[Game thread] Skull Ruins Pokerole

Per his usual standard, Terra was up and preparing for the day ahead the moment he heard the church bells chiming, though with the added difficulty of resisting the temptation to lounge around in bed. After all those 'days' of being *LURCHED* through space/time and roughing it all with seasoned/stoic ease, resting in a nice fluffy bed was downright cozy comfort all the more satisfying and hard to part with, but none the less he managed to. Such slothfulness was improper and inexcusable for a rugged wanderer and disciplined, sagely monk as himself, so no sleeping in for him unless absolutely necessary!

After finishing his morning routine, the steely brawler found himself seated at a table in the lobby a short while later, eating a breakfast that consisted of sandwiches and fruit juice with Shiranui and Tommy. The later was sitting in his lap, being carefully/caringly petted (with the tom cat secretly enjoying it) while he was absentmindedly eating while reading over something on his Pokedex with intense scrutiny and some confusion/mystification, judging by his scrunched eyebrows and half narrowed eyes. Such a scene would seems almost nostalgic for most of the group, hmm?

Nathan probably enters the lobby yawning, looking at some notes he took yesterday on the Breeder's License exam material.  Gallade's following as usual, of course, and grabs some seats for him and Nathan at the table Terra's sitting at.  Gallade gives Terra a greeting, of course.  

Once Nathan's grabbed some breakfast, he sits down and also kinda absentmindedly reads, though a yawn escapes every once in a while.  Much like Terra, he's focusing rather intently.

It is now Day 70.

You're awakened by the Cathedral bells, because it's Sunday. Honestly, this might help some of you re-orient yourself in time! You're feeling a little jet lagged.

The day is beautiful, everything is nice and sunny and warm, unlike Virginia which is buried under a foot of snow and ice.

And when the first ray of sunshine touches Shiva's equipment, that Petilil Egg starts to hatch in your arms! Since it's so sunny out, I think this Pokemon will be born with Chlorophpyll. 2/3/0. Only move is Absorb. Looks like this Petilil will be a happy-go-lucky baby!


There's no news yet from any of your contacts on Juni. She's safely in jail.

Heart make sure to take a look on the egg of Moltres and Beldum. "I just hope everything works fine. Take care of eggs it's not a easy job."

Heart also release three of his pokemon: Rose, Typhon and Netune. "Alright everyone. The adventure though time and space maybe have over. But the battles and training continue. We gonna begin this day with a left leg. Rose, let's train your punches. Typhon, work in your eletric discharges. And Netune, try to get used to your new form with a few water guns."

Heart also prepared some food for the rest of his Pokemons. While doing that he look in the PC and found the Rhyhorn there. "*Sigh* I must find a place for you right away."

As the somewhat ominous toll of the Cathedral Bells arives Shiva, she instinctively cuddles up closer into her blanket and her matress of leaves and pine needles, she's still pretty tired. These bells have a melodic chim to her ears - she smiles and blushes a bit while draydreaming about the same Bells being heard to her and Ven's marriage sometime in the far future.

The familiar sound of an eggshell cracking very close to her quickly distract the natural fae enthusiast though, causing her to jolt awake and sit upright within a few seconds. Moments later, a smol and adorable Petilil smiles up to her from her arms!~ She immediately embraces the bulb Pokemon lovingly, it's a very sweet sight in the warm and early rays of sunshine. "Be welcome, lil' Petilil... Nice to see that you're well and healthy!~ I hope you'll enjoy any care from me and will get along well with the various other Grass Types of mine." <3 Shiva much enjoys to have both of Unova's grassy sunny Pokemon in her ranks now. Maybe, if she'd happen to find more than one Sun Stone...?

For now though she'll let Petilil get to know Cottonee a bit, the fluffball helps in introducing her to all the other Pokemon of Master. With her aid Petilil gets to use her first Absorb on a nearby tree! (Does not count as Training) After that it's playtime in the sun, beakfast for all and a bit of grooming and watering for smol Petilil, before Shiva packs her stuff together and waves to her Pokemon to come with her to town. To have room for the new hatchling, Shiva had to send Delphox back to Bill's PC.  Before she would get to the Center though, Shiva turns a different direction and soon it's in sight: Violet Tent!~ She can't deny that she has missed this occult fleemarket a little. "This place's one of my favorite!", she'd explain to Petilil and Purrloin especially, "Up to see what awaits within the tent?" ^-^



Mechanics:
Shiva would pay Violet Tent a visit before she'll venture to the Center, where she'll arrage her party a bit before regrouping with the others and traveling onward.

