[Game] Lord Windos' PokeRole Adventure: Celadon City Vandel

For the record, Reiner's not really amused by what Arial said to Riza.

As for TPK...Reiner doesn't really put too much thought into that.  The stress relief is nice and all, but his goal remains unchanged.  The weapon gets put away for now, and will be disposed of very, very soon.

On the plus side, maybe that clearheadedness is enough to reenable the use of Zen State for the time being?

After that exchange/dressing down, events proceed as follows [Because its been such a long time and I'm hazy on exactly what's happen, I find it necessary to summarize/abridge things. Of course this is a good thing, since we'll be getting to the meat of things that much quicker, and can end this campaign of mine sooner rather than later....]:

- Arial leaves the lab room first and tells everyone to get ready to move out, and during this time Reiner has the chance to stash all the Cursed Arms somewhere in there that neither the madman nor any Corrupted Nuclear Pokemon would stumble upon. 

- Everyone proceeds to make the return trip to the NRF Lobby, and.....nothing bad at all happens, other than Alexandria being none to subtly nervous and extremely paranoid behavior (Which isn't unwarranted, given everything that's happened to her), and Lindworm being Alert much more stoically. 

- The bullish woman successfully is able to hack the door silently open, using some tricks nobody in the party is Sciencey/Tech smart enough to figure out how she did it, and are able to enter. In it, you find 3 people on hospital style beds, 2 of them looking dressed as researchers (One males and female) like Alexandria, and one of them dressed as like a doctor (Who looks like a Male version of a Nurse Joy), all alive but in sleeping, and one abnormally lanky + tall looking Lucario, also sleeping. 

Presuming you don't wake any of them, the next thing you would eventually check out would be the computer terminal in the room and the cabinets/lockers/selves full of medical supplies and food. The C.T. is unlocked/still powered, and Reiner (for the shake of simplicity) finds a document/note that pretty much described what happened in here: This Clinic's Doc was treating/checking up on the two researchers when the outbreak happened, and knew that everyone would be rushing to get in here. He then realized that their wasn't enough room/supplies in the Clinic to hold but 2-4 people for any great length of time, and made the judgement call to lock down the Clinic and prevent others from entering to ensure the long term well-being and survival of the people already in his care and himself. 

It goes on to describe that it made him feelincredibly guilty and shitty for doing such a thing, and how his patients/co-workers didn't exactly take his decision all too well, but he/them ultimately concluded it was a necessary evil. He goes on to personally note that despite that he'd turn himself in to the authorities to face his crimes after he and everyone was rescued, as a necessary evil is still evil, and he must be held accountable for all the live he indirectly took. 

After a few weeks passed and it became clear help wasn't going to be arriving quickly (if at all), and knowing that supplies would eventually run out, Doc came up with a stopgap measure to 'fix' that: he'd place himself and the researchers into a medical coma, and have his Lucario watch over/take care of them all while they were in that state. They (the humans) would eat/use far less supplies while put under, and Lucario: (1 just as trained as he was in looking after people/Pokemon, (2 Doesn't need to eat as much as a human + can stretch out supplies by fasting without much danger to its own health, and 3) Was also hyper competent in Fighting, and could trigger its Mega Evolution without needing his direct supervision or a Mega Stone (Explanation: They were Scienced! on!).

He ends by noting he's gotten permission by everyone to do this, his intentions of leaving this C.T. and this document open for the rescuers to read and uncover what's happened, again how deeply he regrets his actions, and how much he hated whomever caused the outbreak and caused the whole mess to begin with.

- While Reiner was reading, Arial stands guard by the entrance to the Clinc with his Pokemon of choice, Alexandria spent the time checking up on the people (Making sure not to wake the Lucario) looking/feeling both relieved, cross, AND confused by their status, while Lindworm rummaged through the medical supplies and took everything of value to the party. In total, he found:

