[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole
"WOW, you met Celebi? You're so lucky! Despite living near Celebi Park my whole life, I've never caught a glimpse of that wonderful and possibly-mythical Pokemon! You're so lucky! You're so lucky!! Was it as cute as they say? Is its hair soft? How does it act?" and so on.

"This Seikamater makes me really worried. There are some people I'll need to tell about her. And more than anyone, I'm probably someone who needs to be careful of her! Since I go down in the tunnels so often and all. Bugs, Psychics, and sniffers. Got it." She's careful not to give away what Pokemon she has in her PC.

Heart finds a trainer, age 16, who has been journeying a while and already collected Zamboni's badge. His name is Peter the Snake. "Because I strike so fast!" he laughs. He actually looks like a very ordinary boy, except that he has a healthy glow from spending so much time outside, walking.

Ready for your first two Pokemon.

Anyway, if you are fast, than my pokemon is sturdy. Let me show you something cool." Then Heart takes Percival and Gargryph Pokeballs. "Show you two are made! Percival! And Gargryph!" Then the two sturdy pokemon have come. "Gargryph, I hope you are ready. Lets go!"

"...uh...I'm not sure?  Most of those weren't exactly questions I had on my mind at the time...I was more concerned with some of the more...worldly issues that I might be involved in dealing with in the semi-near future...and with the Solosis that had been enslaved by the Scimitars...she's doing fine now, though.  Free and happier, with her emotions restored.  Back to Celebi, though...she was very polite, and very...passionate about protecting her fellow pokemon, though, I can definitely say that much.  And very concerned about the Scimitars, though she and the other Legends don't have enough reason to take action themselves yet, apparently."

"You got it.  And yeah, definitely be careful.  Seikamater's...not like other Legends.  The good news is that the odds of running into her are very, very low since she lives so far underground, but...be very aware.  Just so you know, the general path we took to her lair was: the upper layers of the Labyrinth, a Coal Biome, a Root Biome and the Sentry Fern's chamber, an Ice Biome, and then Seikamater's Hive.  It took us around 4 days of travel with full 8 hour rests to reach that hive from the surface.  The path has undoubtedly changed significantly by now, but that should give you a rough idea of how deep underground it is."

...

"...well, there's one other big topic here, and it's the Donphan in the room: I do believe that I said I'd give you a good battle when we returned, no?  Up for accepting a gym challenge?"

The simple monk gave the fishy fox a slight smile and a nod of his head, before popping the remaining piece of the apple slice into his mouth. Calm, quiet, and a bit impersonal/mischievous, but kind and caring....much like himself, really (minus the mischievousness). 'A good Pokémon,' he though to himself, as he worked through the rest of his modest meal with slow deliberation.

...

He looked a little confused and uncomfortable as she just stared at him like he said something weird (Which he didn't....or at least he thought so....), thought that cleared away as she revealed where her feelings/staring stemmed from.

"Hmm....outside, and on the ground. Usually with a big blanket and on piles of soft plants, but sometimes rest without them if it got too warm. Didn't head into towns or cities often unless I needed or wanted to, so that is how I have slept for years."

All of that was said with a thoughtful expression on the rugged wander, and in a calm, matter of fact tone that spoke volumes of how he felt about his typical living condition: nothing really special at all. Oh my...

...

"...I prefer 6V6 or 3V3 Single Battles....but a Full Team Double Battle is...acceptable for me. Would be a good....change of pace? (He looks uncertain as he said that, as if he's uncertain those are the right words) , and if make you more comfortable fighting me, more good reasons to....conduct our battle in that format. Our Pokémon battle until either one is Fainted, and the winner it the last one with unFainted Pokemon. No Sleep, No Items except the ones held by our Pokemon, No Switching, OHKO, or Evasion Altering Moves, and No Four Move Limit. We get time before the battle to prep our Pokémon however we want; that does not include Direct Attribute Boosting Moves, but anything else is fine. Those are my terms of battle, Shiva. Are they good ones, and do you have any......suggestions?"

