel and Ghost type users in the area.  That leaves Dragon, Rock, and Ground users, and I think you can probably see where I'm going with this.  Again, you're free to decline helping if you'd rather not put yourself in danger, but if you do decide to help, I've got a bunch of Iodide Tablets to aid the Radiation resistant pokemon in the group and some rather...advanced but bulky body armor that would protect you from both attacks and the radiation, as well as do a decent job of disguising your identity in the short term if that's a concern.  Considering this is a big problem for the city itself, and even the region as a whole if it goes uncontained for long enough, helping deal with this problem would be good for getting a good word in with the Gym Leader and the authorities, and the more well equipped trainers we have while investigating the place, the easier it should be to handle whatever's in there.  Safety in numbers and all that."

Reiner opens his eyes and waits to see Lindworm's response.  We'll get to the next part after dealing with this one.

At the offer to help Evolve his Sliggoo Lindworm snapped out of the odd funk he slipped into, looking up at you with an expression of surprise and....uncertainty. He mulled it over for a bit, mumbling to himself ''Maybe she would stop...………...after evolving?" , before finally coming to a decision and nodding his head.

"Yes.....I would appreciate that greatly. Thank you, Reiner. Hmm....I'm rather impressed that Yang was able to generate such a powerful rainstorm from using Rain Dance, even if the weather conditions at the time were ripe for one...."

Your more or less full (if abridged and edited) explanation concerning the NRF and how......delicate the situation surrounding it caused your fellow exile's eyes to widen to an almost comical size. His skin had also paled to the color of a bedsheets ghost, and his hands where now firmly clenched on the armrests of his chair as he stared at you in utter shock, horror, and indignation.

"By The Dragon Gods above and the Renegade Goddess below, are you telling me that Celadon potentially has a Nuclear Disaster on its hands, and that its only barely being held at bay?! Sweet Dear Rayquaza, is the National Guard or authorities of this city THAT bloody damn incompetent to not be able to handle this that they have to call upon civilians to do their jobs for them?! Those....those.....those...…..!"

He bit off his words at that point, closing his eyes, facepalming, and taking several deep aggravated breaths as he forced himself to calm down, least he start swearing up a storm unbefitting a man of his (former) stature. Fallen from grace or not, he has standards and control over himself, and he would NOT lose either, no matter how much the news unsettled him.

For several minutes he said nothing, as he gathered his wits once more. Then, the excommunicated acolyte removed his and held your gaze, his expression cool, calm, and composed like an Ice type, but his eyes filled with nothing but the most ferocious Dragon fire.

"Count me in. No matter how wise it would be for me to do so, I can not ignore such a monumental threat the NRF poses towards not only Celadon and the entirety of the region, but you as well. Once before, I failed to help you in your time of need, and the horrible, atrocious consequences from the Elder did haunt me to this day. Now......I will not suffer such failure again. We will stand together against the Nuclear Disaster, and we will stamp it out. I promise you this, Reiner..."

He'll gladly accept the Elite Riot Gear Armor from you, though he buy his own Anti Radiation Supplies so as not to unnecessarily leech on yours. [Was definitely wondering where Yin was...can't have Yang without Yin, after all.  Wonder what the two of them think of each other...suppose we might be finding out, right?]

Reiner nods in approval, making only one comment for now to round out the topic.  "If you're going to purchase some supplies of your own, I happen to know a shopkeep who has some for sale."

"The second topic concerns...future plans.  It also happens to involve me potentially helping you.   We can discuss that later, though, after we've dealt with the NRF.  I have a few more last minute preparations I need to make after dinner before we set out.  I need to conduct a trade and have a pokemon of my own to evolve, for example."

Reiner cracks a smile.

"And I definitely think you'll be interested in seeing that evolution."





So, here's the list of things that need to be done before heading to the NRF, as well as the order they will be conducted in:

- Talk to Mew [Gotta be roleplayed, obviously.  There might be some important stuff occurring immediately after this is 'done', too]

- Try calling Taylor again? [Ideally in a private room, obviously]

- Evolving Ridia into a Savage Wyvreon!  Between the component items, Emily's picture of Yang, Hidden Power Dragon, and the remaining stuff which is easy to get on the spot, we should have everything needed!  [Requires a lot of roleplay, obviously.  Reiner will have to talk to Emily and various other characters during this scene for various reasons]

- Evolve Sliggoo into Goodra with Yang's help [Goodra's a hugger, so...yup...she'll definitely be a little stronger, though!]

- Trade the Razor Fang for the GTH Beedrill, then the bee for Frosslad [two birds, one stone.  Three birds if you count putting Fluidity's mind at ease concerning the reversal of Reiner's transformation]

- Update Proton [good time for Lindworm to purchase the anti-radiation supplies he needs]



So, without further adieu...let's get started with task number 1!

