Hahaha.  It's nice to see that the bees are as lively as ever.  Seeing that brings a smile to Nathan's face, though he hopes that Princess is still thinking about what kind of ruler she wants to be, too.

So, Nathan's 3rd Encounter: Definitely want to start on doing some more move tutoring.  Problem is, the move I'd like to teach definitely needs GM approval first.  Not because it's not listed in the book as a ? move, but because we haven't seen much of it in the campaign so far, and I don't think we have any pokemon in the party that can currently use the move.

The move I'd like to start tutoring if possible is Drill Run on Swiftfire.  Is that doable since it's possibly a move that Nathan could have seen some of the Rapidash back home using?  (Morning Sun and Double Kick are other moves Nathan could possibly be familiar with for the same reason, thinking about it...definitely not Horn Drill, though)

If not, I'll instead start on teaching Kumo how to use Roost with Masq's help. (as Roost is on her ? list, and it'd go great with Cotton Guard and the built in Keen Eye effect!)

Move Tutoring Roll!
3 Insight + 5 Knowledge + 1 Move Tutoring (+1 success if tutoring Roost to Kumo with Masq's help) = 9 D6 (+1 Success for Roost)
Note: Drill Run requires 12 cumulative successes to teach, Roost requires 10

Max and Mallorn's Rapidash both know Drill Run. So I'll say yes.

(1)(6)(2)(6)(2)(1) (3)(5)(6) Only 3 successes, which I guess is fair considering it's been a while since Nathan saw the move. Maybe next time it will all come back to him a little better.

Delphox doesn't really want to eat it because there is too much capsaicin in there even for a Fire type. It'd need to be cored of its seeds and maybe boiled a little first. Then he'll eat one.

Ahhh. That means Shiva won't even dare to taste this fruit and makes sure to wash her hands properly with Vaporeon's help after having packed them all away, she'll save one fruit to ask Spira/@Mikaruge108 whether he could help her on preparing it as soon as she got out of the Safari Zone.

You're out of Slots, but you can still spend a little time. The most interesting thing you see on your slow walk out is a rare Girafarig, this one with a very long Normal-type neck. It's monching on some tall acacia leaves, which are packed with nutrients. You also hear the characteristic sound of a Pyroar coming from Area 5.

Maybe tomorrow her duties will bring her that deep into the Zone or she could ask to join an experienced Ranger, after having a horde of Whirlipede rolling right past her and their evolved form jumping at her Shiva's insecurity and respect towards those last Levels has increased - increased enough to be a bit scared of Area 6 even. Area 5 is her pain barrier.

Ah, if there's a bit more time she delightfully uses that time to get a better feeling of the Safari Zone and familiarize herself with the area, mindfully marking interesting spots on her map. The whole time Primal Glaceon, Nightshade and Delphox stay out and accompany their Master, they all are encouraged to enjoy and value the plentiful nature around - at most Glaceon as he probably has never seen such a landscape before in his time!~ Shiva takes care how he reacts to it and the sunshine tickling his fur, hopefully not negatively due to his current Ice Typeing.

Humm... If these acacia leaves are so nutritively, Shiva would be happy to collect a handful for new Pangoro to feed on (I see them as strict herbivores), so she slowly and carefully gets as close as the noble Girafarig allows her to. With her body language she indicates that she means no harm and is more interested in the tree it monches on, only when Girafarig doesn't react negatively or aggressively she feels safe enough to try getting some.  Could Helios maybe use Ally Switch on Shiva to have her switch places with a bird Pokemon inside the tree maybe? If that isn't possible she'll ask Lilith to help her out with her Telekinesis by lifting her up once more.

Given the info I got back (Thanks, Iron), and the fact that almost everyone but Spiritmon is done with all their Encounters for the day, I'll briefly outline what Terra does, and his plan of action:

