There's a few things on the test that were less practical and more theoretical, and Nathan didn't get all of those. Some of them he was able to deduce even though he'd never studied those topics before. He got everything that was practical, so he ended up with maybe an 88% on this somewhat stringent test. That's considered pretty good but not a score that would catch a university's attention.

Plenty of people in Cress would take those Dwebble shells, so that can be automatic.

D?-Tropius gains 1 point of Loyalty. She loves having a massive moveset, both destructive and defensive. To gain that final point for obedience, you're gonna need something more special.

Cool.  Nathan wasn't really going for an amazing score, he just didn't want to pass with the bare minimum.

Great, more funds to work with!

Hooray, progress!  And I think this calls for...a nickname!  How about...Sentry?  (Reasoning: she reminds me a little of a DnD character of the same name from the High Rollers series.  Plus, Nathan found the fossil in Mt. Sentry, so it's also somewhat reflective of that)

And while I'm at it, I think I have a nickname for Swablu as well: Kumo (which is Japanese for 'cloud').

So, what do you/they think of those nicknames?

Now then, time for the shopping list!
- 1 Paralyz Heal ($200)
- 1 Dragon Fang ($4000)
- 1 Revive ($1500)
- 2 Ultra Balls ($2400)

Also, outta curiosity, what trades would be offered in exchange for Seviper and Marowak (holding a Thick Club)?

And finally, Nathan's party of 6 for the trip to Teazel Valley, not including the Dratini Egg now that Nathan has a Breeder's License:
- Gallade
- Swiftfire
- Zippy
- Princess
- Orthros
- Emolga

Kumo sounds cute, and Sentry sounds suitably intimidating!

Marowak with 2 disobedience and a Thick Club is worth about 2000$. I mentioned a long time ago a trainer in the Violent Tent who was trying to trade a Bidoof with 8th-generation Rock Smash and Cut, very diluted HMs, for a Marowak. That's still available.
Not a good enough Pokemon to be worth a TM.

Seviper is super disobedient but somewhat rare. The only place you could trade it in Cress is the Violet Tent. Could be worth a common TM or about $4000. In the Violet Tent you'd be more likely to get mystical, witchy things as a trade. Someone would trade you their Jigglypuff who is good at providing sound effects and mood music. In her booth, the Jigglypuff is crooning something like this.

Hmmmm...and what are the stats on those pokemon after trading out of curiosity?

Lessons are interesting, and......want to get smarter in.....more......areas? Is that right.....saying, Nathan?"

Well well! Terra's taken up educating himself, despite his own lack of faith and confidence in his intelligence! What could have brought that about, I wonder.....

(...)

Terra isn't even phased or bothered when Mightto is summoned from his Pokeball and 'declares' that its current seemingly form is unTransformable atm, only offering them a smile and a handful of marshmallows that weren't there a moment ago. It's as if they seemingly materialized in his hand by the mere presense of a good doggie....or he just grabbed them from his Inventory while Nathan was distracted. Either or!

Regardless, the rugged wanderer is grateful that the boy allowed him to borrow his Gallade for the job instead, offering both a simple "Thank you," and a bow of his head. In exchange for this loan, Terra leaves them with Angie temporarily (Whom he gotten out of his PC earlier and replaced Genie [again]), offering them a small smile and chuckle as he did so.

"Angie has wanted to......meet with you after Evolving, so this is good time for that. Don't try to order her around without.....her permission. Has become.....more prideful and aloof with Evolution, so she will not listen if you try to......command her. She is still sweet and kind, though, so should be no problem playing with her *Shrugs* but told her to behave with you, just in case. *Smiles wider* Have fun."

With that said, Terra departs from the Center and makes his way to Stair City and the Disobedience Shelter, were upon he uses their PC to re-organize his party get Duskull and Mawile in it to hand over to the receptionist/whoever is in charge of Camp Training, before reforming his party to the following: Michael, Lapis Lazuli, Genie, Tommy, Bastiodon, and Gallade (Temporarily). I recall that the supervisor might raise objections of taking in a Skull Ruins Ghost for behavioral therapy, and a voracious and tricky Fairy type might be no better than the former, but the sagely monk will derail any such protest by placing their Pokeballs and $3600 Poke required for both their Camp trip on the desk in front of said supervisor with a *THUD* , and just calmly staring at them expectingly. He has the money, the need to spend it, his partners are within their Camp acceptance parameters, and the Shelter was always looking for more funds, so....