...*mental sighing*...I know you're probably not in the mood for talking right now, Mew, but...he wants to talk to you.  Something about a...sheet of some kind, I think?  Honestly, I'm getting a headache just trying to figure out what he means by that, so I'm not going to ask.

Item #1 : Chat with Socio-Mew!

'....……Okay. I'll go chat with Dragonstrike. If you can please refrain from getting into trouble while I am doing so, that would be pleasant, but if you fail to do so it would ultimately not be a problem for me.'

Right off the bat, you could already tell that you once bubbly Mythical partner was no longer so at all. Her mental voice was flatter than a de-electrified Stunfish, had all the warmth and cheer of a apathetic Abominsnow, and was as serious + antiseptic as a germophobic Tyrouge. The Merchant was right to call them 'Sugar Free', as from what you can feel their isn't ANY of the mischievousness, kindness, and (occasionally caustically) optimistic spirt that once filled her to the brim. No, all you could detect within her was just cold, unyielding logic , and a unwavering, unemotional drive to Survive and Succeed in her own goals.

It reminds you a lot of Metagross' personality, but even then the metal crabspider had his own brand of 'emotions' and interests in them. With Mew, she just felt.....empty.

Item #2: Ringing Up Taylor!

You end up heading asking Lindworm if he could step out of the office for a moment so you could make a private phone call, to which he politely acquits to without a qualm.

…Unfortunately for you, all you get back is the same message as last time. Drat!

Item #3 and #4: Evolving Ridia and Sliggoo!

Since you needed a enough space to draw the ritual circle and have your own Loyal Dragons available as insurance against any possible violent temper tantrums from Sister Fiercest post Evolution, you make your way to the Training Room, which has plenty of open room for both the prior mentioned requirements. Lindworm tags along with you, as he was both quietly intrigued/worried about the your own Pokémon's Evolution you alluded to (the way you said it left a lot of room for imagination, and the former acolyte has that in spades), and figuring that you could Evolve....Sliggoo there as well. ...He just hopes that she'll be more...well adjusted after becoming a Goodra, because if not.....*Shudders*

While you prepare the circle and an appropriate aria for the Evolution Ritual, you summon Yang and calmly order them to go over to the battlefield/training area and help assist in your fellow exile's sticky drakeness into Evolving into an even sticker dragoness, to which he accepts without hesitation. Not only because he held great respect for your commands, but because he held much the same feelings for Lindworm as well. After all, they did spring him and his sister from the Dragon Den to see the world, and introduced them to what would be a True Dragon Tamer....

Lindworm took the time to retrieve his slimy snailagon from the PC in the Gym, handling the Pokeball with what you can tell with an odd mix of old fondness, gingerness, and great trepidation, before heading over to the arena where the sparkling serpent had already slithered over to their side of the field. Okay, now you were likely curious about what in the world was making your fellow exile so nervous about his Pokémon, so you paused in you circle completion to watch them summon Sliggo and witness their evolution.....

…and quickly discover the reason, for no sooner after they were fully materialized did the sticky drakeness blink her eyespots, before she swiftly pivoted in place and launched herself straight at her sweet hunk of a master. She barreled straight into his chest and knocked him flat on his back, before proceeding to.....ravage the poor man with more than just friendly kisses and cuddles, coating him with a generous amount of Gooey slime in the process. From what you felt from her, it could be described as Steeled Devotion, the most ardent Faith, a supreme amount of Affection, Joy, and Positivity, and -the emotion/feeling most prominent among the forefront of her mind/mood- pure, unadultered Love for Lindworm. It was extremely and eerily similar to the way Kybui felt about Archie and now you, only Sliggoo's was far more.....upfront and exuberant /go getting with her desires. Which, given her species, was reasonable enough.....barely.

Oh dear....now you could see why the excommunicated acolyte was so hesitate to even admit to her existence if she's like THAT.

The assaulted man in question let out a semi-panicked, semi-disoriented cry as this happened, until he had to cut it off as he desperately tried and failed to get his amorous dragonail off him and cease her molestations. "Ack! *Mouth gets slimed by a kiss from Sligoo* Flbflpflpflp! *Spitoo!* Ha...HA....ha...HA.....S-settle down, Sliggoo, please! Yang and I are about ready to Evolve you, so-*Slimed kissed again* Flbflpflpflpflp!!!"

…Maybe he needs some help with his dragoness. Maybe.

Item #5: Chain Trading!

Once you've sorted out and completed the above Items, you text your bodyguard to meet up with you at the entrance of the A.V. , where you proceed to exchange your Razor for the freshly caught GTH Hornet! I'll leave Arial reaction to Spiritmon, but no doubt the madman is very happy with this Evo. Item in hand now!