* Three Max Revives
* 12 Revives
* 18 Potions
* 12 Super Potions
* 6 Hyper Potions
* 3 Max Potions
* 20 each of Burn/Ice/Paralyze Heals + Awakenings + Antidotes
* 5 Bottles worth of Iodine Tablets (Each bottle holds 10 each)
* 6 Full Heals
* 6 Sitrus and Oran Berries
* 3 Figi Berries (They Heal 6 HP/3 LD, but can confuse the person if they don't like the flavor on a 3D6 Dice Roll)
* 12 Med Xs (Resets Potions AND Revive Effectiveness)
* 4 TMs, one for Heal Pulse, another for Heal Bell and Refresh, and the last one Psycho Shift Delta (Can transfer Status to an opponent or vice versa; Can inflict Opponents/Users with Multiple Status this way, and user gains either a + 1 STR/DEX/VIT for every Status Transferred onto it this way, which stacks with itself, Item, and Ability Buffs, but not other Move Buffs or an Ally Buff (Buffs do not pass via Baton Pass too); Buffs remain on Pokemon until they are Cured of Status, and grants the user the Ability to target itself with Status Moves.) Heal Bell and Refresh can be taught to any Pokemon, Heal Pulse can be taught to Grass, Bug, Poison, Psychic, Electric, Fairy, and Ghost types, and Psycho Shift restricted to Psychic, Ghost, Dark types (Case by Case), Fairy, and Steel types.
* ~ 6 Units worth of Morphine

In sum: A literally crapton of Medical Supplies, more than enough to keep multiple people and their Pokemon healthy, let alone one! The party has to decide how its split up, but Lindworm would want at least 1/3 of each type of Medical Supply, and at least 1 TM (Nothing specific). Alexandria is a bit leery of you all 're-appropriating' all those supplies, but knows that she both can't stop you and that nobody but the party can really get any use out of them.

[And here is where I'll stop for now, while you/Spiritmon decide on what to do from here! Fun facts, but I planned on steering the party to enter into this place in order to stock them up on supplies since almost nobody did so, and to add another party member to the group that would have been controlled by Mika (The Doc), but....well, that never had the chance to happen. Oh well, it is as they say: the best lay plans often fall into ruin.]

Arial simple whistle with the so much quantity of items found. "Man, thats what I called jackpot! From here we can be ready for whatever is gonna happen! Lets see....I think I will take those items. Unless anyone have complains. Also Reiner, you might want to grab that strange looking TM." Arial point to Psycho Shift Delta. "Its looks like dang useful for your pokemons. I might want to take either Heal Bell, Heal Pulse or Refresh. Unless you want to take both TMs with you. Heal Bell could be useful to you too."

(OOC: trying to plan the getaway sequence/ask if there are any plans for that yet before waking the survivors, because I imagine getting questioned by the NG about the NRF exploding is something Reiner and Arial will probably want to avoid, and if it's going to be a problem that needs to be dealt with, it'll be easier to plan for that now rather than later.  If it's not going to be a problem we have to worry about on the player side, though, then I suppose it's not something we'll have to plan for.)

He also concurs with Lindworm's suggestion to just take 1/3 of the medical supplies each.  "Frankly, this is a 'jackpot' only if you don't have to immediately use all of it to survive.  Fortunately, we don't, so...in any case, probably better in the long run for all three of us if we just split the items as equally as we can." (mind listing out what everyone gets as a result of that for clarity and in the interest of fairness since you'd be an outside party determining how the numbers not divisible by 3 are split, Windos?)

Oh, and before I forget, I just remembered that Reiner gains 1 Will after investigating the lab he found Alexandria in from that 2nd PP Up he drank earlier.  Boom.  Back at 3 Will now.  And thank goodness for that...

The minotauress glanced up from Doc she was pensively/hatefully staring at and gave you somewhat curious and uncertain look, as such a declaration was loaded like a revolver, until she let out a nervous *Sigh* and come over to read over the note. She was scowling the moment she realized who wrote this, her muscles rippling with righteous anger and the barely restrained violence as she resisted the urge to break something or someone. However, her fury slowly diminished as she read on, her frown becoming less and less angry as she learnt why Doc condemned so many of their fellow co-workers, his own incredible guilt over his decision, and plans to save his patients/turn himself in until it disappeared entirely, replaced with an expression of dull and numb surprise.

By the time Alexandria finished scanning the document she was almost completely listless as she stared at the computer terminal, before covering her face with one hand.

"This........is not what I expected. I......need some time to.......process this all. Excuse me."

She muttered this to you (Reiner), before heading over to one of the empty hospital beds and sitting down on it, slightly hunched over as she stared at the floor in troubled thoughtfulness. Not entirely a good reaction, but not a bad one either by any estimate. As she sat down, though, you noticed all the beds were not rooted to the ground, but had wheels attached to them (Like a cart/gurney) . This meant that instead of trying to wake up the people in the medicated coma, you could just bust them out and not deal with that trouble/them. How convenient!

