Sarimanrock, though......hmm.
Me and Mika as the more quiet ones cin comparison are asked to share any suggestions too? That's cute of you, appreciated. ^_^ I, eh, don't really have any suggestions out of the blue, but I like Sarimanrock for the lolz and Poseidon or abbreviated to Posei sounds sounds rather neat as well. The later makes me think of 'Triton' as the typical Greek god of the sea, some searching online also revealed 'Suijin' as both the god of water in Shinto and as a representation of all mythological and magical creatures found in bodies of water. Choice is yours in the end.
Besides, @ Spiritmon: Given you participate in the Cup and barely have caught anything yet, you're aware that in the tournament belonging to the Cup you're only allowed to use Pokemon you've caught within the Safari Zone? I just wanted to make sure you know and don't end up facing an unpleasant suprise, is all!

Suijin definitely sounds like something Terra would have.

You're only allowed to use Safari Balls in the Safari Zone, Spirit. Good news: they're Seal Strength 4 and you started with 20. Bade news: you only have 20, and the really good/rare stuff tends to be harder to catch without inflicting oodles of status on them on top of a -2/-3 Pain Penalty.

Then I going to throw 2 Safari balls in both Kangas when they have 2 or 3 pain penalty.

Day 72 is when the tournament happens. You get to squeeze in 2 more encounters before the tournament starts, though.
There's a reason I had Nathan ask for clarification on what some of the rules about the tournament battles were. 2v2 singles, single elimination, Safari Zone catches only, battle until fainting. Tournament takes up the entire today, and there's little chance to properly rest in between them. If a pokemon faints, you'll have to use a Revive or similar to be able to use them later in the tournament. Nurse Joy can heal up to -2 Pain (according to what Iron's stated) in between battles if the pokemon isn't fainted.
The prizes are listed on the intro post for Teazel Valley, but I'll list them again here just because.
Prizes:
All participants get a Poke Doll of a random Safari Zone mon, regardless of how you place in the tournament
3rd Place prize is $5k and you get to keep the rental equipment and any Safari Balls you didn't use.
2nd Place prize is $15k and your pick of an uncommon pokemon that can be found in the Safari Zone (Scyther, Pinsir, etc.)
1st Place Prize is $25k and your pick of a rare Delta Species that lives in the Safari Zone (Delta Parasect, etc.)
And that should be everything you need to know about the Safari Cup Tournament.

Alright, I think I know what to name Politoed now: Poseidon (Posei), since most everyone liked it in some fashion! I was thinking about Suijin, but I felt that is a bit too much of a name for Poli, (Sounds like something a hypothetical trainer would nickname a Kyorge or Manaphy!), and it shares the first two letters of the froggie's original name/species, which is neat! He may not be able to cause Earthquakes or control horses, but Terra's toad sure as heck can control the seas one day!
Mika's suggestion intrigues me despite not being chosen, so I think I'll nickname a Gyarados that Terra will likely end up fishing up if his luck improves/worsens drastically the next time he fishes. If the beast can even be tamed, that is......probably not, but that wouldn't deter him! Plus, if Terra had them and Dusclops/Dusknoir out, he'd probably auto win all his Intimidate Rolls due to Pressure Effects and......well, Gyara's Intimidate

Wow.....Angel is pretty salty losing Chansey to Spira! Honestly though, I don't blame her, for the pink nursemon is a valuable catch indeed! Already Spira has a Super Dragonfly and Cleric for the competition, and I think he still has a couple more Encounters left, so he's doing great so far!
How much is a Chansey worth in XP and Poke, though? Might be interested in trading for it later from Spira, if the price for it isn't too steep.

Ya know what makes it worse?
Angela would have caught Chansey in the previous Round, but didn't due to an error on Iron's part.
Quote:Angela Safari Ball 2
(4)(4)(3)(6) v (1)(3)(1)(1)(1)(5) (6)(5)(4) Wowwww that was close! The ball doesn't break, but Chansey does get out.
3 Seal VS 2 Resist (due to four (1) results). Chansey wouldn't have escaped from that one if the math had been double checked.
If that error hadn't been beneficial for the player side of things, I would have called it out immediately.
Spira also still has 2 encounters left iirc.

Y'know, out of curiosity I checked the system for Overgrown Pokemon in the book, if Iron is using the same ratio, that Yanma is almost as big, if not larger than a Yanmega, wow. Also quick question:
The book says Yanma evolves after "contact with primal forces" Does that mean learning Ancient Power like in the games?