She mostly wishes to show Petilil and Purrloin this place and see whether there are any new products or special offers.

Do they still sell these purple-banded Premier Balls for 275$? 'Cause I'd like to buy one for Alola Vulpix.
Does Purrloin find anything that would interest her or something in-battle consumable she'd like to hold (Berries are fine)? I'd pay up to 600$.

The mountain of a man nearly missed the psychic knight's greeting, but manages to catch and return it with a smile and wave as they sat down with Nathan. Shiranui raise a hand and gives Gallade an eye smile as they sit, before resuming devouring his trays of sandwiches, while Tommy pays no mind to anyone but his partner. 

Speaking of the boy, he just noticed them right then too, tilting his head curiously as he watch them tiredly read over some notes, before reaching over (if they're sitting right beside him) and gave them a friendly clasp on the shoulder and calm smile.

"Morning, Nate. Sleep........not well? Hm....look tired and......sluggish, so did you not get enough rest?"

Mild concern for the scholarly trainer could be heard as Terra inquired, but that changed as he moved on to discuss other topics.

"What are you reading? *Peeks at notes* Looks.......complicated. And wordy."

"Mm......Can I ask you a favor? Need to go to Stair and drop off my Duskull at......Shelter for their camp training. *Pauses, looking thoughtful* .....Mawile should go too, since she can be big trouble maker. *Looks back Nathan* Well? *Beat* ......Please?"

"*Pause, looking.....thoughtful and frowning* .....Oh, and.....want to you about some.....other stuff. Now, or later. In private. Okay....?"

The graveyard in Cress is normally a peaceful place, with just a few Gastly around once it starts getting dark. Shiva caught some Marowak in there last time.

Spira glimpses the usual Gastly, and a Vullaby flying back and forth between the Cathedral and the graveyard. A Houndour howls on the outskirts of town.

By now you've heard that all the truly spooky Pokemon live in the Skull Ruins.

Regardless of the time slot that Spira went to the graveyard, after watching the Gastly for a bit he gets his stuff together and gets ready to leave town after finding out how/where to get a permit to check out the Skull Ruins.

Spira will do the aforementioned Skull ruins info-gathering as well as finding out about any obedience training that he could put the A-Marowak in.

Rose and Neptune gain 2XP.

Typhon gains the 2Xp and also a Canalize roll, but using Knowledge instead of Fight since he's a rather scientific Pokemon.

(5)(1)(4)(2)(4)(2) (5)(4)(4)(5)(3) = 7 bonus XP. Typhon enjoys creating little powerstorms in this quiet city.

The Violet Tent does still sell the Premier Balls.

Purrloin has her eye on a funny little bird crafted from several Berries stuck together with thorns. This'll cost $600 if Purrloin doesn't manage to steal it. You can rearrange the bird so that any one of the following Berries is available for battle as a held item: a big Oran Berry body, Chesto Berry tail, and a Rawst Berry making up the head and beak.

When Purrloin eats a Berry from this item in battle, she can choose to either Unburden herself now, or delay it for later (dropping the rest of the bird for another Scene).

Regardless of the time slot that Spira went to the graveyard, after watching the Gastly for a bit he gets his stuff together and gets ready to leave town after finding out how/where to get a permit to check out the Skull Ruins.

It's much harder to find obedience training for a 4-disobedience Pokemon. There's nowhere in Cress that does it.
Almanac advertises a service that can do it for $4000 - it will add two points of Loyalty up to a cap. You already know their methods may not be very ethical.
Telperion University has ways to do it. It's expensive but you can get grants if you let them use your Pokemon in research (which IS ethical). It also takes longer than Adventure Camp. 


To get a Skull Ruins Permit, you need to send a letter to the League base in Forb City. This letter must detail your qualifications, your intended Pokemon team, and a very good reason for going inside. Also which sectors you intend to visit, so they can come rescue you if they decide it's worth it.
