[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

More compassion towards Spira upon realizing that she's not the only one who would prefer to continuing snoozing, she'll later offer to share some of her coffee with him.

"Good questions, Miss. I say men, but truth is they were hooded, according to our witnesses. They had no Pokemon out at the time they were witnessed hounding the man...who, according to some witnesses, had already been inside the ruins when the offenders showed up. Conflicting reports." He glances at Flora when he says this.

Hooded...? ........Hooded! .....HOODED! What in Reshiram's holy flame of truth would cause the Scimitars to try trapping a poor gentleman within this place of vivid nightmares, neverending ghosts and Ghost Types and a flood of treasures and loot?? Shiva had no idea. Did they already existed here in 2014? She couldn't know either. Maybe they would. Maybe. Eh...

It takes Shiva a bit to respond as her mind progresses things, this whole thing was awkward and foggy. "Sir, you mean it can't really be possible that someone could safely identify that 'group of strange hooded man'? A good hood usually conceals much of the face.  But, as we are trying to emphasize, we were not close to these Ruins yesterday. You can ask some people at Mamoswine's Diner for some testimony, they'll be able to confirm our stay at the place yesterday. You may also also inquire our Psychic Types to make sure we are speaking the truth, especially one Terra has found and brought up yesterday would confirm that it kept us busy after our stay at the diner."

She'd turn to the woman with the Purugly after having voiced that all calmly, not loosing any of her kindness.  How Terra's still friendly to her is much appreciated by Shiva, a ruccus now would only put them all into a bad light. "If you allow me to ask please, what, well... does make you so sure that one of our group members has, to say it in your words, 'chased that guy into the Ruins'?"

(I'm in class right now, so I will just say Terra I'd somewhat confused by suddenly being woken up and accused of being a criminal, but he is still chill about it enough not to do anything rash + reigns in Nelly too. He's silent for the most part, but he does quietly refute the claim of the group being criminals by saying they were at the dinner and nowhere near the ruins, and shows the receipt he kept from his meals as evidence for his claim if necessary. His general mood is confused, but calm, polite ,and open despite Flora's rough treatment. )

The investigator takes a photo of the receipt. "What do you have to say about that, Flora?"

"Hm, well... It seems like your group is most likely, because I saw those guys run this way! They had heavy packs, like they were going to go camping, so I brought Thrawn to all the campsites on Route 12/13, and here there were five of you! Those guys had maps and surveying equipment and drills and stuff. Thrawn, go through their packs and I bet you'll find that stuff."

Needle to say, Heart was not very pleasant with such actions with the girl called Flore. Even knowing the kicks would not affected Terra anyway, it was pretty much rude. Not only that, but acussing they like that without any proof? Now thats it. He was very much tempt to summon Rose and toast that Flora jerk, but he control himself. "A quick question "Flora". Any of us looks like someone with a hood around here? Or did half of your brain be in you shoes where you kick my friend here? But if you insist so much in that lady Flora and detective Thrawn, you can begin to check my bag to find that surveying equipment and drills. I bet you not going to find anything of the gender."

Shiva gives a very subtle hand gesture to her dear Vaporeon without averting her calm gaze from Flora, because the waterly Eeveelution was almost constantly staring at Shiva she understood immediately - one moment later she gave Heart a light blow in the shin with her mermaid tail in order to kindly ask the PUNisher to try staying polite. They haven't done anything bad nor commited the crime, so there wasn't need to become rude! >o<

Surveying equiptment, drills and the like said in the same breath like the Skull Ruins DOES ring a bell in Shiva's mind, quite a big one even! Though Dizzy wasn't with her when Almanac was appearantly conducting research there in 2017, then when they were traveling to Stair City. Slowly, it began to dawn on her why Celebi may have sent them to this date.

She continues, stays firm. "...No. Please, Flora, did you have the bags checked of everyone you found suspicious on every campsite you visited alongside Detective Thrawn? Simply doing so in our case doesn't sound too fair, before that'll be done I'd like to have proofs or more testimonies from other people. Also, we are a group of traveling trainers on a journey through the region, there's nothing weird with carrying a big or heavy pack on such a journey. There aren't always Pokemon Centers or hotels to spend the night at. Maps are crucial on such a journey, that's nothing that'd make us those you are looking for. Drills and surveying equipment is something various people can carry around, think of foresters, Rangers or Trainers with an interest in geology or archaeology. Even if you'd find such things in our stuff, is that valid enough to convict us? I'm guessing no. Please, try to put yourself in our shoes. ...Detective, what would you say towards that?"

"Flora, take a walk. Take a walk!"

