When Heart was take with low guard, he was quite scared until he reach some place to be firm for now. He see where he is and was quite impress. "Hoho, not bad. This is indeed some nice place." Then Heart try to find the Ambipom. "Huh, you must be quite eager to fight someone, if you caugh me with low guard like that. I like your style! How about we settle a pokemon battle Ambipom? Someone like you could be a awesome pokemon in my team. And some good training against a certain pyschic pokemon of mine. He is quite a prankster like you." Then Heart summon Alphonse to show him. "I guess we find some new prank friend like you Alphonse."

Alphonse: (6) +7 = 13
Ambipom: (4) + 4 Dex + 4 Survival = 12

Ambipom drops Heart onto a branch and swings up to face Hypno, who is struggling a little to balance.

Dex + Athletics -2 : (6)(1) Hypno stays upright.

She DOES has Rock Slide for it to power up, to the point it becomes her most powerful Move regardless of STAB! Mikey could also have used it....were it not for the fact he only had eyes for his Toxic Orb.

When Geodude comes/brought up to him (Genie could only have carried them!), the simple monk gives them the best smile he could muster in this situation (His lips barely twitched upwards, but the severe air him does lighten a tad), offers to give them a ride (IE: Picks them up) if they want, and otherwise doesn't mind their presence much.

Nearly falling flat footed to at punji trap does a far better job of snapping him out of his seriousness, a brief look of surprise and panic flooding his expression, just before valiantly Melly rescues him! He blinks a few times as hit lays on the ground taking in what happened, before he, takes a deep breath, stands up and brushes the dirt of his cargo pants, and then turning and to give his Electric Fenrir a very fond and loving head rub with a clear grin on his face.

"Good doggie. You are going to get half a bag of Marshmallows for this, Melly."

Needless to say, she was plain ecstatic with THAT reward!

Celebration (in the form of Terra being overeagerly being tackled and slobbered by Melly) were interrupted when they all sighted Duskull and the child Nuzleaf it was stalking. Everyone entered back into Serious Mode instantly, as the mountain of a man snapped his arm out and pointed at two, his tone almost grim as the Ghost/Dark types before them as he issued his commands.

"Genie, pin Duskull down. Melly, protect the Nuzleaf, or chase them off, then assist Genie. Go."

Order: Genie will zip off to Duskull and attempting to Grapple them 4 times a 'Round' , while Melly will go off to both Alert and guard/drive away the smol Nuzy. If it runs off, Melly will do her part in making sure that the spooky specter can't escape again by cutting of escape rights and dispelling/warping shadows (Via sparking up electricity.) If it looks like Duskull would escape and its within Terra's Pokeball range, he'll simply try to return them. If Geodude wants to help, that is entirely up to it, as Terra won’t order around a Pokemon that isn’t his own. Time to capture the objective, no matter WHAT.

Using Manectric's electricity to ward off shadows is a great idea. Manectric finds it easier to scare off the little Nuzleaf, which seems rather cowardly when alone. Nuzleaf flees deeper into the forest and if Genie can manage to Grapple Duskull while Manectric is sparking the shadows, Terra will be within range for a Recall.

(6)(5)(1)(3)(2)(6) (6)(3) Duskull was blocked!

(6)(3)(3)(5)(5)(1) (5)(4) Manectric destroys the shadows with a blast of electricity, and also physically blocks access to any walls. Zoooop! Duskull was recaptured, finally!

Manectric and Genie gain 2 more XP. Terra gains 3XP.

Heart also try his best to stay in place. He should have train a bit his atletics skills. "Alphonse! We must make that Ambipom stop of his moves or else he gonna swing from a branch to other! Put him to sleep! Use Nastly Plot! Then go ahead and use Synchronoise 3x! Show your strengh!"

Nastly Plot Accuracy: Insight (3) + Survival (3) + Alert (3) - Actions (4) = 5d6
Effect: Increase user STR.

Synchronoise Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Canalize (3) - Actions (5/6/7) = 6d6/5d6/4d6
Damage: Power (5) + STR (3) + STAB (1) = 9d6
Effect: Area effect and Sounds based. I choose a type (In this case Normal) and this move only affect this type of pokemon. But I want to hold the power of the last Synchronoise. I dont want to faint Ambipom and want to try to capture him with a Steel Ball when he was nearly 1 HP.

Heart uses the Steel Ball.
Seals: (6)(1)
Will: 7 will -2 pain = 5d6 = (5)(2)(4)(2)(3)

Ambipom escapes. Being a steel ball, it doesn't break.

