[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(10-30-2018, 01:47 PM)Mikaruge108 Wrote: for future reference, here are Spira's pokemon on hand and gender:
Noire (Shuppet♀)
Hida (Slugma♂)
Nubi (Misdreavus♂)
Luna (Drifloon♀)
Toya (Dusknoir♂)
A-Marowak(♀)

This makes things much easier, I'd give +1 reputation for that if the Rate Button wouldn't be somewhat broken. :C Maybe at a later point.

Eeeeek, our battle's much more dramatic and tough than I'd expected! This is fun.

Wasn't @Iron referring to A-Marowak as male originally?

All these battles is been awesome until now!

Hmm...so this guy have 4 in Vitality as far I can I see. According to the Core Book, Unfezant have 5 in base HP. So that means that have 4 in vitality. Good thing I have increased the attacking power against that guy pokemon.

This is kinda of a random question but I will ask anyway: Is it truth in the Halloween people go with spooky fantasies and go asking candy around houses in United States? I know its sounds crazy that question but I always curious about that since we dont have that day here in Brazil.

That's called 'trick or treat' and it's a thing here in Central Europe as well, only much less common/popular.

Oh cool. Might be cool have a day to fantasize yourself and go asking candy. I would indeed do that of course. Unfortanely we did not have that day...only the "National Day of Saci". Dont ask why.

Here what a Saci looks like.

Appearantly a Saci ' (...) possesses supernatural powers and makes mischief indoors, especially at night; he is able to turn himself into wind and disguise himself inside an apparently hollow bottle – once an unknowing person opens it, he is free and able to continue his trickery. Aww! This faintly reminds me on a Whimsicott. ^o^

Yeah, T-o-t is a real thing that us United States citizens do on Halloween/October 31st.  Mostly it's the kids who go around to strangers' (sometimes overly) decorated houses to ask them for candy.  Most everyone who participates, young and old, dress up as various monsters, superheroes, animals, anime/videogame characters...whatever the heck they feel like, really!

The holiday actually started out as a traditional day where everyone dressed up as scary stuff to scare away ghosts and ghouls, no candy involved, if you can believe that.  (That's the commonly remembered origin story, anyways)

I'm thinking about putting on a costume tomorrow simply because I can wear one instead of my work clothes, tbh.  Don't get many chances to do that, lol.

To Phantom: Indeed. If they someday make a Pokemon based on Saci, one of his types would be Fairy-type problably since he is very tricky like a Fairy-type too. There are other Brazilean legends here: The headless mule who have fire in the place where her head and was a woman who fall in love with a priest, the boitata who is a serpent with his body in fire who was spirits of animals who die in flood (and was also the inspiration of the creation of Baitato the legendary serpent of sea in Uranium), Iara the mother of the waters who use her voice to atract men to kill in her waters.

And there is one of the most fear: Mapinguari. A giant creature with black bristle with one eye and a giant mouth in his abdomen who devour the head of people. He put a head of a person in his mouth and then eat it slowing. Its a pretty paintful way to die. But there is also many others like the Dry-Body, Curancanga, Curupira and many others. I will stop here because I dont want let people have nightmares ^^"

To Dragonstrike: Interesting. Its a shame we not comemorate here in Brazil such holliday. One of the reasons would because there is some danger from times to times and you cant even walk in the streets with a cell in the hand to much late of the night without the danger about have your things steal D: I would indeed like to live in United States to participate in that Trick-or-Treat for sure. That would be awesome. I think you should go indeed Dragonstrike. These type of holidays is cool to visit.