She goes off in a huff, to stand at the edge of the campsite and watching you with her arms crossed.

"Don't worry. I don't suspect your group. Flora is just excitable. You were the first group we've found camping all the way from the Ruins to this point - aside from those who are with me now. They've volunteered to assist. Allow me to introduce Balin and Jill, Scouts Extraordinaire. Ruin Maniac Elminster. And these bikers are Freddi, Bobbi, and Taylor. I've picked them all up from the Ruins to this point, taking their testimony and yes, searching their equipment."

"Flora witnessed a gang of baby Pokemon apparently searching the outskirts of the Ruins. She said they seemed to sight their destination, a man who was also searching the Barrows. They got really excited to see him. Then she saw a group of hooded figures trap him inside by causing doorways to collapse. Perhaps they used their drilling equipment? She ran off and found me. I called it in to the police, but I'm conducting my own investigation."

"Elminster said he's seen those hooded folks, both on the cliffs west of Cress City and in the Ruins. He has a permit to investigate the Barrows during the daytime, and a team of very strong fighters who are good against Ghost types."

"Freddi, Bobbi, and Taylor were camping southwest of Cress City. They've been up and down the Route since the incident, and they think these hooded figures are most likely north of here. But between you and me, I don't think they like Flora, so they might be saying that just to frustrate her."

Okay, now Nathan has to ask what's on his mind.

"...has anyone seen the victim since the incident?  And was there any description of what he looked like? I know it's a little off-topic, but...the Ruins are a dangerous place."

EDIT: Especially since Shiva just mentioned she encountered some baby pokemon that looked like they were injured! Nathan can name someone that attracts those pokemon as if he was a magnet, after all.

Shiva still does keep her calm despite it begins to cost her effort - so much and so serious things so suddenly and so early in the morning are not really her thing. Though if paying attention a very subtle smirk could be recognized in her expression, most prominent when Flora took off in a huff - with this dealt with, she feels like having outwitted this woman and her Purugly solely with words and all politely. It was a great feeling that Shiva instantly enjoyed and even displayed a bit by crossing her arms confidently! Vaporeon makes sure to give that fat cat a light hiss as a 'kind' goodbye. 

Towards the good detective the natural fae enthusiast gives an honest thanks and a smile, followed by good-morning-greets for everyone he introduces. She barely even makes it to keep eye contact with that Nidoqueen for longer than absolutely needed. Instantly, Lilith perks up a bit as if Shiva silently asked her to stick close to her j....j-ust in case! ><;

ANOTHER bell rings in Shiva's mind, she has stopped counting by now - but suddenly she seems to become worried, visibly even. And a bit coy as well. "Sir.... A gang of Baby Pokemon you say? Did, well....did Flora elaborate on these, which species formed this pack for example? Because just yesterday I met a pack of Baby Pokemon along the way from the diner to this campsite...." Sadness arises, Shiva looks a bit beaten upon continuing. "Poor things, they've been in a horrible state. I, well.... Please excuse me that I simply could not let them carry on like nothing happened, I helped them out with a bit of medicine and the flying skill of my Togekiss. But if they appearantly were excited to meet this gentleman...." She doesn't make it to finish this sentance aloud, only smiles a bit to herself in blatant hope that what she did was for good.

She was just about to ask how the mentioned gentleman being the victim in this crime was doing, more out of worry for him and the Baby Pokemon than anythingelse - as well as to add once that has been answered: "North you say? Well, we'll keep any eye open regardless in which direction we end up traveling. Is there anything we can do to help in your own investigations as well, anythingelse we shall look out for? Apart from reporting suspicious things to the police maybe?"

Oh well, and if there's no way to avoid that search of their equipment, Shiva will have no choice but to agree. She won't like it though, and she carries a lot of things with her.

Medicham doesn't seem to care about such trivial things as names. He'll leave it up to you, and answer to any name that isn't insulting.

*Flashback.....sorta!*

For the shake of time and the fact that the plot/day has progress quite a bit by now, I'll just summerize what happens after this.

- Terra's both relieved and grateful that Medicham doesn't raise any sort of fuss about receiving a name, and gives them an thankful bow in return. He then says this: "*Smiles* I am glad. Thank you, for.....giving me the honor to name you.......Maharishi Yogi. Your....nameshake means 'Great Seer' and 'Meditator' , and was the name of a very good guru. *Nods* Think that it fits you very well. What do you think?"

- After that is handled, he wants to ask them exactly what was the matter between them and Gallade/Gothitelle, and then ask them why he dislikes/is wary of them so much. Given that they're Psychic and Terra has been proven to be particularly open to that sorta of power , they should at least convey vague notions/feelings that he could interpret as 'answers'.