Dex + Athletics -2 for Heart and for Hypno: (2)(1), (5)(4)

Heart falls out of the tree and takes two dice of damage! (1)(2) Luckily, he lands on some of the trees leaves and in a bit of mud. So he takes no damage but now he's muddy.

It's hard to make out exactly what's happening in the battle above.

Hypno is still up there, but he'll make a Loyalty check (5) vs (4)(1). Ok, Hypno will continue to fight even though he's out of Recall distance.

Heart thanks Arceus was gadly for not broke a bone or something. But even so he will need to find some way to get there. "I wish I have brough Rose with me. Her monkey acrobatics would be useful to get there." Heart thinks for a second about what to do. Then he takes two pokeballs and summon Typhon and Natu. Heart then yell to Hypno. "Alphonse! Use your Hypnosis to make Ambipom fall sleep! We must make him stop moving!"

Then Heart look to his two pokemon. "Typhon and Natu. In case Ambipom, Alphonse or both of them fall from the branch of the tree I count with you flying and Levitate abilities to catch them. We must avoid any sort of damage happen to them. Then I going to recall Hypno and capture Ambipom."

Hypnosis! Accuracy: Dex (4) + Fight (4) + Allure (0) + Single Action (2) - Accuracy (4) - Pain (1) = 5d6
Effect: Make the target sleep.

Quote:Gym Leader Tanuki vs Shiva Round 2

"No need to draw this out! We both have more Pokemon to show off!"

Quick Attack 1
12 brawl -3 actions = 9d6
(6)(6)(6)(5)(5)(5)(4)(4)...(6) So close to a Yahtzee or something.
3 Str + 1 STAB + 2 power -4 vit = 2d6
(4)(3) Tropius takes 1 dmg and faints.

"I have a tendency to push my Pokemon harder in battle than is always the best strategy. That's why they're always moving so fast, even when Spinda was already tired! Well, on with the show!"

That went almost too fast for Shiva to watch and definitely too fast for Tropius, but before he succumbed to the bird he let out another and louder huffing sound at it. Hmpf, go and soar the sky as much as you like, featherly bird, but there's only one of us who grows fresh fruit from its neck!!

He allowed his Master to recall him in an instant, gave her a thankful look even before turning into red light and data. Shiva herself was both impressed and terrified by how more or less easily her grassy sauropode has been defeated - but not in a bad way, she was kinda enjoying this battle still! She actually wasn't sure way, maybe probably it's because Tanuki's the opponent. So in the end she couldn't help but to congratulate her. "That went...indeed rather quick. But that was cool!" (o_ _)ノ彡☆

She took a while before having decided on a new companion to continue the battle, watched graceful Pidgeot flying in circles below the ceiling with awe in her eyes all while thinking about Tanuki's words about 'pushing one's Pokemon harder in battle'. That was something she doesn't do too often, only when the situation really requires it. Though she also got the feeling that is the Pokemon is close enough to one, that pushing will only do it well; help it to perform better. She just has to take the step and see how the chosen Pokemon responds......

With that in mind she took a thoughtful look at the Ball - the Pokemon inside must have felt this as she could sense it giving of a confident emotion in response - before summoning it's content in the blink of an eye: One moment later, Pidgeot wasn't alone in the sky anymore as Raphael accompanied them into the air.

Since those Pokemon aren't doing anything too complicated, we'll just use an Insight check with no penalties.

(4)(6)(6)
(3)(6)(3)
They can handle that.

Ambipom Round 2

Hypnosis
(6)(1)(2)(3)

Ambipom fell asleep!

Steel Ball: (4)(5)
Will: (5)(1)(6)(1)

Ambipom was caught!

Happiness: 1, Loyalty: 1, Disobedience: 1
Ability: Pickup (Cost to change to Technician: 20XP)
Baton Pass, Tickle, Fury Swipes, Swift, Double Hit, Nasty Plot, Last Resort

Note on Last Resort: Activates after using three other moves, and locks you into just those three moves + Last Resort for the remainder of the scene.

(Means Pidgeot goes first as they're having a higher Base Speed of that tie. Damnit, so close...)

With the monkey pokemon capture, Heart then could focus in the situation about Hypno. He was still in the top of that tree. Heart then talk with Typhon and Natu. "Could you two please can take out Alphonse from that tree? Since you can fly Natu and you can Levitate Typhon I believe you two can take out Alphonse from that tree."

Mechanic: Take Alphonse out of the top of the tree.
