[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

"Oh this book?" Spira says pulling out the textbook, (If permitted he'll hand the book to Shiva for her to take a closer look at it, the contents are mostly physiology and "biology" of Ghost Pokemon.) "Got it in Sinnoh before leaving, it was the newest version of the book, the Fourth edition I nedded to get for my Gym training." Upon hearing her eagerness to participate in a double battle with him, Spira chuckles and says "Sure, I'd like to battle with you. I plan to use Noire, Hida, Luna, and Nubi. Just letting you know so you can prepare your choices better." (Not sure if Shiva saw Nubi here.)

(Don't slap me for never having played something from the Mystery Dungeon Series so far D: *goes hiding under a pile of blankets just in case*)

She thankfully accepts that textbook and pages through it with much interest and eager - It's indeed the very same version she's having at home! She owns the edition covering every known Pokemon Type (except Nuclear) of this series, but only has the newest version about those Types she likes or finds interesting or otherwise has a special bond to, positive and negative: That'll probably be Fairy, Grass, Dragon, Poison, Psychic and Eeveelutions.

The mentioning of GYM TRAINING causes her to look up from a page depicting and explaining a Dusknoir's biology and special features to staaaaare at Spira once again with fascination. That guy's full of wonders! "You got trained in a Gym...? A REAL and OFFICIAL Gym?! Whoahw....." Thankfully though, her staring eventually became more silent and disguised admiration, but she's definitely impressed.

Ah, the opening that he WILL join in that Double Battle with her and would even like to do so was all she wished to hear, her eagerness received another small boost. "Aww, thanks for...agreeing! Let us, eh... get started on things right away then if you're ready as well!" She'll nom the remaining fries along the way to the Swimmer couple.

I don't know about Nubi either, let's say yes she saw her, but only briefly. In a Double Battle with two people on each side each participant usually sends out two Pokemon is it's 4vs4 as far as I got it, means two battlers from me and two battlers from you in total, one Pokemon from everyone is battling at the same time = 4 are in total on the battliefield. Does that make sense?

Shiva's first sent out 'Mon is something special, she's definitely curious to see how he does, what he's capable of under her care and how he generally behaves in fights - it's wolf- and huskylike Primal Glaceon. He holds a Lucky Egg which won't influence the battle in any way for a side, so I hope he can keep a hold of that Item for this battle. If not, assume it's removed for this Encounter.

(If that's the case, Spira only uses Noire and Nubi, also Nubi's male.)

Spira goes with Shiva to the trainers, his first Pokemon out being Noire. He temporarily puts Noire's Spell Tag and Nubi's Oran Berry in his bag (the items will be returned after the battle.) (I'm guessing the A-Marowak auto-revived as well?)

Whoops. Excuse me for that blunder! I'll add pronouns to my noted things from now on.

So, from the look of it we're only waiting for your choice of an Encounter, @Spiritmon? The Writer you've expressed interest for (Encounter No.4) is still free while Windos is going for a stop at the Watercolor Artist (Encounter No.2), me and Spira for the Swimmers (Encounter No.3) and Nathan for independant Tutoring.

Besides, Iron, the Gaming Speciality used for Gambling is the same one that's used for playing Chreshire Crash, is that correct? And would there still be time for one or two bets after having engaging in an Encounter or not?

*Yet another flashback, this time in bullet point form!*

- Nathan has no reason to believe Shiva has a pokedex that actually has data on Jungore.  At all.  So he just gives her a brief, basic rundown on the species (and then some) anyways when she asks what its called.  "Jungore.  Species went extinct because it has gold embedded in its body from what I've learned of it, and people are greedy.  Rock/Fighting type, and that is apparently a recent change for this Jungore since he seems to be one of the first Fighting type variants of his species thanks to Jirachi.  Wouldn't have had the opportunity to catch this extinct species if it weren't for Spira's Dusknoir.  Seems Jirachi's gift makes it more likely to encounter pokemon with similar traits if the connections the threads were making was any indication."  Jungore still looks confused.  And Shiva can probably also tell that he's not quite used to being called 'Jungore', despite knowing that Nathan's referring to him whenever that name is said.  Jungore's definitely not used to being around humans yet, for obvious reasons.  But again, he doesn't seem to mind it terribly.