- If its possible, Terra would also ask them about what exactly they want to do/what goals they have, and if its possible for him to help them achieve them (IE: Without conflicting with his given role/duties or being literally impossible for him to help, but my character wouldn't say that exactly. More along the lines of how he talked with Michael, really). 

- Finally and unrelated to the above, my chara would actually like to test out the extent of some of Medicham's/Yogi's powers/Moves. First, he'd summon Shiranui and have them aquant themselves with the psychic monk (Insert reaction here), and then have Medicham/Yogi try to use Psych Up to copy their Guts Boost and then use Calm Mind. The idea behind this is that since the + 2 STR from Guts is an Ability Buff, it could possibly stack with Medicham's/Yogi's own Move Buff, but if not, then oh well.

 The second thing I want to test is if it could use its Mind Reader ability to actually read Terra/Shiranui's mind, since unlike Michael they are a Psychic type AND come from a line know for their mental prowess (at least when it comes to meditation). If it works, then Terra has a Pokemon that can actually pluck info from a Pokemon's and/or human's noggin, which is a useful if highly morally ambiguous skill to have!

 Lastly, he'd summon the unconscious form of his Bastiodon, and asks if they can lift it with their Pure Power (Which after Guts and/or Calm Mind Boost should have a Lift STR of between 12 - 16 , or 634 kg to 779 Kg , and Bastiodon wieghs 600 kgs). If they can, he'll then get on top of Bastiond, and ask if they can lift him and it both. Afterwards, he'll try to find a couple of large/heavy enough rocks in the ground, have Angie or Medicham/Yogi to pry it from the ground, and then ask them (Medicham/Yogi) to throw the large rock as far, hard, and fast as he possibly can, one straight into the ground at a distance (Baseball pitch), and one lobbed in an arc (shot put/discus throw), both in a direction away from camp and the road. Here, Terra essentially wants to see what the full extent of their Ability is under his guidance, as aside from a few stunts/occasional aid from Azumarill nothing has really been done to see what exactly a Pokemon can do with such tremendous lifting/muscular power.

That should be all for now, so....

As for the stuff regarding the PI and the coalition of travelers, Terra's doesn't really mind the behavior of Flora (He's suffered worse attitudes before), gives Heart an admonishing glare for being rude back to the lady (For politness' shake and being the bigger person), but beyond that he doesn't  really react or say much, besides offering Thrawn a chance to look through his stuff if he wants (My character wouldn't think about the implications of carrying King's Era Artifacts, and he would keep his extra Pokemon in his pockets/not his Inventory they would check). As for the mention of the Hoods, internally he grows serious and somewhat aggravated as he's fairly sure those blokes are the Scimitars, but on the outside he appears stoic, since he knows that from Ven making a fuss about them doesn't really work out well unless you catch them red handed in the act. That should be all!

Okay, now Nathan has to ask what's on his mind.

EDIT: Especially since Shiva just mentioned she encountered some baby pokemon that looked like they were injured!  Nathan can name someone that attracts those pokemon as if he was a magnet, after all.

"Elminster made a perfunctory search and saw neither the babies nor the victim. I believe the police will probably search as much of the ruins as they can for him, or they may need to escalate it to a Gym Leader. No one else has seen him since Flora. Elminster thinks he may have run deeper into the Ruins."

He's able to confirm that the caravan of Babies is the same one you helped, and he doesn't seem liable to search any bags. 

"I'll give you my card and you can call me in addition to the police if you see anything related to this case. That includes hooded figures or anything Ruins-related. Oh, or drilling/cartography equipment. Anything else you want to know from any of us?"

He'll look through Terra's stuff since you offered, and it might help prove your innocence. He doesn't care about weapons - they're less dangerous than a Pokemon anyway.

Medicham seems to dislike Gallade and Gothitelle because they might meddle in the future. No one is sure yet whether these three Pokemon are at cross-purposes or not, but they're all meddlers and prophets.

When asked about their purposes, they all point southwest. Except Dizzy and Calam, who show up long enough to point north.

I think Shiranui and Yogi would be kindred spirits. The Guts buff won't stack with Medicham's own buffs, but if Shiranui were to buff himself twice using Guts + something else, Yogi could copy that sum with Psych Up.

Mind Reader can read surface emotions, reactions, and intentions. It's not great with language. Sometimes Medicham seems to pick up on the occasional simple thought or simple command, which might also work on a surprised target.

Medicham enjoys these athletic feats, though, and seems a little relieved that his new master is still acting like-minded.
