Neat.

Victreebel has 3 Dex and 5 survival and so goes first, barely.

(Welp, four is death, as they say, and since their is four fours.....I gots a bad feeling about this.....)

Noticing that the devouring duo were just ever so slightly faster than his scrappy feline and canine, Terra laid out a plan of action for his partners to take them down pronto.

"Tommy, Fake Out on one of the giant plants, then use Pay Day twice on same one you hit before! If they use Status Move, though, use Taunt on both to stop them!  Anubi, use Nasty Plot during opening Tommy will make, then use many Non-Lethal Blaze Kick as you can on same plant he targeted! These Pokemon are fast, and will eat you if they can, so Faint them quickly and be careful!"

Order: Tommy will use Fake Out on Victreebell M, then fire off Pay Day on them thrice to deal decent damage and generate a small profit, while Anubi hopefully listens to Terra (He has 3 Loyalty vs 4 Disobedience) and uses Nasty Plot while V.M is Flinched and them use Non - Lethal Blaze Kick three times on it (V.M) to incinerate them swiftly and make the Fight a 2 v 1 in Terra's favor. If the Victreebell decide to be tricky with various Powders or other nasty non-Damaging Moves, though, then Tommy will promptly switch to using Taunt over his Pay Days to put an end to those shenanigans. All remaining hits will transferred to V.F , and once they are both Fainted Terra will Paralyze them both with Melly's Thunder Wave and then use as many of his 10 Pokeballs as it takes to catch both of them. Time to wack and burn some terrorizing foliage!

EDIT: If either of Terra's Pokemon takes 4 or more Damage, they'll be getting an Energy Powder, but if one of the Victreebells uses a Status Move , then Terra will use the appropriate Status Healing Item on them (Except Paralysis, as he has no way to cure it). He has 3 Antidotes, 2 Burn Heals, and 3 Chesto Berries, so he's got plenty of healthcare for everyone!

Swablu is very interested in the Primal Altaria down, though Primal Altaria is from a much older time than this. It brings the fluff into the birdhouse and starts reorganizing things to its liking.

Ooh, and it already knows Dragon Pulse and Cotton Guard.  Neat.  We'll make this Swablu female because she's such a sweet, mischievous thing.

Nathan figures the deal's been sealed when Swablu takes the Primal Altaria Down and starts making herself at home.  He chuckles, then rolls a standard pokeball into the batbox.  "Just a little something to make sure we can stay close together since you're coming along.  Don't worry, the birdhouse will come with ya."

Naturally, Swablu's curiosity probably gets the better of her...resulting in a similar situation to what happened with Shiva's Bergmite!  Though instead of being grumpy about it, Swablu's probably just surprised when Nathan lets her back out of it, batbox included.

Which naturally gets a chuckle out of Nathan.  "And there we have it.  Now I can take you and that birdhouse almost anywhere and we can find lots of cool things on our adventures.  I'll definitely have to consider getting a Dragon Fang or two now, thinking about it..."

Calam relaxes a little when it's clear he won't have to chase that tiny little bird.  Back to brooding he goes.

Gallade's still meditating/sparring with Pancham for funsies, and has been doing so the entire time during this encounter, completely unworried about the Swablu that suddenly showed up

Heracross just flits up and down, slurping honey from his fists, watching Neptune get closer and closer and run around and around him. He nonchalantly finishes all the honey from one claw, then at the last moment reaches out and slams Neptune with devastating force.

Heart was very much proud in see his smol water pokemon finally to his new form. He approach Netune and pat his head. "You grow a lot Netune. You have become more stronger than I meet you in the forest. I very proud of you and I promise in make to you a lot of food when we return to our time."

When Heart meet Heracross surrender, he decided to offer a bargain to Heracross. "Do not worry! We will dismiss the Whirlpool! But I have a deal to strike with you! I searching for strong pokemon to join with me, and you yourself looks like quite strong! If you join me, along to be free from that Whirlpool, you will get the chance in battle against stronger foes and great adventures with me! I could unlock your full potential like I did right now with Netune here! What you say?"


Action: Bargain with Heracross in join to Heart team. Heart also ask Netune to reduce the speed of the vortex of water to Heracross don't receive damage! I also using 12 XP to increase my empathy of 2 to 3.

Seems to me like we have a plan for Juni, so assume she's all tied up and being dragged along with at least one of you.

What actions do you want to take in 1005AD?