Also, what sort of notable Eggs are being house by the Shelter at this time? Might as well ask, while's the rugged wanderer is still there!

Once everything at the Shelter is taken care of, the rugged wanderer immediately Teleports back to Cress, texts Nathan to meet up with him at the Center, and when they arrive they will switch Angie and Gallade back to their original trainers. Terra will then wait on everyone else to gather up and depart to their next destination alongside them, as he has nothing else that need be done in Cress/anywhere else. Simple as that!

Final Team Composition for Departure: Michael, Lapis Lazuli, Genie, Angie, Bastiodon, and Tommy.

As for Nathan's acceptance of his requested private meeting later on, the steely brawler just nods his head, finishes breakfast with his Pokemon, and does the above scene(s) regarding Teleservices. That is all!

(Ready to get moving, mates! This'll be my last post for the day, though, but I'll post any Encounter choices/preferences of mine in the Meta Thread, so no worries!)

Well, that first comment is a slightly awkward topic for Nathan...

"...well, uh...pokemon breeding is just one part of ranching, really...a good portion of the horses my mom works with are ones she's bred herself...*ahem*...one of the more useful things having the license allows is letting you carry around Pokemon Eggs without them taking up party space...so...yeah..."

He perks up a little when Terra mentions he's taking cooking classes in exchange for Farfetch'd.

"...oh?  Well, I hope Farfetch'd has a good home now.  Probably a lot better than where he would have ended up otherwise, at any rate...in any case...well, good luck with the cooking class.  Er...well, not good luck, but...just...keep up the good work, is what I'm trying to say.  If you're enjoying the classes, that's a good thing, too.  Should be easier to motivate yourself to complete them, yeah?"

(...)

Honestly, I'm not sure how Ditto would react to the marshmallows being offered to him.  He IS a doggy at the moment, but he's also a very wild wolf...fortunately, not SO wild that he's uncontrollable, but he definitely isn't your average Mightyena...

(...)

Nathan is a little surprised when Terra opts to leave Angie with him temporarily.  And she apparently wanted to meet him after evolving?  Oh my...well, it's not entirely surprising, but...

"...well, uh...if she wants to meet, then yeah, it'd be rude of me to turn that request down...oh, uh, yeah, no, of course I won't try to order her around without her permission.  Wouldn't dream of it.  That's the last thing you want to do when it comes to Dragons."

Well, once Terra's gone off to do his stuff in Stair and Nathan's finished his own preparations, Nathan'll have to take some time to talk/hang out with Angie.  Might have to wait on Windos and flashback to this interaction later (or do it via PMs), though.

Bidoof
2/2/0
Simple or Unaware, your choice because he has a small litter of them
Defense Curl, Rollout, Yawn, Amnesia, Rock Smash, Cut
The HMs work like in the rulebook as far as stats go.

Jigglypuff
2/2/1
Competitive
Sing, Defense Curl, Round, Rollout, Mimic, Hyper Voice, Disarming Voice, Fake Tears
Why is Mimic both a ? move and a level up move.

Nathan and Terra get 2 XP, I like that you two are playing off each other on this Terra Improvement Project.

The Shelter's secretary just shrugs and takes the Pokeballs and money. She does give a glance and a grimace at the Duskull inside, but it's not her job to deal with it! She reminds you that you may accompany your Pokemon to camp to earn extra XP for them, but presumably Terra responds that he needs to travel.

Lemme think of some Eggs
-Qwilfish
-Yanma - the Egg has already had contact with Primal Forces, having been dredged up out of the Ruins
-Remoraid
-Seedot
-A very squishy and rubbery Egg with strange blinking spots on it

Hmmmm...yeah, not really interested in the Bidoof, to be honest.  Rock Smash and Cut kinda lose their appeal when Cut is kinda 'eh', you have a Cut user already, and you have the ROCK SMASH HM.  And Bidoof on its own is...eh, even if +3 Defense from Amnesia is pretty cool.

As for Jigglypuff...before I decide on that one, what are some examples of common TMs?  (and I have no idea why Mimic is listed as both a level up move and a ? move.  Wouldn't be surprised if it's another error on the writers' part)

Common TMs would contain moves with lower Power levels or moves that increase a stat by just one level.
Water Gun, Double Team, Aerial Ace, Thief.
Also moves that are very popular and in high demand.
Toxic. Protect. Etc.