Regarding your brainstorming session, it is during it that Mew decides to chime in, sounding paradoxically non-plussed yet brimming with tension.

' No need to think too hard about our evacuation plans, Reiner. After......executing Genesis Supernova, the ample leftover energy from it will empower me for a short time, long enough to use a mass Teleport to get everyone out of the blast radius and avoid the National Guard. I was going inform you of this later when it came time to blow up the NRF so that we could choose a destination to immediately Teleport to, but since you were thinking about escape plans it was more convenient to tell you now.'

The semi-sociopathic Mythical being then went silent as she resumed concentrating/gathering focus for her upcoming and explosive role. Huh.....well, that makes things infinity easier, eh?

Since you asked for it, Arial, Lindworm, and Reiner each receive 1 Max Revive, 4 Revive, 6 Potions, 4 Super Potions, 2 Hyper Potions, 1 Max Potion, 7 Each of the Status Healing Items (Well, Arial and Reiner get 7, while Lindworm settles for 6), 2 Iodide Bottle (1 for Lindworm), 2 Full Heals/Sitrus Berries/Oran Berries, 1 Figy Berry , 2 Syringes of Morphine (Lindworm doesn't mind owning it) and 4 Med Xs. Reiner gets the Heal Pulse and Psycho Shift Delta TM, Arial gets Heal Bell, while Lindworm takes the leftover Refresh.

As the party finished dividing the Medical Items between themselves, you heard what sounded like a gravely sounding *Ahem*, causing everyone to turn and see the Lucario staring at them all, now standing straight up (they were leaning up against a wall) with crossed arms and frown on its muzzle. Reiner could detect the aural jackal was less than pleased/disappointed with their pilfering, but not enough to warrant rebuttal from them. Beyond that, though, he could feel relief , inquisitiveness, and suspicion from it, before they felt your empathy and startled slightly, then closed off its mind with a mental *Thud!* 

It seems the noise the party made must have woken up Lucario at some point, but you all couldn't tell when exactly. Hmm....

Reiner sighs when he picks up the Lucario's displeasure, but isn't really worried in general.  "...well, nice to see you have some common sense.  No sense in fighting when we're in the middle of an incredibly dangerous fallout zone that none of us want to be in for any longer than necessary, yeah?  Anyways...it's you're lucky day.  We're gonna get ya'll outta here, if you didn't guess that already."  Reiner's certain that the Lucario has picked up that they're not exactly an everyday group of people.  Of course, he's not sure if Lucario was able to determine exactly what makes them so odd before he closed off his mind...(well, if he's familiar with Alexandria already and recognized her, then he definitely knows there's something different about her since her visual appearance has changed significantly...)

In any case, though, he's also fairly certain that Lucario isn't going to cause them any trouble if there's a chance to get everyone out of this building safely, no matter who's doing the rescuing.

Reiner sighs when he picks up the Lucario's displeasure, but isn't really worried in general.  "...well, nice to see you have some common sense.  No sense in fighting when we're in the middle of an incredibly dangerous fallout zone that none of us want to be in for any longer than necessary, yeah?  Anyways...it's you're lucky day.  We're gonna get ya'll outta here, if you didn't guess that already."  Reiner's certain that the Lucario has picked up that they're not exactly an everyday group of people.  Of course, he's not sure if Lucario was able to determine exactly what makes them so odd before he closed off his mind...(well, if he's familiar with Alexandria already and recognized her, then he definitely knows there's something different about her since her visual appearance has changed significantly...)

In any case, though, he's also fairly certain that Lucario isn't going to cause them any trouble if there's a chance to get everyone out of this building safely, no matter who's doing the rescuing.

[Actually, there are Lucario that can drive limos, or more specifically the A.V.'s Lucario's can do that, among a number of other things. This isn't really a spoiler, since Reiner could find out about it pretty easily if he asks/asked.]

They gave you an un-amused, matter of fact look at your initial witticisms , but when you told them you were going to rescue everyone here they closed their eyes, let out a large *Huuufff....* and nodded their head, relief evident in all those gestures. Although you couldn't be certain of it, you figured that the aural jackal indeed presumed one part of the party's goals here, but was wary/on guard/skeptical until such intention was explicitly stated. Perhaps more so that usual after seeing all the Medical Supplies in the Clinic being swiped, but that's a mute point now.