- Terra boldly strides forward closer to better survey the scene with Melly trotting by his side look peppy but Alert for the dangers afield, and Genie hovering over him like an great big draconic raptor, eyeing the swarms with calculated mischief and unsettling glee.
- He orders Melly to began laying down an Electric Terrain that can span the entire/most of area occupied by the amassed Weedles/Sunkerns, Howl to STRENGTH HER FIGHTING SPIRIT, then charge off into the thick of things and begin letting loose Discharges until the swarms are all put down (Two Discharges this Round, then 4 Every Round Afterwards).
- Genie, on the other hand, gets orders to protect and guard her fellow fem fatal, flying around Melly using 4 Rock Slides per Round to both keep the Bugs/Grasses off the Electric Fenrir and help thin their numbers.
*.....However, if its possible (And if so, only if it doesn't negatively affect the Accuracy Dice of Terra's Pokemon), then I'd prefer an alternative course of action: at Terra's behest, Melly hops onto the back of Genie, and together they fly off to the swarm, with the lightning wolf utilzing the dragonfly princess as both a moblie platform and Cover to quickly and safely fry all the swarms in a jiffy! In that case, Melly will only Howl and then use Discharge 3 times on Genie (As ET requires contact with the ground to benefit/be affected by it), while the mischievous dragoness simply sticks to her regular plan of 4 Rock Slides per Round. Its a clever plan and makes for quite the impressive scene, so if its possible, why not try?
- Before he gives the go ahead for Melly/Genie to execute his orders, Terra draws in a deep breath, before he booms out a warning to all else as to what he's about to do. It is as follows: "Everyone. My Manetric will be using Discharge to defeat swarms of Pokemon. Clear off fields, for your own safety."
- With that said and after briefly observing if people are actually listening to him, he'll point towards the swarms and say "Go," a clear indication for them to get to work.
- Although its unlikely, if Melly and/or Genie get seriously hurt by the swarms of Pokemon (They fall bellow 1/3 HP), they have orders to flee and come back for healing (1 Potion each), then go back into the fray until everything wild is Fainted.

That should be all, so let's just hope a Pokemon Zerg Rush is no match for the mountain of the men and his partners!

Dice Rolls for Howl should be 11D6 Base Dice (If it uses Intimidate), Discharge 10D6 Dice, and Rock Slide 9D6 Dice (Due to -1 Accuracy of Move), and Melly + Genie are using 4 Actions each, so Base Dice Rolls should be 7/5/4/3D6 for Melly, and 5/4/3/2D6 for Genie.

Yes, that would certainly work. You gather some, unbothered by Girafarig who doesn't seem to realize he's been out-adapted.

*Flashback!*

Sometime after visiting the general store he purchased his recent supplies, Terra checks the area for everyone to see how they are doing, and finds only Nathan training his Pokemon (Since Shiva and Heart are probably in the middle of their own Encounters/Out of sight, and I don't know what Spira is doing, so I assume he's vanished for the time being). Naturally a bit worried at spotting just the boy out in the open (As Tezeal Valley is partly a wild place, and therefore the inherent dangers of said wilds may have whisked off his 'missing' friends), the sagely monk makes his way over to them to ask about them, with eyebrows scrunched together and a frown painted on his mildly stoic facade.

"Nathan? You seen Shiva, Heart, and Spira? *Shake* Not in area, so......wondering where they are. Tezeal Valley is........rough and wild, like frontier, so......*Frown deepens* worried they get lost in it, or tough Pokemon causing them trouble. *Beat* Oh, and how are you doing? Look fine and happy, but want to......hear answer from you."

(There! Floor's open for them to bring up the Safari Zone, then ask for some dosh!)

Weedle Swarm Round 1

I don't think Manectric really fits on Flygon - 5' vs 6', and Manectric needs all four paws squarely on a surface. He could ride something like Delta Onix, or Valder's old Mamoswine.

Everyone clears the field, shaking Weedle from their boots. Manectric starts things off with an Electric Terrain. Terra has to shout to be heard above the chewing.

Electric Terrain 1
(1)(2)(6)(5)(4)(2) That goes off just fine!

Rock Slide 1
(4)(5)(5)(3)(3)(1)
And the Rock Slide keeps Melly from being stung.

Howl 1
(1)(2)(6)(5)(1) Melly is strengthened!

Rock Slide 2
(2)(3)(3)(5)(2)
Still safe.

Discharge 3
(4)(6)(1)(1) Melly wipes out a battlefield of Weedle with a single move! Most of the Sunkern are still up, but they'll fall to the second Discharge.

Rock Slide 3
(3)(1)(1)(6) This Rock Slide fails, but all the Weedle are gone and the Sunkern aren't physically aggressive. So Melly is fine.

Discharge 4
(5)(5)(6)
An entire third of the Sunkern and Weedle are now gone! One battlefield's worth.

You can move to another area where they're thick again, but your Electric Terrain won't be applicable there. Would you set it back up, ensuring enough damage to Faint the Weedle with every attack?

In regard to setting up ET every time per field, the answer is yes, as taking a bit of time to ensure that those dangerous pests are OHKOed is just a smart move, even if it gives said pests time to retaliate. Genie will do her job of provide protection with 3 Rock Slides (6/5/4D6 Base Dice Rolls), while Melly sticks to the pattern of 1 Electric Terrain and 3 Discharges per area first Round, then 4 Discharges every Round afterwards if their are still stranglers somehow (5/4/3/2D6 Base Dice Rolls). If people are in those areas, Terra will give them the same warning as last time to git gone for their own good.

