Then it was a good decision to go for the risk and sign up for Area 6 to give Shiva an opportunity to proof her skills. :>

Just enough birch bark for exactly one small basket is enough and all me and Shiva would wish for, thank you!~ Means no need to search more in another Encounter.

Anubi doesn't need to have a comprehensive Knowledge of all Pokemon to know their partner pulled in a looong Poison type of some sort, and one that was EXTREMELY ornery at that. One that was probably partly Water type or resistant to Fire in some manner too, given its aquatic nature, so it was even more of trail for him to overcome. Not good for him in one sense, but in another it was great, since he's ALWAYS raring for a challenge, and it looks like this poisonous sea serpent will put up a good one!

Terra, on the other hand, was privately thankful he'd laid those Hazards earlier to soften such beasts up for Anubi, as otherwise he'd probably have to send another of his partners out to lend an hand. Thrilling Fight for his blue bomber or not, that foul fishie had many advantages over them while they hardly knew anything about it, so he had to plan his approach carefully......and hope that they follow through with it.

"Anubi, Nasty Plot and then Screech......purple seaweed monster, then hit it with all you got. Watch it carefully too, and be prepared to.....change up attacks. Fight hard, and do your best."

Orders: Assuming Anubi listens, Nasty Plot and then Screech to increase those Damage Dice to their max in order to offset the Resisted Damage of Force Palm/Reversal (Whichever would deal more Damage). If Dragalge uses a Dragon type Move at any point except for Dragon Tail, though, then whatever Action after Screech will be replaced with Copycat. Anubi will attempt 4 Actions this Round in total, so Move Order => Nasty Plot, Screech, Force Palm/Reversal/Copycat X2 . Terra will wait until Anubi suffers 5 HP Damage or more to heal them with an Energy Powder after he attacks. Its time for tangle with the caustic kelp, and hope it doesn't drag the blue bomber down under!

Moves

Nasty Plot
Accuracy: 11D6 - 4 Actions = 7D6 Dice
Effect: Known

Screech
Accuracy: DEX (2) + Fight (5) + Channel (3) - 5 Actions = 5D6 Dice
Effect: - 2 Defense on Target

Force Palm (If Anubi has less than or equal to 2 Damage)
Accuracy: 11D6 Base - 6/7 Actions = 5/4D6 Dice
Damage: STR + 2 + STAB - IE = 8/10D6 - 1 Damage (Without Screech)
Effect: *Paralyze 3*

Reversal (If Anubi has 3 or more Damage)
Accuracy: Same as FP
Damage: Varies, but min Damage of Move at requirements is 10/12D6 - 1 Damage, and max is 12/14D6 - 1 Damage (Without Screech)
Effect: Add + 1 DmageDice for every point of Damage on user, up to a max of 5 Damage Dice Added.

Copycat
Accuracy: Same as Target's Move
Damage: Roll Same No of Damage Dice as Target's Move
Effect: Same as Target's Move, if any.

Time to send orders. "D-Onix! Use Tailwind and go ahead with four Chatter! Heracross! Focus in one point with Pin Missile all five times! Dont remember your Razor Claw can Flinch your foes so better use it!" (I also using 30XP to increase my strengh to 4).

Tailwind Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Channel (3) - Actions (5) = 7D6
Effect: Increase Dex to the user and allies.

Chatter Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Perform (2) + Tailwind (2) - Actions (6/7/8/9) = 7D6/6D6/5D6/4D6
Damage: Power (2) + STR (4) + STAB (1) + SE (1) = 7D6+1
Effect: D3 to paralyze the foe

Pin Missile Barrage Accuracy: Dex (5) + Fight (4) + Brawl (3) + Tailwind (2) - Accuracy (1) - Actions (5/6/7/8/9) = 8D6/7D6/6D6/5D6/4D6
Damage: Power (1) + STR (4) + STAB (1) + SE (2) = 6D6+2
Effect: Successive actions.

Extra notes: D-Onix have +1 Defense thanks to Everlink Armor and Heracross is equipped with Razor Claw so each strike have 1D6 to Flinch Exxegcute. Take that you Egg face Pokemon!

Dragalge Round 1

Nasty Plot 1
(3)(4)(6)(5)(4)(4) (2)
+2 Str for Anubi

The monster starts spraying a foul-smelling ink.

