I also have the irrational but compelling urge to have Terra go up to one of them and say hi, and look into those lights to become More than Human. Question is whether or not that be pure suicide, or if Nathan's PTC would be able to wisk them away even if he got caught. Iron?

Irrational is right...that'd be a quick way to get everyone caught, I imagine...I could think of a couple different ways that could happen, too...could also be a free ticket to rolling out another character...I highly doubt much good would come out of gazing deeply into a hypnotic, alien gemstone.  That's just my opinion, though.



For clarification on the PTC: Nathan's PTC doesn't have any control over the lurches, it just seems to allow Nathan to tug on the threads to either delay the lurches or drag additional characters currently in that time period that we've interacted with along with us.

That's mostly your decision, Windos, I've stated in-chara thoughts in my latest post already. Shiva would have to state that starring into these flashes could make one more-than-human, but we can assume that'd happen automatically if you're really up for doing this. What impacts this will have though, even she has no idea, to state it with GM's words.

Well, thus far its not actively being malicos, and its only herding Wild Pokemon thus far from what can be gleened from its/their intentions, so its not automatically a given they'd do Bad Alien Things to Terra if he just decided to be too curious/cordial for his own good. I rather get it laid out if that's even a possibility to try diplomacy/just being friendly with Deoxys by Iron before committing to it, or more accurately, if its a non-Reroll my character option. 

 Even so, I'd still like it if Terra became More than Human, since he doesn't have that stigma against it like Ventus, and he probably wouldn't realize or even care what happened to him, so he's probably going to be staring deeply into those funky gemstones....

Considering that Terra ended up dragged along with everyone in ALL these LURCHES! throught time, its more or less a given he'll be wisked away even if a Deoxys is getting a little too personal with him. Well, so long as he's still alive and/or not perveted enough by the Legendary Alien Contact , anyway.

I dont know man...the few times we meet a Legendary Pokemon, they were trying to kill us (Aka Seikamater and Fake-Mew). I fear something might happen, and not good...but its not like we have much of a choice. Those Clones could attack us, and we cant survive fighting one Legendary Pokemon. Imagine a Legendary AND a bunch of his clones.

But at the same time Terra could become more than just human...its a long shoot, but it still a possibility.

I'm.....honestly at a lose how to act. Terra's not dumb enough to go sacrifice himself in this situation, since he knows it would be useless and Nathan/the others would stop him now, but.....well, what else can be done except hide it out? Or run for the hills?

You've never heard of Deoxys having any time powers, so you think you'd be whisked away. You also don't think you'd have to be right up against the clone to be able to watch those lights - it should work at a reasonable distance, like a few hundred feet. It's not without risk, not at all, but it's not an auto-lose.


You've met more legendaries who aren't trying to kill you than those that are, but Deoxys has an interesting reputation.

If... If that'll be your final decision, Windos, guess we have to live and adapt to it. I can't say that I'm having no bad feeling about this either, but saying that I'm not curious what effects it'll have on Terra would be a blatant lie. I hope that everything work out well for you.

You can assume that Shiva has warned them all from starring into these flashing lights when they were still together if you like so that knows they can turn one to more than human as well, as in-game it's stated that - [to quote GM] ...Shiva suddenly KNOWS that staring into those gems is another way to become More Than Human, but what impacts it might have, she has no idea. ... [quote ends] and she's even more shocked that the mountainous man goes off to watch these lights anyway. She knows that she wouldn't be able to prevent Terra from doing that, so she gifts him a long gaze that feels like a goodbye alongside a soft 'Take care of yourself' before finding shelter in the Ice Cave. Easier to just state that here than making a post in-game!

@PhantomUnderYourDesk : I actually planned on Terra just getting 'hypnotized' by the Deoxys Lights as he was following/chasing after the rest of the group heading towards the cave, but I can easily incorporate that warning if she gave it prior to the flight to Ice Cave. As a result, he probably won't hear hear/see her farewell , unless she stops long enough to tell him before continuing to flee. Sorry...