Spira'll go to the volcano and maybe collect soot, but he'll definitely be spending time there with Hida.

Hida is a simple Pokemon. He enjoys doing simple tasks with Spira. He doesn't stay on task very well, opting instead to leave trails through the soot.

Survival: (4)(3) You collect one unit of soot. It's nice and thick here.

There are other Slugma living on the slopes of the volcano, as well as Torkoal, Heatmor, and Numel. You also see Magmar tracks.

For Rock types, you see all the Roggenrola line, a Rhydon, and some strange fire-adapted Shuckle and Crustle with obsidian carapaces. Looks like humans have been hunting the obsidian Pokes.

Spira finds something to put the soot in, "This handkerchief ought to do." Then Spira sees the other Slugma and a plan begins to hatch, a plan to evolve Hida, that is. "Hida, for now, I'd like you to stay with these other wild Slugma, I'll be back for you soon, that I can promise." Spira then takes particular notice to the obsidian-laced Shuckle, he goes over to observe the variant Pokemon. Not going to engage it in a battle, though.

Hida shrugs and explores a little with the other Slugma.

Shuckle's shell is shiny and black, with little white snowflake patterns. The Pokemon only extrudes the barest nubs of head and legs, waddling along like a Shelgon to avoid the heat. Instead of berries, it seems to be roasting various nuts. A really good smell emanates from the Shuckle.

With that done Spira leaves the volcano, and Hida, then rejoins the group in the nearby rainforest.

After Thrawn/Nathan explained everything regarding Juni's upcoming trail/conviction, Terra fully and ardently agreed with every and ALL of the Scimitar's Pokemon being entrusted in Thrawn's custody,  so much so as to walk over to Shiva and gently placed a hand on their shoulder when she voiced her intension of keeping Togepi, giving her a sympathetic but firm frown.

"......Know you and Raphael want......what is best for Togepi. To make them Happy, and for them to.......grow up right. .....But it is not right to keep them. *Shakes head* Not now. Juni......took bad care of them, and is a.......criminal, but she is still there Trainer. Taking them from her.....it would be stealing, and that is not the right thing to do. *Sighs* ...Even to Juni. *Motions to:* Nathan and Thrawn are right too, Shiva. Togepi will be taken good care of by League, and can......help make sure Juni goes to jail. *Frown deepens* .....If she not.....brought to justice, she will cause bad trouble for us, so we can not let that happen. "

".....So please......please give them to Thrawn. Don't want you to do wrong thing......*Frown deepens further* nor would Ven. Okay?"

The mountain of expression is unwavering throughout his speech, but when he namedropped his boss he couldn't help but feel a little guilty for doing so. He knew  how much they meant to the mystical lass, so using them against her in order to dissuade her from keeping the adorable angel that was Togepi made him feel like a heel for exploiting her feelings like that.

Still, he didn't regret doing it, as he not only was he half certain that neither half of the Vishnu couple would take offense to such tactics (It was....hard to say just how his boss would react to everything, given what he knew about them....), but its was his duty to do everything in his power to protect, safeguard, and make sure nothing bad happened to Shiva, which would only naturally include trying to prevent her from breaking the law AND minimize future threats to her, which Juni would most certainly is one if she got to walk free.

Hopefully things will work for the best, but if not......well, he'll find some way to deal with it.

That blatant unhappiness she managed to pick up from the latter through the sphere was enough to insta-melt her soft heart like a Castliacone under the summer sun. When Shiva felt a hand gently placed onto her shoulder though and met Terra's gaze as she turned around in startle, she couldn't ignore things anymore.

She listened what he told her, but she failed to look at him while doing so. She so wanted to disagree, to fire counter-arguments at his words and state that she just doesn't trust the League in handling smol Togepi well, all they'll do is 'treat them as an evidence for Juni's crime, and the be done with it'. This thought made her rather uncomfortable.

Eventually, she just gave up. But before that, she shakes her head vehemently. "Fine. Lil' Togepi is nothing but evidence to the League, that's not what I'd call 'taken good care', but alright. If that's the choice, I shouldn't...object..." In her voice, immense sadness was audible. "I'm sorry. Detective, take them if you want and need... However, please only under the compromise that you'll keep me updated on these Pokemon of Juni. Let me know when I can...come and see them, alright? Please."