Sludge Bomb 1
(4)(2)(3)(4)(6)(6) (4)(4) Critical hit
5 Str + 3 power +1 stab -6 + crit = 5d6
(1)(4)(1)(6)(3) Anubi takes 1 dmg
CD: (5)(1)(3)

Luckily, Anubi ran through some rushes just as the goo struck. He avoided the worst of it, shouting as he ran.

Screech 2
(1)(6)(2)(3)(2)
-2 defense for Dragalge

Here's another watery Pokemon that likes to fight with his tail!
Poison Tail 2
(5)(4)(6)(1)(4)(5) (4) Critical hit.
(4)(2)(2)(5) Anubi takes 2 dmg 6/9hp -1 pain
CD: (2)(3)(3)(5)

Dragalge is feeling confident. He hasn't taken a hit and he's critted his opponent twice...

Reversal 3
(6)(4)(5)(6)
9d6-1 after Vit*
(2)(4)(3)(5)(4)(1) (4)(3)(4) Dragalge takes 4 dmg in one blow as Anubi turns it around. 5/11 -2 pain.

Dragalge gives a menacing shout, infusing it with the power of a frustrated dragon.

Dragon Pulse 3
(3)(2)(1)(5)(6)
(1)(5)(3) Anubi takes 1 dmg 5/9hp -1 pain

I've been doing Copycat in that it uses the same formula as the opponent, but using your own stats.

Copycat 4
(4)(5)(6)
(4)(6)(5)(2)(2) Dragalge takes 4 dmg 1/11hp -3 pain.

Congrats on the elevated Strength!

Exeggcute Round 1

Pin Missile 1 - you don't get Tailwind because Heracross is first. And you have to hold back every attack with the potential to crit.
(6)(6)(1)(5)(4)(6) Critical. (4)(2)(3) Exeggcute takes 2 dmg 4/6hp
(3)(3)(1)(3)(3) Miss
(4)(5)(1)(1) Hit (3)(3)(3) Exeggcute takes 1 dmg 3/6hp
(3)(4)(1) Hit (4)(6)(2) Exeggcute takes 2 dmg 1/6hp -3 pain
Heracross stops!

Exeggcute also flinches, but it's obviously going to give up. Are you going for a capture or just trying to drive it off?

(Wouldn't Copycat do SE Damage against Dragalge? And What about Poison Touch/Poison Point? Poison Point would have a chance to trigger on Reversal, and Poison Touch would add Poison Dice to Poison Tail)

Terra's eyes widened when the caustic kelp serpent used Dragon Pulse, as very Pokemon outside Dragon types were capable of using such a fearsome blast of pure energy, before he focused on the beast with keen interest.

'Oh.....another sneaky Dragon. Hm....Anubi doing well against them, though, so it not as........threatening as Goodra. ....Maybe. Shouldn't take chances with it, so need to.......defeat it quickly.'

With that in mind, he threw out a hand at the newly revealed poisonous sea drake, and barked out a short order.

"Anubi, finish fight with Poison Dragon using Force Palms! Want it down NOW, so take them out!"

Orders: Anubi will be spamming 4 Force Palms per Round for now on, in the hopes of both Paralyzing and KOing the Beast. If it ends up Paralyzed, 2 Pokeball will be used to catch it first, and if it breaks all of Terra's Great Balls will be used (3) in an attempt to catch it. If Paralysis Fails, skip straight to using the Great Balls. If all capture attempts fails, Terra will hide the drake and go buy 2 more Great Balls, and then come back to try and catch them with them.

After Dragalge is hopefully caught and sent to the PC, Basteele will be sent out to renew the Toxic Spikes, and then she'll be his choice of battle partner for the third Encounter of Fishing, using the last of his Better Quality Bait. That should be that!

Move

Force Palm X4
Accuracy: 6/5/4/3D6 Dice (Accounting for Pain)
Damage: STR (*7) + 2 + STAB - VIT (*3) = 7D6 - 1 Damage
Effect: *Paralyze 3*

Cool.  So...does that Noctowl Pellet actually do anything for Phanpy's Natural Gift, outta curiosity?

In any case, that's two pokemon captured for potential use in the tournament tomorrow.  Nathan's going to have to get some stronger ones for sure, though...these Area 4 pokemon are decent, but they're not quite what Nathan was hoping to find...

Before heading anywhere, though, Nathan's going to use one of those Tinctures of Ranses (aka Berry Juice) to restore Grid's missing 2 HP.  All better!

Now then, now that we've done a little exploring in our comfort zone, it's time to get out of it a little! On to Area 6!  What dangers and strong pokemon await Nathan there, I wonder?
