Shiva can't help but to chuckle a bit over Nathan's blatant suprise that she doesn't outright take Ray for another one of these (for her) BAD Delta Pokemon and therefor denies it and would rather avoid its presence. "Nathan, I know Torren's Delta Pokemon. Most of them. (All bar the Legendaries) Over there, Bubasaur are faelike gemstones capable of using psychic power, with obvious gender differences. This exemplar.... I don't know, maybe it was intuition."

Maybe she's just reliefed that it isn't poisonous, but she still doesn't want to touch or even pet it BUT she actually likes Ray. Regardless how ugly he may look (in my mind, Primal Bulbasaur actually looks alright...) for an outsider. She would not outright flinch if Bulba would come to her on her own in friendly manners however - for whatever reason. 

A wondering, curious expression washes over her upon hearing that this Bulba with the matching nickname knows the flashiest of all moves, even the legendary version of it. "So...? Then he's something special... Take good care of him, alright? Uhm... Sounds like a fine idea to try that move out here to brighten things."

Subliminally, worry strikes her about this plan though, for the reasons stated earlier. Let's hope it'll work out properly...

Nathan has no idea what Shiva's referring to when she mentions Torren...and he has no idea why Delta Species in a different region he's never heard of would have any bearing on what pokemon do or don't have Deltas in Creshire...(as an OOC example, Delta Sunkern.  The one in the Cress Museum is at least partially Rock type due to being related to fossils.  Torren's is Fire/Poison.  I'd also be willing to bet that two Deltas with the same type from different regions also might not necessarily share the same appearance...)

He doesn't voice that, but Shiva would pick up on the confusion that followed the statements about Torren easily enough.

(Haha, would you rather have Shiva being pissed/afraid about another Deltamon from Nathan's side and probably reject and fear Ray here in the scene due to that reason? ^^; I know I don't, especially when her mood would remain grumpy and uncomfortable if being explained that it's no Delta as it'd already be tainted by that point. So naturally I had to play around a little and have have her sixth sense guess that this Bulbasaur is no Delta but one of these weird Primal Pokemon like the Southern Wind Incarnate or that Eevee Prof.Mallorn told her about. It's better this way in this case!)


More coy chuckling behind the pages can be heard by the elusive fae enthusiast upon averting her gaze from that weird Bulbasaur and moving it over to the owner of it. That confusion being visible in his face alongside that 'What the heck are you talking about?? '-response that hits her empathic senses raw and unfettered were - if she'd be allowed to be honest in this case - amusing in it's own way. In a good way though, she wouldn't have expected such a reaction!

Getting up from her squatting position eventually though with the held of her magical fox, it worries her a little that Nathan doesn't seem to respond to her however, her snickering also ceased quickly as she frowned towards the boy. "Uh... Nathan? Are you...okay? Did I say something to you abour your Pokemon that has hurt you? I'm sorry... I, ehm, didn't mean it ill, please don't take it in a bad way. I just had the gut feeling that Ray is a Primal Pokemon, please don't think about the 'why' too much. Not...now, that's no use. Save that energy and time for a better purpose."

She gifts him a very careful smile to express that it's okay from her side as she turns towards the Cave again, but the worry doesn't cease much. This...was not the place or time to overthink, right now there are other and more important things. "Now come on... The longer we wait, the later we will be done with exploring this place. Let us get to it, shall we? We've dwelled here at the entrance long enough already, and it's raining. Have your unique Bulbasaur light the place please, will you?"

...yup, Shiva sorta hit the nail on the head there.  This makes zero sense to Nathan.  No intuition is that good.  He's gonna chalk it up to a lucky guess and/or wishful thinking.

He doesn't answer the question concerning whether Shiva offended him and/or his pokemon.  Now's not the time for that, either.  "...Ray, use FLASH to light up the cave while we're exploring it, please.  I'd rather not get jumped by pokemon hiding in the shadows."

(So, besides the total value of the Stardust Nathan collected and maybe Scrappy Meowth's response to Terra, I think we're ready to move on to the interior of the cave.)

[Iron]

The Stardust is worth $1500. Don't really have anything to add for Scrappy Meowth, he's just following Terra around waiting for a scrap (of food or of fighting).


A blinding Flash lights the cave!

Now you can see a dozen murals on the cave walls, as well as dozens of Pokemon! Most are Unown, two streaming rainbows of the tiny forms from one side of the cave to the other and back again like a Delta Onix, twisting around each other.

Two Duosion were poised to spring on you, but they're now blinded and stumbling around. Curious Solosis hop over around the cave and stick to the walls - about half a dozen of them.

There are two nooks in the back, carved by Pokemon and lined with moss and Deyo. In one, a pitch-black male Umbreon is silhouetted in the Flash, crouching over a young Eevee. It's trembling from that blast of light. In the other nook is a family of Meowth; they look suitably cowed by Flash.

Finally, ANOTHER Primal Bulbasaur stands just outside the circle of Delphox's light, completely unfazed by the legendary Flash.

A few objects glitter in the light, too.

 Don't really have anything to add for Scrappy Meowth, he's just following Terra around waiting for a scrap (of food or of fighting).

(Alrighty, then Terra will offer to name them Tommy, given that their both a dominate fighting male cat, and its also means 'cutting', which this fine feline fighter is very capable of doing! Also, when nobody's looking/listening, he'll offer them some of the meat he's bagged/hunted if they want. Has to take good care of his feline, and that includes feeding it food it'll like! Also, he'll be caught in a Pokeball, and Dunsparse' Egg will be going back to make room for Tommy)

(As for what to do in the cave, I'll have to think on it first, and talk about it in the Meta Thread with Dragonstrike.)

(How high on the wall is the nook with Umbreon-Dad and young Eevee, can Shiva look into it comfortably or is she unable to reach it?)

(Nothing is stopping Shiva from flushing them out, or having her Pokémon lift her up to greet them, if they are too high up!)