It then looked back at the party with much less displeasure (though its disappointment remained), before turning slighting towards the comatose Doc and the other researchers and motion at them, then the entrance to the Clinic. You don't need your Empathy [or an Alert Roll, for that matter] to know they want to get its charges out of this irradiated hell hole ASAP, but how exactly is still a matter that needs resolution....

Other than that, though, they had no problems with your suggestion, first looking back over at the Doc with a look of distinct concern, then back at you and nodding, and promptly went over to their companion's bed and began getting it ready to move him out. Seeing this and hearing your Plan, Lindworm goes over to assist in the effort with the others, and, a moment or two later, so does Alexandria, looking thoroughly unhappy with.....well, generally everything, so far as you can tell. Of course, everything has been rough on her for a long time, so she has a 'good' reason feel that way.

A short time later, and the whole party exits the Clinic and the NRF in a convoy, with Reiner leading the front, Lucario/Lindworm/Alexandria in the middle escorting the comatose patients, and Arial heading up the rear. Mercifully, nothing mean and/or green jumped out in Ambush, and soon everyone was outside and a moderate distance away from the premises of the once great institution of nuclear science. Lindworm noticeably loosened and relaxed up at that point, going so far as to remove the Riot Gear Helmet and take in a deep breath and letting it all out in a great big *Siiiiiiiiigh* .

"By the Dragon Gods, I'm grateful we're no longer in that infernal place, and that I don't have to wear this stuffy helmet anymore. Hopefully we can all breathe easier now.....or soon enough, after........"

He goes silent at this point, a look of discomfort marring his features as he remembered what was going to take place very shortly. Alexandria, meanwhile, seemed almost incredulous at first , until it sunk in that yes, she was at long last free from that den of corrupted and murderous beasts. Free from living in constant terror and uncertainty, free from death itself and ready to begin her life anew, no matter how strange it has become. She was free. 

As she came to that realization, you (Reiner) could feel a great burden being lifted from her, and visibly she looked about ready to collapse on her knees or on the bed she was pushing, but whether it be the Tauros part of her or just Willpower she did not. The bullish woman gathered herself for a moment, before she walked over to you (Reiner) and gave you a hug (One that was not bone crushing in the least, thank the Dragon Gods!).

"Thank you. Thank you."

That's all she had to say, but nothing need more be said.

Reiner will have to indicate to Lucario that they're not quite done here yet "Don't worry, we're getting outta here ASAP, but there's one more piece of business we need to take care of before we leave.  It won't take long, and a good, strong Teleport will remove all of us from the premises once the job is truly done."

The comments and emotions from everyone probably indicate to Lucario that something BIG is definitely about to happen even before Mew arrives...and the lanky jackal pokemon will probably find the big reveal hard to believe, too...

In any case, Reiner is definitely more than ready to get his groove on again to trigger this ultra powerful Z-move. One Psychic Z-dance and (probably) shocked Lucario coming right up!

Arial grab the Walkie Talkie and talk with Riza right away. "Cat calling Ladybug, cat calling ladybug. Another quick change of plans. You need to get out of the factory right away. Repeating, get out of the factory right away. Grandma gonna teleport us to the warehouses where you live and then nuke part of the factory. Repeating: Go to the warehouses right away, we gonna meet there."

Almost immediately after radioing in you receive a startled and somewhat harried series of chitters in response from the reformed Vampire, before she paused and let out a timid, almost tremulous chitter that vaguely sounded confirmatory, before the radio cut off. Well, that's taken care off! However, Ridia wasn't the only to react to your message, as Lucario's eyes widened at the whole 'nuking the NRF' part in increadulousness as they stared at them, before their head snapped towards Reiner with the same look, as if to ask 'Is he serious?'

Alexandria indeed does take comfort from you pat, and after giving you one last squeeeeeze (That doesn't hurt, but still made you feel a bit crampt), she releases you, giving you a watery but genuine smile before stepping back to join the rest of the party. Despite.......everything that's happened to her as of late, the bullish woman can now finally look towards the future with hope instead of despair, and it was all thanks to you.

Even though your a bad guy, you're not such a bad guy at all, eh?

Your comment towards Lucario served both to mollify and magnify their concerns, as while getting away from the irradiated hell hole that was the NRF ASAP was nothing but a good thing, the phrase 'once the job is truly done' does little to dissaude the notion that the party was going to blow up the NRF to kingdom come.

They didn't get the chance to react, though.

For shortly after giving the double okay, Mew appeared before the party, bring everyone to a stand still as she stared at them all....