You then make your way to the Pokémon Center to meet back up with Fluidity, who was indeed rather pleased/relieved to see you were back to being a male again and in less nervous/anxious spirits! "It gladdens me to see that you've made a safe and full transition back into your original gender, good sir! Tell me, though, did you notice any particular difference in yourself while a female? Anything at all, really, for I could use the data to further improve my research for the shake of everyone interested in such revolutionary technology!"

Moments later, the Odd researcher trades you her Male Frosslass/Frosslad for your freshly caught GTH Beedrill(Which you can rename if you discuss it with him)! The Premier Ball felt cool to the touch, but you could also feel the Ice Lord's calm satisfac tion and interest in you too. Off to a great start, eh? (Want to have a scene with them, or are you just fine with keeping them balled for now? For that matter, what about your other new addition Adam?)

Item #6: Meeting with your Vitriolic Mate/Superior!

After your swap and meet with Fluidity, you go to the ever-present Rocket Nurse and ask her to set up a meeting with Proton for you, to which she straighten right up from her board slouch, hastily nods to you, and scurries of to do as you asked. Wow, you inspire the same promptness/intimidation in others like your future/not future fellow Executives now! Neato!

In the conference room, you wait around in one of the nice cushy chair there for the man of the hour, until the holographic projector whirs to life and the image of the green haired Executive appears in front of you.

A very haggard, grumpy, and wearied green haired Executive, judging by the bags under his eyes and the tired glare he sent you way as he tapped his fingers on his desk.

"Reiner, what the hell do you want....urgh….*Pinches his nose in pain, no doubt from a headache he's feeling; if only he had some aspirin for it....*"

You end up heading asking Lindworm if he could step out of the office for a moment so you could make a private phone call, to which he politely acquits to without a qualm.

Item #3 and #4: Evolving Ridia and Sliggoo!

Since you needed a enough space to draw the ritual circle and have your own Loyal Dragons available as insurance against any possible violent temper tantrums from Sister Fiercest post Evolution, you make your way to the Training Room, which has plenty of open room for both the prior mentioned requirements. Lindworm tags along with you, as he was both quietly intrigued/worried about the your own Pokémon's Evolution you alluded to (the way you said it left a lot of room for imagination, and the former acolyte has that in spades), and figuring that you could Evolve....Sliggoo there as well. ...He just hopes that she'll be more...well adjusted after becoming a Goodra, because if not.....*Shudders*

While you prepare the circle and an appropriate aria for the Evolution Ritual, you summon Yang and calmly order them to go over to the battlefield/training area and help assist in your fellow exile's sticky drakeness into Evolving into an even sticker dragoness, to which he accepts without hesitation. Not only because he held great respect for your commands, but because he held much the same feelings for Lindworm as well. After all, they did spring him and his sister from the Dragon Den to see the world, and introduced them to what would be a True Dragon Tamer....

Lindworm took the time to retrieve his slimy snailagon from the PC in the Gym, handling the Pokeball with what you can tell with an odd mix of old fondness, gingerness, and great trepidation, before heading over to the arena where the sparkling serpent had already slithered over to their side of the field. Okay, now you were likely curious about what in the world was making your fellow exile so nervous about his Pokémon, so you paused in you circle completion to watch them summon Sliggo and witness their evolution.....

…and quickly discover the reason, for no sooner after they were fully materialized did the sticky drakeness blink her eyespots, before she swiftly pivoted in place and launched herself straight at her sweet hunk of a master. She barreled straight into his chest and knocked him flat on his back, before proceeding to.....ravage the poor man with more than just friendly kisses and cuddles, coating him with a generous amount of Gooey slime in the process. From what you felt from her, it could be described as Steeled Devotion, the most ardent Faith, a supreme amount of Affection, Joy, and Positivity, and -the emotion/feeling most prominent among the forefront of her mind/mood- pure, unadultered Love for Lindworm. It was extremely and eerily similar to the way Kybui felt about Archie and now you, only Sliggoo's was far more.....upfront and exuberant /go getting with her desires. Which, given her species, was reasonable enough.....barely.

Oh dear....now you could see why the excommunicated acolyte was so hesitate to even admit to her existence if she's like THAT.

The assaulted man in question let out a semi-panicked, semi-disoriented cry as this happened, until he had to cut it off as he desperately tried and failed to get his amorous dragonail off him and cease her molestations. "Ack! *Mouth gets slimed by a kiss from Sligoo* Flbflpflpflp! *Spitoo!* Ha...HA....ha...HA.....S-settle down, Sliggoo, please! Yang and I are about ready to Evolve you, so-*Slimed kissed again* Flbflpflpflpflp!!!"

…Maybe he needs some help with his dragoness. Maybe.

