[Meta thread] Iron's PokeRole Adventure: The Skull Ruins
(12-11-2018, 01:50 PM)Iron Wrote: Btw, your Pokemon will be able to Teleport to the campsite on the way to Teazel Valley, because you've experienced that area in so many different times and even made some emotional connections there like the Eggs.

If the party doesn't have enough Teleporters I will have Tanuki loan you her Teleporting Wigglytuff. It's been up and down that Route a few times.

Let's see...the Teleporters we have are...

- Gallade
- Nathan's Ditto (most of the time)
- Shiva's Ditto
- Helios
- Natu

So we would have enough Teleporters for one trip for the whole group, but if and only if both Nathan's Ditto is capable of Transforming into a Teleporter for the day and Nathan and Shiva dedicate two party slots to it.

No, I'm set on my party already. Sorry, no changing it from my side!

I think I have enough money to buy a Breeder License of 1750 and a Speed Up incubator. All those travels though time and space helped quite a lot.

I've been thinking about the "Fast Travel" options available to Spira w/o outside help:
1)Luna: If/when she evolves to Drifblim, if GM permits, she can learn HM02, Fly
2)Toya: This one is a little more weirder; transference through the part of the Ghost World that lies between two points, would also probably require GM approval.

1) She can definitely learn FLY once she evolves.  All HMs are teachable to all pokemon that can learn them in the games.  The problem is those HMs are legendarily rare, plus ultra powerful.  The good news is we have a rough idea of where the FLY HM is.

Unfortunately, the only Ghost type that can learn Teleport is Lunala, and we're definitely not seeing that pokemon in this campaign.  And for a non-Psychic type to be able to learn Teleport, you need some kind of Surprise or a super rare TM that only works on select pokemon from the Kanto region.

Just making an observation, not asking anything.

Besides, Ditto's stuck as a Mightyena today anyways, so both requirements couldn't be fulfilled regardless.

I would let you spend...hmm...12XP+25XP = 37XP. To learn Teleport on Toya. That comes with all the usual restrictions like only being able to Teleport to nearby Pokemon Centers and a weariness limit.

If you want a nastier ability to Ghost World into dangerous situations and carry a Trainer along, that would be 75XP. It's cool, so I hope you decide to work toward it! This ability would have the range of Teleport, but it could still only go to places you've been before, and could only be used a handful of times a day.
Toya (and Trevenant, etc) can already walk through walls, but they can't bring a Trainer along.

If Gallade etc want to remove their own peacable restrictions on Teleport, they could pay the difference - 38XP.

Fly is still very superior because it can go places you've never been before and can be used an infinite number of times per day, PLUS it's very useful in battles.

If all else fails for traveling, Terra has Angie and Genie for himself (Genie) and 2-3 other people to ride (on Angie), which in conjunction with Agility should get everyone to TV relatively quickly. Somebody would have to hoof it, but that person or persons could just Teleport to the campsite, wait for non-Teleporters to arrive there, and then everyone continues along the rest of the Route like normal.....hopefully. Sounds good, mates?

Sure. But I was thinking in something: Heart have too a flying pokemon with him (D-ONIX). How about a little race to see who get there first? It could also made something different in this adventure and maybe help Heart and Terra get along a little better.

Those eggs are at the Shelter for Disobedient Pokemon in Stair City.

Spira is currently in Cress City.  Can't inquire about that strange egg IC quite yet.