At this point in time, Nathan's currently training Emolga, Swiftfire, and Gallade.  Emolga does kinda miss the trees of his old home, but there's lots and lots of space for him to fly around here!  Wheeeee!!

And the same goes for Swiftfire with the open space.  She's able to run around to her heart's content with so much unoccupied ground!

Gallade, meanwhile, is running through the motions of some of his techniques.  While the area isn't well suited to it, rusty techniques are no better than a dull blade.  While most of the attacks he's practicing involve slashing in some manner or concentrating his psychic abilities on a specific task, he's working on adding some punches into his regular routine!  Now that he's finally learned Drain Punch, he wants to get some good use out of it!

As for Nathan himself...he's standing back and watching the different ways his pokemon train.  Mostly to make sure they're both having fun and working hard, but also partially because it makes him happy to see pokemon enjoying themselves.  He's also occasionally glancing in an entirely different direction to check on Zippy and Princess as they zip around the area collecting oodles of Honey and scouting, but the bulk of his attention is on the three pokemon that are training.

...well, until Terra approaches to ask him about the whereabouts of the rest of the group, that is.

"...everyone else?  Ummmm...sorry, can't say I saw where they went...kinda lost track of them while I was talking with Belle and Tramp, to be honest...I'm sure they're fine, though.  Teazel Valley is hardly the wildest place we've been to.  And the Rangers are always on duty and never far away in this area. The place is basically a League run nature preserve of sorts, after all."  Nathan doesn't list any examples of wilder places, but he shouldn't have to, given the group literally just visited a few places practically untouched by human civilization in any significant manner. And the Safari Zone itself is much wilder than the gateway to it, particularly when you get deeper in.

Then Terra asks about how Nathan is doing, and the subject in question turns to look at his pokemon while they Train.  "Well, you said it already.  Doing okay enough.  Just trying to prepare for the Safari Cup tomorrow."

Nathan pulls his wallet out of his pocket and starts flipping through the contents, counting in his head, not really paying too much attention to Terra right now.  Given that Terra's money savvy, he can probably tell that Nathan has a little over $5k at a glance. Maybe almost $6k.

"...and figure out what supplies I'm going to need to buy...and how to afford it...maybe I shouldn't have bought that Dragon Fang back in Cress...or maybe those 2 Ultra Balls..."

Basically, Nathan's just thinking out loud at the moment, not specifically asking Terra for anything.

EDIT: Also, whoops! Just realized I subtracted more money than I should have when I purchased those Ultra Balls! Should have been $2.4k for 2 of them, not $3k! Adding that $600 back to Nathan's funds now to correct that, and the post where I did shopping in Cress has been corrected as well!

Heart in the beggining was not very hopefull in the use of the move. But then he could glimpse the outline of Sawsbuck, shining like a starlight. Then answear then struck him like a arrow. He see such move before. "Camouflage...of course! No wonder Sawsbuck was disapearing! He was using his speed and camuflage to hide in the enviroment! Now...I guess I have a plan." He send orders to all his Pokemon. Heart also release his last Pokemon: Caesar. "Nidorina. Honrchkwon. I need you two to disrupt and interfere with Sawsbuck camouflage so I need you two to use Moonlight and Haze to keep changing the enviroment. This will also take Sawsbuck with his guard down. Honchrow also use Pursuit to keep you close to him to not let him escape, but do not attack him, and when get close use Swager to make him Confuse. Startle him to make him run in my direction. Caesar, I need you to go with Ambipom to put Poison Spikes to make Sawsbuck get slowed and trapped. The Poison Spikes will not hurt him, but it will reduce his moves and trap him."

"Viktor, Sawsbuck its somehow protect by some Earthpower drawn from the forest itself. I need you to ingraining yourself and and ask nature to not help Sawsbuck or forcibly cut off their access to the energies supplying their guard. He is gaining some earthpower with the conection with nature itself, but you Viktor IS a Guardian Tree Spirit and your species can communicate with Nature. Heracross, I need you to help Honckrow startle Sawsbuck and make him run though the Poison Spikes traps. Even if you are not a strong flying, you can climb in the trees from time to time, and make Sawsbuck get trapped and confuse in the traps. And thats gonna be the moment I will grab him. All we need is grab and catch him."

"Alright everyone! If you all understand the plan, lets go ahead! Time to begin the plan catch Deer!"