Raphael, probably just as downcasted like Shiva now, gets enveloped into a soft and heartmelting hug by Shiva, she nuzzles his fine feathercoat for comfort. "I'm so sorry, Raphael... It looks like it's just not meant to be now. Not 'now', that is... We'll come back and we WILL bring smol Togepi into our both's care once everything's set and done. Have patience and faith in me, please, despite our hearts may be crying..."

The serene archangel reciprocates the affection, glows a bit in a comforting Morning Sun as well. He does something he has never done before as well, not even while he was still with Ventus: He sings, or to be more specific hums a pleasant and (to Shiva familiar) melody: It's that Fireflies Song Ven has once sang to make her feel better. It's working, and as she can feel her and Raphael's energies/Earthpower aligning, she knows that Raphael will be ready to use a Fairy Type Move in his next battle. (25 of his XP are spent)

Shiva loved it to dwell in this area. It was almost scary how quickly she seems to have 'recovered' from having to leave poor Togepi there. The whole time she sported a small smile, she was interested in simply everything around here; like a child in a toy store would be. The difference was that HERE, Shiva could touch, investigate and take along everything and as much as she wanted without anyone objecting or asking her to calm down, and by no means she'll let such a chance go to waste! Especially since this Great Forest will be logged completely soon. :C

With Tropius', Cottonee's and Lilith's(/Telekinesis) help she gathers a bit of EVERYTHING to take with her, what exactly she'll do with it she can still decide later. About some parts she's already sure, like that Kobra-tongued Fern and the Ivory Nuts, that Aipom Orange was just too cool to leave alone. She'll collect 3 fruit from the Honey Tree with the grassy sauropode's help.

Now, about that Trumbeak Feather: Shiva's amazed by that feather. Finds it incredibly beautiful and worth more than sole money, it's a feather of a soon-extirpated bird! She'd like to have a few strands of it, just enough to make it into a small pendant to add it to her worn talisman consisting of that duskglass shard from the Fortune Hunter, then Terra can have it if he likes to turn it in for profit in 2017.

Purrloin slinks out of the bushes, chewing on something. It hunkers down on a root and watches you without fear. For a few more years, it will still be the top cat in the jungle!

Huuuuuhhh, surely Shiva did spot them! She'd be openly suprised if there wouldn't be any Victrebell hanging around here, all silently she's been watching out for these to not accidently run into these poisonous creatures. She'll wave towards Terra with a slight and thankful smile as he mentioned to go taking care of 'em. "I won't wander off too far. Take your time, and thanks for, eh...dealing with them! And also thank you for that Pecha Berry, how sweet of you." Off he is, while Shiva takes the few minutes of alone to properly sort and pack up what she has gathered.

Far she didn't came me however, as Tropius alerted her of something watching them: Turned out Shiva was startled for no reason, as it was 'just' a curious and confident-looking Purrloin! How adorable it was, Shiva instantly likes the company of this cat. What a Purrloin is doing here in the jungle however, she was innocent about. Perhaps that's where the species natural habitat before having adapted to live within cities? Does this Purrloin look any different from the standard one actually?

For now, Shiva opts to watch this Purrloin as well, being just as fearless as it was. "Hello, you. I mean no harm to you, am just curious. What are you eating there, where did you got that from? I've got a lot of different snacks with me if you're hungry. You look quite capable! I've seen your kind often already, but only with humans and not in a habitat like this. You like it here?"

So basically, what I just heard is that Shiva entirely ignored Nathan's own objections/reasoning.

Even though Terra's was almost exactly the same.

As regretful as it is to say, now we have the IC explanation for why Nathan was so...hesitant to ask Shiva about borrowing Pancham for the Drain Punch tutoring.  And I'm honestly not surprised OOC, either...I don't know if this changes how Shiva reacted to Nathan's request at all, though.  However, even if Nathan can't get Pancham's help, he'd probably get either Viktor or Toya to help out again, so Gallade should definitely still have learned Drain Punch.

Oh, and Nathan does have one thing to say in response to Shiva here:  "...the League might have to be rather impartial in this case, but they won't be indifferent, I can guarantee that much.  And if we can't trust the League, Shiva, then who can we trust?"  It's quiet, barely more than a whisper.  A response isn't expected, as it's (mostly) Nathan commenting to himself.

Nathan and Gallade have essentially walked away from this Juni situation with a lot of questions concerning Shiva, to be perfectly honest...(mostly Gallade, though)