.....Outside on the ground, only with a blanket and soft plants beneath one, aaaarrrrggghhh!
How the simple thought of that gave Shiva cold shivers of discomfort through every fibre of her body was rather understandable and from the look of it, it showed on the outside as it made her almost choke on the last sip of coffee. Yes, she herself did spend a night in Celebi Park with only her Pokemon and a bed of pine needles as matress AND one in the yard of Ginger Town's Daycare beneath the big tree there AND she enjoyed this peacefulness and closure to Mother Nature, but doing so regularly and over an extended time - Nope, thank you, in that case she'd prefer a comfy, soft, warm and clean bed to cuddle into.

Though, on the other hand she's somewhat impressed by Terra living like that. Must be a lifestyle so different from her own one, in practically all means. " ....Weren't you, well, afraid of wild Pokemon approaching you during the nights then? Many are nocturnal, and not all of them are friendly. But the open sky full of stars as a ceiling - that must be an amazing feeling, isn't it...?" *more looking at him, but this time with coy interest*

Pondering about the offered conditions of Introductory Battle for a little, Shiva eventually nods rather hesitant. Something seems to bug her about them while the thought of officially being allowed to use more than four different moves in a battle raises wuite an amount of eager in her. So many nre possibilities open up! "I'm fine with these conditions, yes. But....do we HAVE to battle until the Pokemon faint, Terra? I don't enjoy my Pokemon fainting too much, the Pokemon themselves mostly don't either, it takes a while for them to be up and about again, but if you really want to....... S-so be it then." How most Gym Battles are until fainting as well, Shiva prefers to not think about right now too much, but it greatly adds to her accepting. "Let me just arrange my Team on Bill's PC, then we can head out to find a proper place to have our battle undisturbed. Battling is generally not looked at positively here in town, so we'd have to find a place a little aside. Meeting up at the exit of the Center to find one...?"

Mechanics:
From my side, the battle can start and you can introduce us to our battlefield, Iron!~ I'd prefer it being somewhere on the Routes leading out of Cress City and into the savannah for a particular move of my Pokemon, if possible. I'll be heading to bed then though as it became late, sorry and good night.

Just before that happens, though, and just before Nathan teaches his pokemon Rock Smash...

Quick Flashback!

Nathan shows up in the lobby with Gallade.  Nathan yawns, looks around...

...sees Terra.

Nathan heads on over and gives the portfolio that Ventus had put together back to the big man.  "...there ya go...all done reviewing it...*yawn*...don't mind me...still trying to wake up a little...gonna go...see if Tanuki's available soon...*yawn*..." @Lord Windos

Nathan heads to the PC and fiddles with it for a little bit (this is when he organizes his current team composition and grabs Orthros to teach him, Rhea, and Gallade Rock Smash), then heads to the cafeteria to get some breakfast.  And possibly some kind of beverage to help him shake off his tiredness.

Gallade gives Shiva and Terra a polite nod and follows after Nathan.  Shiva, however, can probably tell that while he's not showing it on the outside, Gallade's feeling a strange mixture of happy excitement and nervous tension for some reason...

For the most part, Shiva doesn't really react to that despite a friendly wishing of a good morning, neither does she feel a need to know why Gallade is feeling this excitement and happiness at the moment. As long as it's not directly targeted at her, all's fine and she returns the psychic fighters greeting with a kind wordless smile of her own.

The portofolio she is all happy to actually not loan and take a look into it, it's Terra's and she would find it mildly disrespectful/not trustworthy towards Ventus to ask for it.

Haha.

Peter tosses out an Arbok and a Pangoro!

Golett: 12
Butterfree: 11
Arbok: (5) + 4 Dex + 3 Survival = 12 -2* = 10
Gargryph: (3) + 7 = 10 -2* = 8
Pangoro: (2) + 7 = 9
Perceval: (1) + 7 = 8