Item #5: Chain Trading!

Once you've sorted out and completed the above Items, you text your bodyguard to meet up with you at the entrance of the A.V. , where you proceed to exchange your Razor for the freshly caught GTH Hornet! I'll leave Arial reaction to Spiritmon, but no doubt the madman is very happy with this Evo. Item in hand now!

You then make your way to the Pokémon Center to meet back up with Fluidity, who was indeed rather pleased/relieved to see you were back to being a male again and in less nervous/anxious spirits! "It gladdens me to see that you've made a safe and full transition back into your original gender, good sir! Tell me, though, did you notice any particular difference in yourself while a female? Anything at all, really, for I could use the data to further improve my research for the shake of everyone interested in such revolutionary technology!"

Moments later, the Odd researcher trades you her Male Frosslass/Frosslad for your freshly caught GTH Beedrill(Which you can rename if you discuss it with him)! The Premier Ball felt cool to the touch, but you could also feel the Ice Lord's calm satisfac tion and interest in you too. Off to a great start, eh? (Want to have a scene with them, or are you just fine with keeping them balled for now? For that matter, what about your other new addition Adam?)

Item #6: Meeting with your Vitriolic Mate/Superior!

After your swap and meet with Fluidity, you go to the ever-present Rocket Nurse and ask her to set up a meeting with Proton for you, to which she straighten right up from her board slouch, hastily nods to you, and scurries of to do as you asked. Wow, you inspire the same promptness/intimidation in others like your future/not future fellow Executives now! Neato!

In the conference room, you wait around in one of the nice cushy chair there for the man of the hour, until the holographic projector whirs to life and the image of the green haired Executive appears in front of you.

A very haggard, grumpy, and wearied green haired Executive, judging by the bags under his eyes and the tired glare he sent you way as he tapped his fingers on his desk.

"Reiner, what the hell do you want....urgh….*Pinches his nose in pain, no doubt from a headache he's feeling; if only he had some aspirin for it....*"

Arial was indeed truly happy the trade and for finally have the Razor Fang. He couldn't contain his exciting and yell. "Oh yeah! That's more like it! Thank you Reiner! You are the best boss! Durendal, come here please! I have a surprise for ya!" When telling that, Arial look Reiner with a more worry eyes. "Thank you for that Reiner. Its gonna be a little difficult for Riza find a metalic bug, but I guess she can handle herself. Also there is... I must talk with you. Its not about our mission now but it is something...worryi woto say at least."

Items #3 and 4:

Well, before Reiner evolves Ridia, he'll want to fetch Emily and have a quick talk with her (and also potentially show her the evolution).  But that should probably wait until we've dealt with Sliggoo...

Reiner isn't surprised about the...affection Sliggoo is displaying, but he is a little surprised by the...intensity of said affection.  Sliggoo might not be able to see, but he knows the species can definitely hear, so he makes sure to make his next comment loud enough for the draconic slug to pick up on.  "...Sliggoo, you might want to stop embarrassing your trainer by literally suffocating him with affection and actually listen to what he has to say."  That should also definitely indicate to Sliggoo that she and Lindworm aren't alone in this room.  Hopefully that's enough to get her to calm down at least a little...

Item #5:

When Durendal comes over and after Arial hands him the Razor Fang, Reiner says, "You're welcome, by the way.  Just use that fang for a little while instead of another item, and you should evolve eventually."

He levels a narrow eyed stare at Arial next.  "And what has your knickers in a twist this time?" (@Spiritmon)

Item #5.5:

(Note: Reiner's got that same Face Camo disguise he was using earlier active whike talking to Fluidity, obviously. Just so that's clear.)

"Does getting turned into an exact look-alike of my sister count?  Seriously, that felt...way too weird.  Wasn't really that different from my usual self, but in some ways, it certainly felt like I actually was her...*shudder*..."

Oh, and if Fluidity wants to nickname her new GTH Beedrill, she's free to do so.  Reiner doesn't really have any ideas of his own atm, though, and also makes sure to warn Fluidity to be as respectful of the bee's opinion as possible (probably doesn't need to be said, but better safe than sorry)

Sure, let's do a scene with Frosslad, followed byAdam.  Reiner's quite curious about Frosslad too, and it's probably about time he introduced himself to the massive Ferrothorn.  One at a time, though.

Reiner immediately tosses Frosslad a Ranc Berry as a welcome gift upon releasing him.  "Nice to meet ya, Frosslad.  Name's Reiner."

Item #6:

"Well, you certainly look like you've been having just as fun of a week as I've been.  Just wanted to let you know that I'm going to be at the Nuclear Research Facility downtown for a little while.  Don't want anyone to panic while I'm off the grid."

Reiner says it so casually that Proton probably has to double check that he heard that correctly...