- Nathan's not entirely confident that what Deoxys's gift might eventually do isn't going to be harmful in some way.  He voiced as much already, but Shiva would definitely be picking up on the skepticism the most easily.

- Nathan's also not really super fond of the idea of Terra being the group's bodyguard, which would become apparent to Shiva as soon as she voiced that.  He's relieved Terra's still with them as well, but...not for that reason. Why Nathan's not fond of the idea isn't immediately obvious, though...

"I have a few options with me who might catch your interest. I have three tough Pokemon you might interest in trade my friend. A Overgrown Rhyhorn, pretty sturdy, strong and tough, and know a lot of moves: Head Charge, Fury Attack, Chip Away, Horn Attack, Drill Run, etc. Shieldon, a rare fossil pokemon, who is Steel/Rock and can evolv to Bastiodon, another sturdy pokemon, and know some neat moves: Iron Defence, Metal Sound, Ancient Power, Counter and Sandstorm. And finally Marowak, a Pokemon from Kanto who have the Ground-type. He have Lighting Road as a Ability, and some interesting moves: Bonemerang, Bone Club, Bone Rush, Heabutt, Fling, Tail Whip, along with many other moves. And this pokemon have included a Thick Club."

"They are all strong and sturdy Pokemon, being Rhyhorn the most sturdy about be bigger than most of his kind, and access to many powerfull moves. If you raise him well, he gonna be a strong force."

++ Another small flashback, after that there's nothing anymore from my side to add. Onwards to the Encounters!~ ++

- Shiva has only asked for the species name of this golden Fossil Pokemon. She very well knows that her Almanac is her personal secret - every woman has her secrets, Shiva's no exception, this was one of them. There aren't any plans to reveal this controversial device or her interest in Almanac's Nucleon FosterProgramm to the others, and there won't be some unless there's a good reason. To not arise suspicion or least at all act thankless since she's raised to display well manners, she listens to what Nathan shares with attention and gives him voiced thanks for the information, she does a rather fine job in concealing her raised eyebrow. This is all on that front - she's sure her Almanac has more info that's usually not known to the common people.

- She indeed picks up on both his skeptism as well as disagreement towards Terra's state of being the protector of the group, but unfortunately she doesn't really care for both. She really can't blame Nathan for feeling like this however, that wouldn't be fair in her view. She's having faith in the mountainous - now also steely - monk that he'll handle his newly gained MoreThanHuman-Status gifted by Deoxys well and/or seek aid if something troublesome concerning this arises. This, and it's Terra's job to keep them all safe and protected from harm as well as possible for him, Ventus has paid him for this - Shiva personally is coyly happy to have someone aside from her more experienced Pokemon companions that she can turn to for protection in scary or upriled situations if desired, but she of course can only speak for herself. How he isn't glued to her side but has confidence that she won't bring herself in danger (unless for a good reason like in the warzone for example) is something she values lots.

I guess I should make it up to two bets.

That might be flavored as several different games of various sorts, but i'll just roll the dice twice.

And yep, there's only one Gaming specialty which covers skill games of every kind.

"Well, you will need to work a bit in his disobedience side. He is very much disobedience, but you might be able to find to break his shell with some strong will. Not great conquer is able to do it without some risk. Trust me, I have my count. But nothing like some steel, water or grass don't deal with him. But if you don't feel confident with Rhyhorn, there is Marowak and Shieldon who is strong choices too."

"Then maybe it would be best to trade for Shieldon. That's a very rare Pokemon and it has such a cute little oval face!" She gets to know your Shieldon a little bit before finally agreeing to the trade!

Gotcha! Nidorina was caught!
Heart says goodbye to Shieldon!
Stats as above, except she loses 1 Happiness and 1 Loyalty.
